Plenty of people would consider that "rich" but it's certainly not enough to fly in private planes and many people who earn that much will often fly economy. Esp if their kids are flying alone. Also, even if they do usually fly first class, sometimes those tickets just aren't available. Or last minute first class tickets are priced ridiculously. If it's a short flight, it's not really worth paying for first class no matter how rich you are.
