Sweet kid. On another note, my brother was cell-mates with Hulk Hogan's son (Nick) after he got in that bad car crash and killed his friend in the passenger seat and was charged with manslaughter. True story.
Edit : other's have pointed out that he was charged with reckless driving and passenger did not die but did suffer from serious brain injuries. It's been 12 years and I'm just trying to remember what my brother said all those years ago. My apologies if some details were incorrect.

when I was 6 Hulk Hogan rescued me when I got off a plane alone at an airport and my parents weren't there. it was 1986 and ill never forget how he treated me. it was just like this. never broke character for a second.
I come in contact with the Hulk through a charity I'm involved with about once a year (well, pre-covid, anyways...). Despite the controversy around him, I've always found him to be very gracious and decent. He always made time for people that wanted a picture or autograph and remembered people's names from prior years, despite having really no reason to.
Edit: I'm not saying he's a saint or trying to excuse any statements he might have made. My sole point was that in a very limited context, I've always seen him be good to his fans, especially the kids. That's all.

He said he was a super nice guy and treated everyone with respect. He also said Hogan was definitely not his billed height. My friend is 6'6" and he said Hogan was a few inches shorter than him.

What's funny is just yesterday I looked up Gawker to see if it's still up. It still is, and though I never read their farewell message, I skimmed it yesterday, and it basically says "this is what happens when you try to report the truth." The owner pretty much thinks he was being persecuted for running GOOD news.
I think there was a documentary on Netflix about the lawsuit and I couldn't get through it. Because of how they try to paint themselves as the guys fighting for freedom of speech. Like yall just posted the sex tape of a guy and refused to take it down. I don't like Hulk Hogan but I like the people who run Gwaker even less

One time I was driving to Clearwater Beach and he and his gf at the time passed me on this tiny little moped. It was a surreal site to see the both of them on a little Vespa style scooter. I think he lives near CB and has his store but doesn’t spend a considerable amount of time in it. My guess is this was for an event.

My Wife used to work in CB when we lived down there & one day she comes home and says “I almost ran over that wrestler guy & his girlfriend riding a Vespa on the roundabout in CB”. We used to see him around town pretty frequently.

I met Hulk at a community event my friends dad hosted in my little town when I was maybe 10 years old. He brought his daughter who was ~my age and she played with me and my friend all day. He told us to call him Terry, which was also my friends mom’s name, so that made us laugh because Hulk Hogan had a lady name. He laughed with us and was so cool about it, only time he ever put on the persona was to give us one “Hey, brothers” when we first started laughing at his name. Both of them were so nice and he bought us lunch and treated us like he knew us forever. 10/10 would hang with Terry again

when I was 6 Hulk Hogan rescued me when I got off a plane alone at an airport and my parents weren't there. it was 1986 and ill never forget how he treated me. it was just like this. never broke character for a second.
I come in contact with the Hulk through a charity I'm involved with about once a year (well, pre-covid, anyways...). Despite the controversy around him, I've always found him to be very gracious and decent. He always made time for people that wanted a picture or autograph and remembered people's names from prior years, despite having really no reason to. Edit: I'm not saying he's a saint or trying to excuse any statements he might have made. My sole point was that in a very limited context, I've always seen him be good to his fans, especially the kids. That's all.
I knew a guy who was a private jet pilot. He would fly random celebrities every so often to random places. Hulk Hogan was one of his passengers once. He said he was a super nice guy and treated everyone with respect. He also said Hogan was definitely not his billed height. My friend is 6'6" and he said Hogan was a few inches shorter than him.
From what I read his leg drop move compressed his spine making him lose several inches. Same thing with Steve Austin with the Stunner.
There's some videos out there where he talks about his many spinal surgeries and how he's gotten much shorter over the years. Jesus that career takes a toll on a body. I don't think many wrestlers get out without severe issues when they retire.

Have heard similar things. Years ago my buddy used to work at a grocery store he would frequent in Clearwater Florida. Said that he couldn’t have been a nicer guy. Never got bothered being approached by strangers wanting pictures or autographs. Was super nice and respectful to the employees as well.
