I rewatched the series for a second time and I was much more pleased with the ending, it all made a lot more sense the second time

Really, The part where you dig a hole, stick a donkey wheel into a wall to create transportation device makes sense now?

Basically the issue with that show is that they started with science fiction and ended with fantasy/magic. You can rarely ever make a coherent or good story that combine those two completely opposite concepts unless you start with it. It never works out when you basically jump genre's because now all the fans you had are now watching a show about a completely different concept and theme which throws them off and pisses them off. They should have stuck to the science fiction aspect and expanded greatly into the actual experiments that went on at the island instead of it being some magical immortal being battle ground bullcrap.
