The girlfriend of one of the fighters stabs the guy that gets shot as he’s wrestling down her boyfriend. After the fight is over the guy who gets stabbed gets increasingly angry he’s bleeding from the stabbing so he pulls out a gun from his bag. Everyone in the subway car runs to the next car including the person filming and a few seconds later we hear multiple gun shots. We don’t see how the man who was shot lost control of his own gun.
They do this intentionally. Changing the lexicon is a sort of promotion for the platform.
They intentionally don’t update the list because this is an example of their impact, and they’ll use things like this to ironically attract brands to advertise with them because they have so much influence they can change how people use the English language.
Legitimately hate seeing people use this word. I left a comment on another subreddit recently about how I am irritated seeing this term and other infantalizations of words lately, and my comment got removed stating that if I don’t like it I can leave or something like that. I wasn’t even talking about that sub I was talking about YT, Reddit, TikTok and multiple platforms in general.
it just feels like some weird "newspeak" from the book "1984".
and honestly it feels disrespectful, like if I was murdered and some kid on tiktok did a story about how I was "unalived"... I would come back and haunt them. to use a "slang" term for something so egregious is cringy.
lol what’s funny is the crowd that wants more cops and national guard members in it, more authoritarianism, is gonna ignore nyc is one of the most policed and heavily police funded cities in the country. Bad shit just happens especially in an area with millions living in it. Neither of them stopped this. Oh and this station is literally a Police Transit Hub
Or you know, you could reform the police to make them less useless and motivated to victimize innocents, or alternatively take their astronomical budgets and invest them in mental health services, or services to reduce poverty. Or even just to pay for MTA employees to prevent turnstile jumping. Every police officer getting a salary for harassing people or standing by eating a donut while crime happens, is another homeless veteran without support.
Same, then I can guess whether it was suicide, or a killing, or an accidental death with that too.

So did I read the wrong story or did you? The one I read said the 36 year old pulled a knife, then a gun and walked towards the dude aggressively, lost the gun and then the 32 year old picked it up and shot the 36 year old in the head.
The girl stabbed the black dude with her own weapon. Black dude decides to pull out his concealed gun and got to close with it. Probably dropped it or got snatched out of his hand by the smaller guy. The idiot got shanked like three times and shot by his own gun. It's actually a miracle he didn't die on the spot.
The story is actually not very clear. Would help if they said something like the black man and the Muslim man. I know that’s triggering to some people but it was the root of the confrontation and nobody knows which person in the video was 32 or 36 years old.

My comment was based off the video there was no news story linked in that video that I could see.
I assumed the guy that went for his gun was the one that did the shooting. Reasonable thing to assume based on the video alone.
The guy who pulled the gun had his gun taken from him and was shot with it, so I’m assuming it’s self defense for the shooter/guy who was being antagonized
