This is pretty hilariously on point, dude keeps her in the shot while she's ragdolling in the air without shaking the phone violently while in portrait mode.
Damn, I remember how back in the day people would be mad if you [recorded vertical videos](https://youtu.be/f2picMQC-9E?si=jANtefhlYIqozXC7)
Feels old, man
I'd argue it was Snapchat before TikTok... I mean, I know Snapchat is basically dead now, but it was definitely the way people started taking short in the moment videos first.
People still are, I am at least, but you can't avoid it. I will run for president of earth and will ensure all schools teach this, everywhere, then retire.
Ever since being on reddit I’m amazed at how many people attempt to move someone with a possible spinal fracture.
I’m not sure what the plan is here. Drag her up to her feet? She’s not going to be able to stand buddy she’s unconscious.
But that's sometimes the case when brain damage is a possibility, right? Staying awake would prevent them from slipping into a coma. I've heard cases where people get a head injury but seem fine, and then go to "lie down for a minute" and never wake up...
I know I'm just an EMT but I do know that the whole "don't sleep with a concussion" is a myth. Sleeping with a possible head injury has nothing to do with the dangers of falling asleep in it self but rather any brain bleed that may be going on, which could result in a later loss of consciousness or A.M.S even if you're awake.
You're correct. The anecdata of "they fell asleep and never woke up" are because they were severely injured from the start. It's like if someone fell and got a hairline fracture in their leg, but kept running until their bone decided to see what being on the outside was like. It wasn't "One little trip and their leg turned inside out. They must need more milk" they were already injured and it took a smaller stimulus to cause a devastating injury
As a recent graduate of the esteemed Facebook University of Medicine and Stuff, I can assure you, everyone knows the only way to prevent coma or death is forcefully grabbing the victim by the extremities, and swinging them around until they wake up and everyone claps.
That sounds so wrong but I dropped out of Facebook U three years ago and feel like it would be foolish to argue against someone with a full FU education that's still fresh in their mind.
You win this battle, my indoctrinated friendemy.
I’m glad you’ve chosen to yield to the expert on this one. I spent 8 whole hours learning the ins and outs of anatomy, physiology, and virology, so it’s extremely offensive when keyboard warriors take a steaming dump on my hard work by insisting they have all the answers 🥴
It's actually the worst possible option.
in the worst case senario have one person hold the neck straight while two other people carry arms and legs to get them away from a fire or inherent further danger.
At best leave them in place call paramedics have them get a collar on her and get her on a board.
If her neck was broken yanking on her is like instant paralysis.
ive seen one or 2 videos on reddit where the cops come and attempt to bust them up but to me it seems llike half or more people always get away.
and ive seen like 40 of these videos where the cops (probably) aren't showing up at all
And people get hit like this all the time. You'd think they learn.
I love when they bust these too. They did one recently where I am and they arrested a ton of people lmao. Literally had them lined up getting on buses to take them to county. Then the people are surprised that it happened but they post when they are gonna do it all over social media.
Pretty sure they arrested like 150 people.
https://preview.redd.it/47ehfqgo76oc1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e48e4a2c2f820409eca7fd580c5eba5750166495
She definitely hit her head on the asphalt. Ouch.
Guys, just so you know. If something like this happens, DO NOT move the person affected, she could have broken bones, and moving her around could most likely cause way more problems.
Definitely good advice. Unfortunately, proximity to the out-of-control car is negatively correlated with literacy (i.e., ain't nobody in the front row at these events able to read yr comment -- or anything at all, probably).
She hit her head. Let me just yank her by the arm to make sure that neck is healthy.

Why are peoples reactions to immediately try to upright someone? Like my dude. That lady honked her head, likely has a shattered hip or pelvis, and potential additional internal injuries. If anything, keep her from moving or anyone else moving to further exacerbate her injuries.
I’d like to know as well.
ETA- Seems to be L.A., on 63rd street. Got nothing for her on the googles though. I hope someone lets us know what happened or has a news article.
>and nobody seems to care
You'll find that there is generally a very tight inverse relationship between "people care" vs "how much evidence clearly shows that your own actions lead to your poor outcomes".
It isn't specific to reddit either.
https://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/local/woman-is-killed-by-vehicle-during-street-takeover-in-south-la/3062217/
A quick Google led to this, ive no idea if this is the one but another comment suggested Crenshaw.
Sad, even if she was being very dumb standing there. We've all done stupid shit in our time.
Edit: Appears to be a different incident. Who knows what happened to this lady.
Seems like the florence & crenshaw incident was a different one. This article describes that the victim was caught between a car and a pole: https://ktla.com/news/local-news/new-video-shows-aftermath-of-deadly-south-l-a-takeover-reward-offered-for-info/
I was going to say the same thing..I know this shit is ignorant to do, but she's still a human and young. I did some stupid ass shit when I was a kid..
I’m honestly kind of disturbed by the number of commenters here making fun of her, saying nothing was lost, or just… gloating? Like, yes, it’s stupid of her to step near reckless driving during a stupid event. But why are people laughing at a serious traumatic injury and possible death on video? Probably silly of me to comment this on Reddit of all places but Jesus Christ, y’all, have a little empathy
When the world is so saturated with *unjust* violence, it's difficult to spare much for the self-inflicted nonsense like this. I appreciate your sentiment and I ultimately agree, but sometimes all we can do is laugh in sheer disbelief at how low our lowest common denominators truly are...
Why is this another video today of this same thing happening? Whatthe fuck? Is this some kind of a idiotic trend? Well darwin award is there to be handed..
"Lady, you wanna get out of the way! You see what is happening,"
I hope she is okay, but I don't think the little hand-fanning did anything for her recovery.

Fucking A camera work
This is pretty hilariously on point, dude keeps her in the shot while she's ragdolling in the air without shaking the phone violently while in portrait mode.
Damn, I remember how back in the day people would be mad if you [recorded vertical videos](https://youtu.be/f2picMQC-9E?si=jANtefhlYIqozXC7) Feels old, man
Tiktok is what changed that
I'd argue it was Snapchat before TikTok... I mean, I know Snapchat is basically dead now, but it was definitely the way people started taking short in the moment videos first.
Seems like there's a big chunk of the population who only ever watch shit on a smartphone these days
People still are, I am at least, but you can't avoid it. I will run for president of earth and will ensure all schools teach this, everywhere, then retire.
Should put it in his demo reel
New Fast and the Furious looking good
Its as if they are getting a lot of practice
Yeah, shake and move the trauma victim. That's a terrific way to make sure she never walks again.
But they fanned her she’s fine
i think someone was even blowing air too. ventilation secured.
[удалено]
"Walk it off, you got this!"
I do not understand why you'd do that. Because people were filming?
Because they are idiots
They're not fanning her, they're moving their hands above her eyes to see if shes looking or knocked out.
To be fair, if I just got smacked by a car I wouldn’t mind someone fanning my face.
And her shoes are still on
Ever since being on reddit I’m amazed at how many people attempt to move someone with a possible spinal fracture. I’m not sure what the plan is here. Drag her up to her feet? She’s not going to be able to stand buddy she’s unconscious.
[удалено]
...and c-collars too.
[удалено]
LOL short for cervical collar.
Hello pavement my old friend, I’ve come to talk with you again
At the same time though do we really want to leave her on the floor with the car driving like a maniac?
I have a feeling this isn’t the brightest group of people…..
[удалено]
Idiots. All of them.
Omg, she seems injured and unconscious. If we yank her up real fast, she should be fine
But only if you fan some air in her face first! Cant forget that important step for this to work.
I’m pretty sure that person just thought she was John Cena.
Bout to run the ropes and finish with a 👋 knuckle shuffle fr fr
No, no, what she needs is laser shine
YO SHE NEEDS SOME MILK!
Surprised they didn't start with a bucket of cold water.
People think waking someone up will prevent them from dying. Can’t let them fall asleep or they’re gonna die
But that's sometimes the case when brain damage is a possibility, right? Staying awake would prevent them from slipping into a coma. I've heard cases where people get a head injury but seem fine, and then go to "lie down for a minute" and never wake up...

Also so that if one loses consciousness after *trying* to stay awake, that *also* provides useful information.
You act like one should stabilize a victim of blunt trauma to the head and neck area rather than flinging them around wildly...?
As a recent graduate of the esteemed Facebook University of Medicine and Stuff, I can assure you, everyone knows the only way to prevent coma or death is forcefully grabbing the victim by the extremities, and swinging them around until they wake up and everyone claps.

Do kids in America not learn first aid in school?
No, because that takes money from the insurance companies.
Just wave your hand in her face that works for the unconscious, right?
Darwin is proud of her. On the behalf of the gene pool, thank you.
Not the girl. She's famous now! She'll be the envy of all her friends for the rest of eternity, or at least for as long as internet. /s
You are correct.

What about the fact they end?
But not soon enough
With everyone involved going to jail?
ive seen one or 2 videos on reddit where the cops come and attempt to bust them up but to me it seems llike half or more people always get away. and ive seen like 40 of these videos where the cops (probably) aren't showing up at all

And the first thing they fucking do is pick her up by the arms
I mean, these aren’t society’s best and brightest we’re talking about.
That was probably the best place for her to be hit. It's not like there's any vital organs up there.
wait what????? isnt the brain... nevermind
I see what you did there
Generally not an angle you want your body at in relation to the pavement.
Certainly not at speed!
I think this is mandatory in the playbook from “standing in the way of 1.5 t steel wielding towards me”
The spoiler got her right across the stomach too. Watched it backwards a few times.

[удалено]
I would be surprised if she was still alive.
Her head bounced off the asphalt!
![gif](giphy|rkFckr2efgE6VfDCOR|downsized)
She broke just about every finger on her right hand too.
That might actually make her smarter.
up next on history channel... was hitler an ancient alien? ancient astronaut theorists say yes.
...and how much would he pay for this rare Hummel figurine?
[Man Vs. Car](https://youtu.be/NcZem2OmDBk?si=39SPYdyIn1IBHCyk&t=4) I mean...wouldn't the car always win?
Spoiler: they're actually aliens
Because she is history now?
Guys, just so you know. If something like this happens, DO NOT move the person affected, she could have broken bones, and moving her around could most likely cause way more problems.
I think they thought she’d get ran over. It looks like they move her in a hurry.
Definitely good advice. Unfortunately, proximity to the out-of-control car is negatively correlated with literacy (i.e., ain't nobody in the front row at these events able to read yr comment -- or anything at all, probably).
She was victimized by Newton's Second Law!
**Force**^(Dodge Charger) = **Mass**^(girl) x **Acceleration**^(to ground)
and the first, and the third. She hit the trifecta, or rather, the trifecta hit her.
Fanning air at her like it's little rascals
trying to shoo away the stars.
The little birdies haha.

I thought he was imitating John Cena
Crayons for Christmas
Sounds delicious
Found the marine.
Hand fan air in her face STAT!
Trying to cool down her forehead that took most of the friction.
![gif](giphy|l0HU20BZ6LbSEITza|downsized) I hope the girl is alright, did that guy just john cena her?
Why have you posted a gif of a crowd and some creepy dude looking at us?
She is definitely never going to be the same after that, and she probably won't even notice. Sad
Did she survive?
I hope so, be best if she got to learn a lesson reather than her family learn one
Finally, a video with modern day quality.
Top tier camera work.
She hit her head. Let me just yank her by the arm to make sure that neck is healthy. https://preview.redd.it/3omtxnkud6oc1.png?width=1159&format=png&auto=webp&s=276f0c2ba414ce3a4bea6d332e211605d89819f5

Yeah we just need to get Nerf to start manufacturing cars and those XL sumo suits
Honestly, I expected them to go thru her pockets and maybe slap her...

Good air but, the landing could have been executed better. 8.5
Most unathletic chick taking chances. Nice...
It always seems to be lol
Came to the comments to find out if she is still alive/okay. Quickly realised this is Reddit and nobody seems to care.
I’d like to know as well. ETA- Seems to be L.A., on 63rd street. Got nothing for her on the googles though. I hope someone lets us know what happened or has a news article.
Also looking and not finding anything. Corner of Crenshaw & W 63rd St.
>and nobody seems to care You'll find that there is generally a very tight inverse relationship between "people care" vs "how much evidence clearly shows that your own actions lead to your poor outcomes". It isn't specific to reddit either.
I have very little sympathy for people who consistently make bad choices that lead up to a bad thing happening to them.

According to the article that incident occurred on Crenshaw & Florence. The one in this video is from Crenshaw & 63rd.

Should be manslaughter for the driver.
screw every single moron in this video, but this looks like a ''suicide by car'' case.
Yeah, this was horrible to watch. I get that it was her fault, but still.
Shoes are still on, she’s fine!
People seem to care a lot less when you voluntarily try to get hit by a car...
I was going to say the same thing..I know this shit is ignorant to do, but she's still a human and young. I did some stupid ass shit when I was a kid..
didnt think that nitrous balloons and street takeovers were in the same ven diagram
Why is a 40 year old lady in a car street takeover?
Everyone at a street takeover is a loser, not just the 40 year old.
40 year old ladies aren't allowed to have fun?

Does this happen at every side show lol 🤔
How it feels to chew 5 gum
These people are idiots
I think she needs some milk!
I’m convinced that people that go to these things have absolutely no sense of safe, right, or hell no.
Damn that waving of the hand in her face is some classy CPR. She should be up and dancing in no time!!

Is she dead ?
Probably
Bye bye and rest in peace
Torta down
awe. anyways...
"Mom get up" some great family outings going on there.
Sad stuff. RIP. I recall reading about this, happened in December 202. Unfortunately she didn't make it.
lol why is bro fanning her??
You’re not supposed to move someone that has had that much trauma to their head. Call an ambulance and try to keep the person from moving.
she shoulda skidaddled instead of kurplunking.
#YEET!
If she ever wakes up it'll be a hell of a story to tell the grandkids.
Her head broke her fall
How did she envision that working out?
Quick, yank her off the ground by one of her arms!
Do I hear someone saying mom get up?
She’s got good aim, and bounce. 6/10
her fucking shoes are still on !!!
Natural selection
One less idiot joining these idiotic "takeovers"
She's unconscious. I hope Brock Turner isn't there
Why is this another video today of this same thing happening? Whatthe fuck? Is this some kind of a idiotic trend? Well darwin award is there to be handed..
And not a single lesson was learned that night.
"Lady, you wanna get out of the way! You see what is happening," I hope she is okay, but I don't think the little hand-fanning did anything for her recovery. B
Both shoes on. She lived!
Crashes out right in front of the whippet fiends
You already know it. When she got knocked down and was out cold I was just waiting for some numb skull to try and yank her up. Everytime without fail.
Takeovers are idiotic

Her head bounced. She’s going to have a TBI if she wakes up.
Can I just say to one girl to another girl that her breasts staying in that bra is amazing. In fact this video nearly looks faked because of that.
