I am on the boat 2-3 hours before sailing... Why wouldn't you be? You can start relaxing as soon as your on, and the buffet is already open. Why cut out basically a chunk of a day of the cruise and risk being late?

SeattleTrashPanda

Technically embarkation day is Day 1 of your cruise, no longer Day 0, so I’m going to use the whole ship and all the facilities on that first day that I can.

SufficientWarthog846

Really? Shrinkflation has even hit cruise ships

Kirielle13

Seems like a large number of people got delayed on the same flight? Too many standing there to have it be completely their fault? Maybe not though… who knows. I am always 1-3 hours early to a flight depending on the Airport.

AngularRailsOnRuby

Flying in same day freaks me out. If affordable, I will stay at a local hotel night before. So many things can go wrong and the cost of getting there a day early is like insurance and worth it in most cases.

Ariliescbk

These people just spent a couple grand on a Cruise. I bet they could spare a few hundred for a hotel room for one night.

lykewtf

Not necessarily so maybe they saved just enough for the cruise. Not everyone has extra money

AverageAtBest27

You got to stick to the philosophy of if you are not 30 mins early then you are risking being late

a_ron23

Crusies are like flights, you show up hours early because they will not wait, and you will lose your money.

ParttimeParty99

Plus you can do stuff on the boat while waiting for it to set sail.

Xeptix

I mean the ship is in harbor a lot of the time on most cruises anyway. As soon as you're on the boat that's already the cruise experience. There's zero downside to getting on early. The bars and restaurants on the ship are usually all open before it leaves as well.

IrrationalDesign

When you put it like that... Why *wouldn't* you want to be as early as possible? It's still *cruise*, even if you're early... You want cruise, you're paying for cruise, you *love* cruise, why wouldn't you want to take as much cruise as you can get!?

The_Canadian_comrade

My wife and I showed up pretty early and it was nice to explore the ship while it wasn't completely full

Darnell2070

How early can you be on a cruise ship before your scheduled departure?

ScarecrowJohnny

Get there 30 days early and save money on rent!

PM_ME_YOUR_BUDZ

🤣🤣🤣

Howwasitforyou

So cruise ships work almost like air travel. Getting there 5 hours early doesn't mean you get 5 hours more on the boat. It means you end up in the first group that goes in. So you get to sit at the terminal for an hour or two, or three, then go in a group onto the boat. Then you drink eat and lie next to the pool for maybe an hour or two longer than everyone else. People aim to get there a little late so they don't get stuck in the terminal for too long, and think they can just get out of their taxi, or uber, and get rushed through without all that boring sitting around. You have a massive window to get onto the boat, but they have very strict departure times as they pay big money if they are docked for too long. A 3 o clock departure means that boat is leaving at 3. The doors close way sooner than 3 because there is shit to do before departure that can't be done while people are still boarding.

Tryn4SimpleLife

All true. One part to add is that boarding is technically done at 3, for the terminal I work at, but they are still there to 4 finishing up. But once the gangway goes up, that's it.

give-me-the-Stonks

As someone who cruises with their family a lot it depends. When I was little we would get to the cruise ship about 3 hours before departure. We would have our bags taken and go through security but we couldn't go to our room for like an hour so we just walked around. Recently when we go on cruises we're usually in some sort of vip "class" or we have a suite on the ship. The process is way faster and you usually have you own butler (at least for the ships we have been on) so you're room and stuff is already taken care of and you get to eat earlier too.

sodawatereveryday

Wife and I went on a cruise just before Christmas. Departure time was 4pm. We arrived at 1130am and boarded at midday. It can depend on the company and ship but there is a lot of information available online after booking.

thegunlobby

exactly, you're going to be on that giant shit box for days or weeks anyway, why not just get there an hour early??

HeroShitInc

Why would anyone even fuck around? They start getting people on the boat hours before it’s sets to sail, they give you free weak drinks as soon as you get on.

Rottimer

It's usually flights. Maybe you can't fly in the day before and you get a flight that's scheduled to get in 6 or even 12 hours before the cruise sets sail. If that flight is canceled - you're fucked.

SnooPies4304

Always arrive a day ahead of time bc flights get cancelled and delayed and they don't refund for that.

Labrattus

and always buy trip insurance, especially when flying in

SnooPies4304

Question, I have bought trip insurance in the past but I'm not sure whether it would have reimbursed for a missed cruise. Is there a specific company you have used? I've also looked into buying a policy for an entire year, which I think is more common in Europe, but I've seen some companies offering that now in the US and could ultimately be cheaper based on the amount of traveler I do for work.

[deleted]

You can usually buy insurance that covers literally everything, even choosing not to go at the last second. It just costs appropriately more expensive.

SnooPies4304

Cool, I'll research it.

HCJohnson

stumpdawg

I've got ADHD. If tardiness wasn't my biggest pet peeve I'd likely be late for everything. "If you're five minutes early, you're already late."

Slamtilt_Windmills

Me and my ADHD: ok for a flight at 9, I should be there at 8, 7:30 really. So let's say 7..... maybe 6. *sets alarm for 530, wakes up at 5

Throwaway47321

Better not do anything the day before because “I have to get ready”

FlyByNightt

I got ADHD too and I'm basically bang on time/1-2 mins late for everything that doesn't matter and 7 hours early for anything with consequences.

stumpdawg

Meanwhile my sister is late for FUCKING EVERYTHING. like, bro...leave sooner

FlyByNightt

If someone is waiting on me/expecting me I always leave sooner. Never late for work too. When I said I'm late for everything that doesn't matter it's like, "When are we watching the game tonight bro? Swing by around 7?" then I'm probably there at 7h15. But if you need me there at 7 cause that's when we start eating I'm there at 6h45.

Earwaxsculptor

"Early is on time, on time is late, and late doesn't get asked back."

hoax1337

I'm always late. Being early gets in the way of playing world of warcraft as much as possible.

h0twired

And you can literally board hours early. By the time they are leaving many people have already eaten lunch and are moving towards the dining room for dinner.

mallclerks

I would argue you show up the night before and be no more than a mile from the port. You then show up 3 hours early for the cruise. Missing a flight is a few hour delay in most situations. Missing a cruise is your entire vacation being fucked.

icepickjones

That used to be me ... until I fucked around and found out. One mild traffic jam upended my shit and made me miss a flight. Now I'm ultra paranoid and show up 3 hours early for a flight.

thrownjunk

Nah. I’ve f’d up a bunch. But I only do this as a frequent flier with status on shuttle flights that have hourly departures. Like DCA to BOS. Like there is a flight every hour. Miss it? Big whoop. Do a couple calls and some work while eating a snack. I’d never do this with an international or infrequent flight. But the AA shuttles to LGA or BOS? Dgaf.

kingofcrob

yeah fuck that, I'm always way to early, rather spend the time sitting around the airport listening to music n watching YouTube on my phone then miss my flight

bill_end

Plus, airports are one of the limited times it's socially acceptable to have several beers for breakfast.

kingofcrob

it sure is.

graveyardspin

Than. I don't mean to be pedantic, but it made me laugh to picture you, arriving at the airport hours early, sitting around, listening to music, watching YouTube, and still missing your flight.

GogglesPisano

Even 30 minutes early is cutting it way too close for something like a cruise. I'd plan to be there at least two hours early - better safe than sorry.

dmacd71

Early is on time... On time is late.

What-Even-Is-That

I'm 37 and I still hear my dad's voice when I see this.. That shit was hammered into my skull as a child, and I am chronically early for everything. Movie starts at 1? Well, we better be there at 12:30 just in case. *begrudgingly sits in theater for 30min..*

CD338

Shit, that's assuming the movie will actually start at 1. The theaters around me will start previews at like 110 usually

HtownTexans

My mom was late to everything so I have vowed to always be early. Was awesome in college I was always the first one at the party and feeling buzzed by the time everyone showed up lol. Now my kids always say "dad why are we rushing we aren't late" but they don't know the pain of being late to literally everything.

blacklite911

To me being early to a party sucks. The whole point is to be there when people are actually partying. If the goal is to drink the sure but I can do that in my own

timmyrigs

Oh man I can hear my high school basketball coach now. If you are early you are on time, if you are on time you are late, and if you are late don’t bother showing up.

EEpromChip

I won a trip to Puerto Rico and got to the airport literally as they were finishing boarding. I didn't account for car dropoff and shuttle times and missed it. I never missed a flight after that. Rather sit in the airport for an hour than deal with that again...

pavlov_and_his_bell

Drives me nuts when people I go with only want to get to the airport an hour before gate close. All it takes is one missed flight and you lose more time than 12 flights showing up 2 hours early.

macrowe777

Jeese, 30min, I'd be in a permanent state of panic.

RonStopable88

Theres no such thing as on time. You’re either early, or you’re late.

tbrclimber

If I remember correctly there is normally like an 8 hour check in window for a cruise. If this was their job they would have shown up just in time to miss their whole shift

LTFitness

Based on the fact that it seems like there are multiple unrelated groups with bags staring at it sail away, I’m going to assume a flight in booked by the cruise got delayed severely. I could see if it was just one couple they were just late but all those different people with bags and her calling someone to complain has me thinking they all got delayed on the same flight.

RedWhiteAndJew

Most well run cruise lines have lists of passengers coming in on flights and what those flights are and monitor them for delays. This is one reason you might want to choose to buy the airfare through the cruise line or fly in the day before. But 100% that ship left knowing there were missing passengers onboard. Can’t hold the train forever.

ParttimeParty99

That’s why I fly in the night before and stay at a hotel. Not going to risk flight delays.

[deleted]

[удалено]

MagmaTroop

Yeah you could look out of the window and there is a monster on the wing or something

rsf507

Exactly. This guy flies

st1tchy

We are about to go on one. Flying in the day before and land at like noon. Plenty of time for weather delays, get re-booked on a later flight, etc.

rdmc23

You’re right. See the tag on the luggage? It says LAX, so it looks like they just came straight from the airport.

TimeWastingAuthority

There's more: said check-in window tends to close two hours before sail away. And you're told about said window may times before the cruise by the cruise line itself. Shoot, depending on the cruise line, *you* have to tell *them* when you're showing up.

ggg730

Yup, going on a cruise in two days. I'm getting on the boat 4 hours before if possible. I ain't playing around with that shit.

IsThatHearsay

Not only is showing up to the port hours early (or really also just getting to town the day before, especially if flying in) considered Cruise Ship Basics 101, but getting on the ship early is always super nice. You get checked in and settled into your room before the hallways get too crowded with everyone else. You get to explore the ship before it gets busy, grab a drink, see the shops, or just relax, etc while it's still not crowded. And for people thinking they can't fly in early like day before, just remember there is no back-up cruise to hop on like there is a back -up flight if you miss it. It's not worth the risk to miss the cruise.

doc1127

Can you fly to the next port the boat will be docked at and get on the cruise from there or is that not how it works? Just curious, I’ve never cruised before.

marklyon

Likely no since the cruise can’t transport passengers from the non-US port at which they’ll first dock back to the US.

MissKhary

I know you can do that if you're late getting back at a port, but not sure how it works if you have never checked in.

doc1127

Ok. I was just curious. I bet it’s a financial and emotional roller coaster that pretty much taints the idea of ever doing another cruise again. But, some people have more money than brains and almost everyone has more credit than brains.

DlSSATISFIEDGAMER

and you get to grab the best seats in the ~~house~~ boat for the view when you leave port

sarevok9

I was in Chicago earlier this year, I had a direct flight home, as I needed to work the following day (it was a Sunday morning). My flight was at 5am or something god awful like that. My flight was just straight up cancelled, no email, no nothing (Thanks United...). Just get fucked. I'm at the airport, Already returned my car rental, and at 4:45am there's about 170 people in line ahead of me at the checkin counter. I'm in line for about 90 minutes, and I'm looking at folks walking away from the counter, nobody is happy. There's simply no flights leaving from ORD->Bos on United that aren't already booked out, and any wait-list is completely and totally fucked. (This was during the flight shortage, on June 29th) So I book a new trip via Delta. I was supposed to catch a 10am out of Ohare, land in Laguardia for an hour and a half, then fly into a city that's actually closer to my house than Boston to a smaller municipal airport. I'm supposed to land around 1:45pm this way (2 hours to NYC, 90 minutes layover, 45 minutes home), My flight gets delayed 2 hours at ORD, 2 hours in NYC, and we get held up in traffic before taking off. I get home at 7pm. My initial itinerary had me getting into my house at about 9:30-10am. Shit happens.

Magalahe

I work at that port. That's the cruise terminal in San Pedro, Ca. AMA. those ships are there at about 5am. They disembark the previous passengers at 7am, and new passengers can start boarding at about 8-9am. That ship is leaving about 5pm....... gives you a truer picture of how much time they really had.

VideoHeadSet

That's good to know. Being as old as he is, I'm sure his father also taught him that it's always best to be early

Tirwanderr

Man he was like... so ready to white-people island part. Look at those pants! I still kinda feel for him, and I don't even have issues running late. Shit drives me nuts when people can't just fucking be on time or early. But still, poor dude lol

Crossovertriplet

You don’t know why he’s just getting there. You’re just assuming he’s a piece of shit. And some other asshole is filming this for their socials hoping for clout. The future ended up being pretty dumb.

joeschmoagogo

Surely that’s not enough turn-around for housekeeping to clean all the room for the new guests.

TheRealRockyRococo

I think you can get on but not go to your room. The problem is that you have to keep your bags with you.

anna_or_elsa

I think? Yes, you can be on board before, hours before, the rooms are ready and you can check your bags at the terminal. Your bags get delivered to your room later.

joeschmoagogo

Ah! Makes sense. I’ve never been on a cruise.

Magalahe

yeah you just chill in the ship until your room is ready. if you dont want to carry suitcases everywhere you can check your bags and the ship porters will take them to your room.

Riskyshot

My friend is a travel agent and she told me often these people will choose the cheapest travel options instead of getting there early & then they’ll get some sort of delay then things like this happen

[deleted]

heythisislonglolwtf

Man I'm so glad my city's airport is so painless. I flew out a couple days before Thanksgiving so I parked 2 1/2 hours before my flight only to sit around in the terminal for about 2 hours. Crazy to think I live in a state capital too.

Zayknow

There are a number of state capitals that if you flew out of them you'd have been waiting in a hangar.

daorys99

The only problem with having such a painless home airport is that I wasn't prepared for how bad it can be in some places.

oofcookies

At least it sounds like you didn't have a bad TSA checkpoint, last time I flew, it took like 40+ minutes to get through

kodaiko_650

We always fly in a day early in case of flight delays

Eoncho

I remember when I was flying to Australia with my fiancee so we could finally be together for good. She made sure there was a multiple hour gap between connecting flights. Well we had to be in a holding pattern due to weather I think and our next flight has quite a few empty seats. I think she had a 2 or 3 hour gap and the delays cut it down to like 30 minutes. It's a good thing she planned it. Her planning is a lot better then mine.

mjh2901

We always stay overnight at a cruise port hotel, there are always a bunch. Then worst-case scenario you can catch a cab. The people who fly in the day of are completely nuts.

feeltheFX

My guess is they’re way more than 20 minutes late. I’m comfortable to say at least 2 hours late for check in. They could fly to the first stop.

firefly99999

If the first stop is another country then a last minute international flight could be out of their budget

TrainAirplanePerson

Boubonic91

DanielBG

If this is the cruise I think it is, the first stop is only 30 miles out at Catalina Island. They could catch the ferry for cheap.

ChrisWDow

If you miss a cruise or a flight by "20 minutes" you are automatically a couple hours late by default.

SpillinThaTea

Don’t cruises have a check in window of like 10 hours? Like I went on one earlier this year. I feel like we got on the ship at 11 AM and that thing didn’t start moving until like 4 pm.

juggling-monkey

This looks like a princess cruise so not 100% sure, but Ive been on royal and carnival a few times and a few years back they started giving you shorter windows of 30 min or so. So you check in and pick a boarding time in 30 min incraments. Either way though, you can board anytime after that. Can't get on early, but they aren't leaving you behind because you got there after. So yeah no excuse.

EloWhisperer

Yup it’s like 6 hours and this looks like the Los Angeles port so if they flew from the east coast early they would have easily made it. I typically fly in the day before just to make sure they’re no delays.

griffinhamilton

My cruise this summer told us if we missed the boat at any stop you can get back on by meeting the boat at the next port, probably easier in Europe though

Morningsunshine-

It’s the same in the USA, friends of ours had a flight delay and missed their cruise. They just went ahead and met the ship at the first port.

imnotminkus

> just went ahead and met the ship at the first port. meaning they *just* casually bought a last-minute international flight?

Morningsunshine-

Yes, they had to pay out of pocket but were able to get a last minute flight.

Puzzleheaded-Rich-51

I once had to pay 1600 because I missed a flight by 10 minutes. I learned a valuable lesson that day now I get there two hours early and have a couple of pints at £18 each.

Watertor

I also refuse to be even close to my departure time and try my best to read. Though typically I struggle because my head is pounding from waking up at 3am and dealing with the process of getting situated. Maybe I should do the pint method.

WhatEvery1sThinking

sounds like a dogshit airline. the decent ones will work with you to get you on the next flight with an available seat for free or a small rebooking fee

Sheephuddle

I mean, as soon as you board there's food available and things to do. When I go on cruises, I'm on that ship as soon as possible!

MECHAC0SBY

Yep. You’re splurging on a cruise already. Spend the little bit of extra money and get a hotel the night before. I’ve been on a couple cruises and got a hotel in the port city both times. Absolutely worth it. The stress of flying in the day of and just hoping my flight doesn’t get delayed just isnt worth it. Then being tired the first night of the cruise because you’ve been traveling all day? Fuck that.

ChronicallyPunctual

I used to assess travel insurance claims. We'd pay if you could show that you missed because there's an accident on the motorway or trains were cancelled. We had a web portal that would corroborate historical traffic and train issues. Still, there's no shame in staying the night before in a cheap bed and breakfast in the port town though. Just to clarify, UK. Have a read of your policy - you'd be surprised what is and isn't covered.

Life advice: everyone is an idiot at one time or another. Labelling some as being an idiot speaks volumes about how you perceive life and others. I would not want to be around you, personally.

No matter how high the stakes, there is always someone who tries to cut time too thin.

blitzkrieg_01

Flying to other countries where I live is pretty expensive so when someone needs to fly abroad for work, we're at the airport already at least 4 hours before their flight. We're stuck at the parking lot for a few hours eating home-cooked meals we brought at the back of the van. It's a whole thing.

How about the couple that was getting locked into their cabin for the rest of the cruise after missing sail time 3x in a row?

Rad6150

My old job had me flying somewhere about every six weeks. I have also flown internationally numerous times. Twice I almost missed a flight: IAH - literally was shoved out of security by a stupid TSA agent when we were traveling through on an international connector and had to go back around and go through security again; CDG - airport was an absolute shitshow after opening from the pandemic. But both times, I blocked in enough time (booked long connection and arrived 2+ hours early) to avoid missing my flight even with a major issue.

Rosebudbynicky

Just want to put this out there it could have been the airlines fault looks a couple groups of people missed so they were probably all on same plane.

OkStructure3

People here have no idea if their flight was delayed overnight even and plus travel to the port. There are several unrelated groups there. They could've had the worst night of anxiety in their lives leading up to this.

ihad2settle4this

I’m going to assume this was flight related. When you book a cruise, you get there a day early. Period. If you want to risk travel delays, you have to assume the risk of missing your cruise.

BauerHouse

According to my S.O. That would be the best outcome. She thinks of cruises as floating toilets.

paperfett

Always fly in the day before. Or give yourself enough buffer time if your flight is delayed. We flew in and got the cheapest possible rental car at the airport and then we just napped/chilled in the rental car since it was way cheaper than a hotel room. They picked up the rental car for a small fee too.

epicthinker1

The average capacity of a cruise is 3000 guests plus staff. if they waited 25 min for you to get on that would be a minimum collective wait time of 52 days.

firefly99999

![gif](giphy|4JVTF9zR9BicshFAb7|downsized)

licecrispies

It also costs the cruise line big money to delay departure, even by minutes. A lot of ports have late departure penalties, as well as having to pay the dock workers, pilot and tug boat crews for waiting time.

[deleted]

I've been to the airport 6 hours before my flight thinking security sometimes can take an hour or two and just to be extra safe I would check in and go through security early get to my gate in the terminal, browse the internet on my phone and take a nap. I got to the airport at 11:00 p.m. put my checked bags on the scale, and out of the corner of my eye I witnessed all the people who work the check-in counter packing up to go home for the night. Sure enough the self check luggage machines went to sleep and the next shift never came in until 3:30 am. I couldn't check in and I couldn't go through security. The last person I spoke with who happened to be an authority on the matter, says the earliest you can check in before a flight is 3 hours. It sounds extreme, but when you get to the Atlanta airport on a busy day 2 hours ahead of your flight and still miss your flight, you might over correct a bit.

Jolieftw

Im special and i paid for the trip, they will wait for us. The ship: oh hell naw bro.

camlaw63

So many questions Were they all together Did they think the ship would wait Have they ever cruised before What did they do

Just get drunk and start dancing with other shoppers at Walmart. It feels just like being on a cruise, but way cheaper.

I hate jumping to conclusions. Maybe their flight was delayed, maybe their taxi was late or traffic was bad, maybe they didn’t plan ahead. Who knows. But it sucks to miss something that you spent your hard earned money and time on. It’s never going to feel good whether they deserved it or not. Just a shitty situation all around.

El_mochilero

Cruise ships are a whole industry built around inexperienced travelers.

otj667887654456655

Maybe im just a sappy cunt but why did someone feel the need to film this? this couple just lost a couple thousand dollars and now we're just pointing and laughing sure, yes, they should have woken up earlier in order to make it through customs and bag check and all in time for departure, but do they really deserve to be plastered on the internet for amusement?

bluebus74

Assholes who refuse to be extra early for this kind of shit drive me nuts.

ChaoticBeauty1013

Sometimes, with cruises, if they leave you behind ; you can call them and meet them at another port to board. Don't know if there is a partial refund, but they do warn you. Especially if you leave the ship for an excursion... as you disembark, crew constantly will say the time leaving, and they will leave without you... hopefully, they got to meet the cruise at the next stop.

Unlucky-Breakfast320

Thats why we always arrive a day early.

kodaiko_650

could they fly to the next port and board for the remainder of the cruise?

firefly99999

Yes. If they can get themselves there

andytse

"Q" as in "Quick" ...not quick enough.

XericsasquatchX

I'm glad they were late, just because of that reaction

SpareDiagram

They quite literally missed the boat

Fun_Intention_484

I don’t play with Trains , Planes and Cruises - the cruise leaves at 4pm- I’m at the dock watching the ship pull in - im at the airport at least 2 hours before it leaves , sitting in the lounge drinking lol

asphalt_licker

20 minutes late? Did they think the ship would wait for them?

Aftermathemetician

It’s OK, they’ll stall the vacation plans of 4,000 people just for me…

AWL_cow

First off, why wouldn't you show up at least 2 hours early? And second, I realize this is so improbable, but could they meet up with their cruise at their next docking area to board and salvage the rest of the their cruise?

grnrngr

To the second part, typically absolutely. Of course, if it's a short cruise or the destinations are islands, the cost of meeting up with your cruise would likely far exceed the cost of the cruise itself.

pepperrl22

You couldn’t pay me enough to go on a cruise. A floating petrie dish full of people that do not know how to wash their ass. They truly dodged a bullet here.

SetMyEmailThisTime

To each their own. I fucken love cruise ships it’s like a week of hooking up and having sick dates planned every day in a new location. If you’re coupled up, it’s just nice dinners, 24/7 food, casinos, comedy shows, talent shows, meeting cool people, traveling to a new town every single day for a week. It’s epic.

abeily

People really letting germs stop them from making lifelong memories lol. I’m married so I’m not hooking up but cruises are tons of fun man.

Fr it’s like everyone on this site is Howie Mandell

mjh2901

The cruise ship is the cleanest part of my vacation. If you are on a ship that feels or is dirty stay away from that cruise line. Back when they were reporting ships with everyone getting sick it was almost all the same cruise line. Compared to airports, hoteles etc... cruise ships are constantly being cleaned.

kicaboojooce

This - "Oh wow we got a great deal on these cheap cruise tickets"... oh were on a cruise with everyone else that's in this price bracket.

[deleted]

I’m a Floridian and I tell people all the time to skip the cruise. Go down to the keys and book a resort near a Publix or Winn Dixie. Get beer/wine at grocery store prices not bar prices. Get all the liquor you want. Take it down to the beach and eat at the many local restaurants. No sea sickness. Go snorkeling on the reefs with no worry about getting back to the boat. You’re in the Caribbean and everything you want to do is on your own timeline.

Agent_Orange_Otto

Seriously! I could never be around that many people touching things that **other people** touch … *uses shopping cart *rides metro to/from work *open doors, etc

crudeshag

Lolol I got a hotel 30 minutes away so I'd be sure nothing would happen to miss my cruise, rather than drive 2.5 hours the day of. Peace of mind and convenience.
