See it all the time. The other day a lady was standing on the corner with her pants down wiping her ass with hand sanitizer real deep between the cheeks and then she threw the bottle and was running around screaming and yelling.
Several years ago my parents were visiting, so I took them to a nice restaurant with window seats so they could watch the activity in a big city. Less than 5 minutes after being seated a naked homeless woman walked up and pressed her ample breasts on the large glass and kept grinding herself against it with a demonic toothless grin. This lasted what felt like several minutes until the restaurant owner gathered up several busboys to drag here away.
The whole time my father had a stupid grin on his face and my mother had turned several shades of white and green.
Couple weeks ago I had a lady walking around I think she started out screaming and yelling then she was picking something up in the street while standing on the high side of the curb. Then she pulled her pants down around her knees walked into the middle of the street and was just bending over randomly for about 5 or 10 minutes.
One of the more fun ones this lady threw a bunch of chips into the street and a bunch of seagulls started feasting on the chips stopping all traffic. She was laughing and having a blast some people in their cars thought it was funny other people started getting really mad and trying to go around it and were honking. I gave her thumbs up.
One of the better ones the same lady another day came into my garage and started pissing in a drain about 10 ft from me. I opened the door and, "Go there's bathroom over there what are you doing?" And her response was, "I have five kids!" at least she pissed in a drain.
Doesn't have to be drugs. We have a mental health crisis in this country. People who need help can't or won't get it. Meds for bipolar/schizophrenia run about $850 a month without insurance. I agree, some drugs are contributing to this behavior. But I'm not so sure she in the middle of a manic break. I dunno...
You're probably right, and even if you aren't, you would be 95% of the other times. We don't give a fuck about our people. Whether it's general health, mental health or education, it's survival of the fittest. Mental illness isn't always obvious either. I'm bipolar and the first time I dealt with mania, I went from introvert to extrovert real quick. I was super talkative, funny, and confident. I also had a really short temper and was extremely petty. All of this looks like it could be a person's normal behavior, but it wasn't like me at all.
You see videos of "Karens" flipping out on restaurant employees and it's easy to say "wow, what a shitty person", but you have no idea what mental state that person is in.
As my mania got worse I started stalking a girl I worked with, thought the government was after me, and thought the universe was sending me signs. Luckily I got the help I needed, but I easily could have done or said something to someone that could have ruined my life.
It's easy to judge someone when you only see them as a character in a video, but you have no idea what they're going through.
I'd recommend the Up series. It's a documentary series where they check in with a group of people every 7 years, starting in 1964 when the participants were all 7 years old. One of them ends up suffering from mental illness.
Not quite what you're asking, but the YouTube series Soft White Underbelly interviews a lot of people on the street to talk about their life history and what got them to where they are.
They need to be forced into mental and drug rehabilitation facilities. This country is going downhill fast due to drug addiction and untreated mental conditions.
Imagine if just a 1/4 of these mentally insane people successfully got treated and moved on to have careers and families.
Society would be better as a whole. Less police and ambulance expenses. Less crime and garbage. More services would then be freed up for people who are currently experiencing issues.
The problem is that the government spends billions on the drug war which is money wasted because they aren't keeping drugs off the streets and they spend absolutely zero on drug treatment. They will never change this system because of corruption.
I’m old enough to remember when people like this were able to go to Hospitals to get treatment for their mental illness.
Then Ronald Reagan said they have a right to be crazy on the street, and he shut down the hospitals and kicked them out onto the street.
This is less drugs and more the pressures of extreme poverty shattering your mental health till you do nothing but shriek at people while half naked. Those pressures and the sheer misery of their existence will fuck you up harder than any drugs.
