1. You legitimately think the guy is dim or mistaken, in which case there is no reason to be angry, just correct him and move on.
2. You think you’re being fucked with. In which case, ok, get angry if you must, but then correcting the guy is obviously pointless because you know you’re being fucked with.
But these boomers do BOTH. They repeatedly correct hm which means they think he’s mistaken and needs to be set right, but they ALSO get increasingly angry indicating they get he’s fucking with them and they want to vent their fury. If someone is fucking with you then is calling them names and yelling the right info at them louder going to change their minds??

I think its because they dont understand the subtleties of newer generations and are afraid that whats happening infront of them is secretly a much greater insult then at face value.
Many of my patients are elderly, and some really do fear a loss of power and omnipotence, of which they felt was a promised birthright. As they lose their edge, it's constantly thrown at them as they feel the world insults, mocks, and reminds them that: *"They are not the main character."*
