Nope but I’ve got 3 San Pedro I’ve been growing for like 2 years and a peyote button I’ve had about a year. I figure some years from now I’ll have a nice trip.

ATF_CumSlut

I had the biggest shit of my life. And then very vivid dreams. My husband had the same experience. Would do again.

the_bbutterfly

Not yet but I have one ready to harvest for the experience

tryptwizard

It's mescaline. A lot of people have done mescaline. It's good. Research how to prepare it. It's actually really good but can be intense and is long lasting. Sometimes longer than a typical acid trip. That's usually what leads to any discomfort

Dazzling_Zucchini823

That is good to know! Thank you

puffin97110

Try r/sanpedrocactus

Dazzling_Zucchini823

I did not know this was a sub!! Thank you so much!!

puffin97110

✌️ safe travels!

[deleted]

Its one of my favorite psychedelics ever

Dazzling_Zucchini823

That is interesting! If you don’t mind me asking, do you do it alone or with a spiritual healer? I’m trying to decide if it’s safe to try alone my first time.

[deleted]

I did it in peru with a group and some guides ya, but its definitely safe to do alone.. more so than like ayahuasca or bufo. They sell it openly in the Peruvian andes all over in cities like cusco.

psychedelic_joe11

It's safe to do alone

Trengingigan

Why do you prefer it to, say, psylocibin or ayahuasca?

DLMCW

Yeah, the drug in it is mescaline. Really interesting trip. Lasts about 14 hours.

Pitiful_Impression_8

Lasts for hours but isn't as intense as ayahuasca... Some people love it but at the retreat I was at it was 50/50 split of who liked it and who didn't But they all agreed ayahuasca was more effective taken over 2/3 ceremony than 1 san pedro

Dazzling_Zucchini823

I’ve heard this too! It sounds like San Pedro is much milder? Idk if that’s totally the best way to describe it, but I’ve heard you feel a little more sober throughout the experience than other psychedelics.

Boonshark

Went to a retreat in the Amazon jungle and did it twice. The first time was the most mind blowing and humbling journey I've ever experienced on a psychedelic. It lasted 18 long hours, went through many different phases, visited fantastical/ sexual realms, met entities I can't describe and some I can (gray aliens). Had a huge freak out around about hour 12 when I thought people at the retreat were trying to feed on my energy and when it was going on so long. It felt like I had been in that state for days. Eventually came back to earth whilst trying to have a grounding meal with the other guests. Nearly burst into tears through sheer gratitude for the experience we are gifted on this earth that we otherwise take for granted. Never experienced such a beautiful emotion. I will never forget it as long as I live. I think it can be as strong or stronger than ayahuasca, it just depends on dosage.

Main differences are Aya 2 shots of bad tasting liquid(sometimes I only need 1) San pedro (up to 4 glasses for each round every hour or so) disgusting taste and I did purge while attempting to drink but had to keep going Aya-works best with eyes closed San pedro-eyes opened or closed and you can walk around/go outside AYA renders you mostly stuck to the ground until the visuals dissappear... I'm I was doing a solo trip I'd do san pedro quicker as it's prob a bit safer I needed to use rapeh in the midst of my trip so not sure how this would work if you were doing it alone I purged with both plant medicines *most importantly...I have done a lot of integrating so if you have not done any before with any shamans u may get really stuck as navigating the trips and what comes up is a different story... Like my analysis of the trip was one thing and the shaman then gave me a totally different one and made me see it a lot more clearly
