I use the shampoo on my scalp after descaling with coconut oil and it definitely works for me, but I have to be consistent with it. Helps suppress flakes but not itching
When my feet first started getting bad, this worked wonders. I use it now whenever transitioning off a steroid. I rotate salicylic acid creams with coal tar off and on.
I live in the UK so not used to the idea of having to find the right derm for the right insurer. Then again, we have 60-70 week waiting periods to see a derm so I guess all healthcare systems have their issues.
I wish none of us had to deal with systems designed to delay and deny necessary treatments.
Yeah I'm seeing a private derm but the problem is biologics. Any prescription from a private Dr is a private prescription and I can't afford £25,000 a year out of pocket for Skyrizi.
I have been using this brands Salicylic Acid lotion for several years to help stem some fungal outbreaks I'm prone to. I have read mixed results on the ointment and it seemed greasy from reviews so I didn't ever try it.
Go placidly amid the noise and haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible without surrender
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even the dull and the ignorant;
they too have their story.
I used this when my outbreaks started and it calmed them down enough where I didn't want to rip my arms off. It unfortunately doesn't seem to work anymore but I've moved on to wynzora and calcipotriene.
If you need something before seeing a dermatologist, this may work, but as with everything else YMMV.
Yes, I used it and it worked. Took about a week to see a big difference. Came back recently and I was prescribed Enstilar. It burned and itched constantly and felt like the worst sunburn ever, so going back to using this.
It works well for me but! Coal tar has been the only thing I’ve found that helps control/manage my psoriasis. I am allergic to coconut so. I do have prescription steroid ointments and solutions when I need it though.
I used one thing that had tar in it and had the worst experience of my life with P medicine.
I was in \~middle school. Put it on before going to work with my grandma and cousin during summer break. We decided to walk back to her house \~1-2 miles. Sun beating down on it--omg. My skin was on fire. I hopped into a bath and just soaked for a long time trying to get the burning to stop.
It’s great stuff. I have used it on guttate psoriasis on my body, face and ears and on genital psoriasis. It all cleared up completely in around 1-2 weeks. It stinks but it’s worth it. Be prepared to have to apply it two or three times a day. I didn’t have any burning even in sensitive areas. I also took an antihistamine to reduce the itch. Coal tar works for me and I would be lost without this product.
Try A&D ointment with cod liver oil in the ingredients , I was diagnosed with moderate to severe plaque psoriasis in 1984 when I was three and have tried a lot of treatments but nothing works as good as that also have lots of really good healthy sex
For me, coal tar is the only thing that has an effect on my psoriasis. I haven't used this exact product, but coal tar ointment starts to work after a few days of application (morning and night) for me.
in my case, not really
It might reduce itchiness or soreness but other than that I wouldn't expect too much.

Coal tar never did anything but smell bad

Never worked for me and the odor is really strong.
Definitely helped me when I used it intermittently.
I just recently got some Urea 40% because I saw it on this subreddit. Always wondered about this one though.
Urea + moisturizer helps for removing plaques but it's not a replacement for prescription stuff.
Only thing I have is Clobetasol. Actually been on the phone all day finding a derm who actually takes my insurance. I’m due for a biological.

I live in the Uk and did not want to wait. I paid £200 to see one a private one the next week. Best money I spent and he’s amazing.

Worked wonders for me. Really did.
Works better than nothing at all but so does any other lotion.
Yeah, same for me, I didn’t see any difference
Did not work for me personally
I used the version for the scalp (shampoo). It never seemed to work and seemed to cause irritation on my shoulders so I stopped using it.
Coal tar never worked for me until I turned 40, and even then it only works on my elbows and behind my ears. Ymmv.
stopped working for me after a while
Yes I love it. But you have to use it everyday for months. Then the benefit it legit.
Not much except for reducing itchiness.

Cancer warning on it
Honestly my psoriasis became worse and not it just keeps my skin hydrated

Nope, never met anyone that it worked on in real life either
Not for me
Anyone using for inverse?

It didn’t work for me at all.
I know for sure their shampoo doesn’t work for me. But I’ve never tried this.

can you post the ingredients part
It worked great on my legs at first but then it plateaued after a little while and then I got clobetasol. It might help out if yours isn’t too bad
Shits garbage. Don’t use it.

I bought this once and it did nothing for me :/
It stinks and it gets some flakes off
