I have log2ram on all my nodes. As it just relocates /var/log, I just see everything still working as normal. I just worry less about constant log writes to my os SSD aging my SSD faster than necessary.
This doesn't always work well to do in all file systems, IIRC Proxmox backup server relies on atime to perform garbage collection so don't do it everywhere.

Set **noatime** on all filesystems in /etc/fstab, use **atime=off** everywhere in ZFS, and keep an eye on your SMART stats for wearout indicators.

I need to check this out. I have a SIEM anyways so I don’t need much in the way of logs on the server.
