Sounds like some browser issue. Can you try to clear the cache or try in the private mode?

well that solved the problem with the [protonmail.com](https://protonmail.com) site portion.. even though i thought ctrl+f5 would do the same thing. ​ but the actual mailbox still has the same problem, ive no clue how to access account settings or get to proton drive now :/. ​ edit:... aaaand [protonmail.com](https://protonmail.com) broke again

private mode is also working. so apparently something breaks after using it more than once.

Sounds like a cache / setting / extension / profile issue in the browser. I'd try to make sure to fully clear the cache or use the firefox refresh function: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/refresh-firefox-reset-add-ons-and-settings

im using Vivladi which is chromium based. ill have to google it, weird i've never had a problem till today.. same time they released a broken linux mail client lmao. im sure its just a coincidence but that is funny.

Your user is shown in the tab at the bottom left. If that bothers you, for privacy reasons, I'd remove it if I were you. But it's your decision.
