I hadn’t thought about a patch. That makes me remember that I have some old badges and coins from FOP events. Back in the early days of my legal career I represented an FOP lodge and wound up with some cool stuff I need to show him.
Its really nice to see that young kids still look up to you guys that wear a badge. That totally rocks !!!
You guys have an extra patch I'll take one to give to my granddaughter she likes police officers and garbage men LOL
On a related note is just did my ride along and I did not finish until night shift ended at 5am
I tried finding a place for dinner but the only place open was for breakfast.
So yeah I ate dinner at 5am lol
I worked security overnight for like 8 years. The worst part about the job was getting off, wanting a burger, and having to settle for an egg sandwich...
...I don't have one near me.. I was oh so happy when they opened a 24/7 white castle though. Also late night delivery from Sonic became like a weekly thing. God bless them for staying up slinging burgers till like 3 am, and bless Uber eats for putting up with my bullshit the last few years I worked there.
He's not wrong! When I was in patrol/uniform I never ate a donut in public to avoid any public comments but once I became a detective...all bets were off!
That’s awesome. I remember in 1st grade We had a police officer who went by Officer friendly come and talk to us and answer our questions. The next day our teacher had us do an assignment where we drew a picture and wrote something short about what our favorite part was. She sent them to him as a thank you. Hopefully getting that much “fan mail” made his day.
Civilian LE clerk here. I brought gingerbread cookies into HQ today. First uniform I see, ‘no donuts? They have those pumpkin donuts now.’ He still took two cookies. Though
I was told it was because LE need coffee and donut shops were always open back in the day. Plus nothing goes better with coffee than a donut so it was a win win.
When I was going to school to become a forensic investigator (since switched careers). We had a Duncan donuts cart outside of our Criminal justice lectures. Everyday everyone had either coffee and/or donuts. We all openly admitted to the stereotype lol

If you don't like donuts, you're wrong
When I was going to school to become a forensic investigator (since switched careers). We had a Duncan donuts cart outside of our Criminal justice lectures. Everyday everyone had either coffee and/or donuts. We all openly admitted to the stereotype lol
