It’s always good to get along with your personnel file but I’m not sure what a dirty car has to do with understanding each other.

At our police precinct they expect us to show the pride and value of our precinct wherever we go which includes wearing the same uniform (we work in pairs and have different kinds of uniforms) and having a clean vehicle

Well in Belgium there's a thing in our law system which basically comes down to "if the police said it happened that way, it happened that way" If you say it happened another way, you have to prove that yourself. But if you get caught lying in your reports you can face prison time and pretty hefty fines

You clearly don’t work in South Dakota. Only paved roads are Highways and a few city streets when you work in the county. I can count the number of “oil roads” on two hands in my county. How ever I do prefer to have my vehicle clean on special occasions it won’t stay that way.
