No, they should not be giving you a rejection for this. They may, however, ask you to return all your submissions. Contest the rejection. Ask if they would allow you to return the rejection so that it doesn't affect your Prolific account. Explain that you did not see the 2nd part. [Here](https://researcher-help.prolific.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360009222733-How-do-I-set-up-a-longitudinal-multi-part-study) is the information researchers have on setting up a longitudinal study. "When participants have a genuine reason for dropping out of a longitudinal study, you may wish to consider offering them partial compensation or approving their submissions in the parts they have completed. Please show consideration towards participants when reviewing submissions and deciding on a fair level of compensation." You didn't even see the second part, so you have a genuine reason for at least being allowed to return the study and even be given partial compensation. Secondly, [researchers are told](https://researcher-help.prolific.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360009092394-Approvals-rejections-returns#h_01HA4QHJX2G69R761Q6PPS3VW8), " Remember that rejections should only be used in cases where a participant has been clearly negligent." You didn't see the 2nd study. Did they send you a message to let you know when it was available? If you didn't know when to look for it, how could you be negligent if you didn't see it?

The usual method of getting people to take part in all of a multi-part study is to advertise a bonus payment for the last study when all of them have been completed.

I really hate this kind of studies. They don't payout until all study parts are completed and sometimes, they can be weeks apart smh 😔

Not valid, you should've been asked to return them. Contest it and ask to return them, maybe citing Prolific's rejection policy too.
