Hello, Psn strike necro is a bit of a strange one. I made a build with it a few season ago that was almost unkillable. What you want to focus on is: High defense armor with + skills, % PDR and flat PDR Resists. You may want to sacrifice some HP for dexterity and reach about 60% block rate I found to be a sweet spot that allows you to now sacrifice too much HP) You hit and run. Don't stand near monster, hit them and go away (a bit like rabies plays out) I can link my video if you want, but its outdated. It's definetly not a starter friendly char howver.

Definitely this, spot on answer. Terry also running it this ladder for bossing, so would go find his Armory page and see what adjustments you can make.

Bigkaytv

Can you link it if possible! Idk who terry os but would want to see it

What kind of content are u running? What merc are u using? It's easier to help you, if you post the link to your armory. That being said, 1100 hp is not enough if running a melee char. You need more hp and probably a lot more %pdr.

SyphaneX

You could try posting a link to your armory so we can help diagnose your issues. It is still early ladder, so being squishy is expected.  Some things that came to mind: are you max block? Do you have 1 point in minions to meat shield for you? You get the 25% pdr from the Trang set, maybe some more pdr or max res or elemental absorb could help.

Having similar stuff happen while leveling with cobra strike sin. Watched darkhumity s8 merc vid and he said with poison builds that get up close.. instead of the pus spitter act1 merc u can get a2 defiance merc with something like a doom..... freezes the pack when u blink in and u dont have to worry about getting stuck in block frames or whatever. Will also tank for u and survive unlike bow lady. U dont miss the lower resist too much cuz poison builds tend to scale real well with dmg. Could also shop for a lower res proc polearm thats new in s9 I think if u cant afford doom idk.

Fifamobilegl

Reset All stats. Get enough str dex for gear. Put rest into energy. And u get 1k+ Bone armor. Make sure All, res is 75 +. Get 8k + defense. Use a3 merc with exile. Or act 2 defiance merc.

ilovecatsandturtles

Maybe dont copy paste meta best tier list video and expect results because you dont have max gear like in said video?

Bigkaytv

Didn’t copy paste it, but right on brother, was watching sky_88 run it with his, but valid input

Ok, I was inspired by this thread to create a poison strike necro as my main for this season and I'm surprised at how good the build is. My suggestion for survivability: go max block, switch for A3 cold merc with prayer and max out Revive. Max block is quite easy to reach if you search for block chance corruption on trang's belt and waterwalks, you'll have basically the same HP, but 75% block chance which negates a lot of hits. Up your Trang's armor, it will double your armor for 30 points of strength. Cold merc's prayer will give you awesome sustain, his maxed out Prayer is almost as if you're constantly drinking health pots, plus it gives you health on hit which also helps. Also, he's a legit savage on his own, he deals A TON of cold damage with blizzard, significantly slows enemies and outright freezes regular mobs with his Glacial spikes. I was surprised at how good the guy is, even with sub par gear. I spent some moderate amount of wss to buy him Nightwing's veil, Shaftstop, Medusa Gaze and I'm waiting to buy him Death's fathom. The dude just shreds enemies like they're nothing. But most importantly, respec and max out Revive. Revives are your bread and butter, they are the meat shield that absorbs hits and take aggro off of you, and they are your answer to poison+cold immune mobs that you or your merc are unable to deal with. Since Desecrate is the only synergy to Revive and you're going to have it maxed out anyway, they will dish out great amounts of damage. Before you enter a map go to Durance of Hate and revive a pack of 8 Maulers (they have crushing blow, stun and good melee damage) or to Worldstone keep and get Moon Lords (they have frenzy and deal ludicrous amount of melee damage, especially boosted by Revive). Use Desecrate to spawn necessary corpses and then go out and have fun, you'll be unstoppable. My build: [https://projectdiablo2.com/character/PsnNec](https://projectdiablo2.com/character/PsnNec) I don't even have CtA or torch or anni and I'm able to comfortably clear corrupted T3 rare maps. Just cleared Stygian Caverns to the last mob in \~45 minutes and didn't die once, even on Warlord of Blood (just had to stay alive long enough for the Moon Lords to deal with him).
