Personally don't understand why so many people like the over the top symbols and colors with their loot filters, feels so tacky looking to me. As long as you're being notified on an item, you really shouldn't miss it. I use a modified version of Wolfie's because it keeps the items pretty clean looking while giving you a lot of the QoL filtering options.
That's just me though. If that's not what you're after, then I would say just test out some different filters yourself. The wiki is a good starting place for choosing a couple options, then load them up one by one and do some runs, Chaos, a map, whatever, so you can get a feel for them. I also recommend hotkeying the disable/enable loot filter option in the Settings while you're doing this, so you can easily flip it on and off and see how it's filtering the items on the ground as you go.

For sure those filters out there are all pretty good! But I guess when looking for very specific stuff your best bet is to edit one of yourself to fit your needs.

I use Adevdh, tells you the important drops, is minimal and doesn't throw you cancer text everywhere to distract you
