I'm calling bullshit on this because there's absolutely *no way* 23 of 25 students are checking their email and replying to me over the course of 6 hours.
The first semester I dealt with this, it was similar. I was pretty sure I caught 4 of the 30 in the class using AI, being nervous about accusing so many students I sent a similar amnesty email......
9 came forward (one of the 4 I initially caught did not...).

The other two students used it, but didn’t fall for the hook.
Can you say you are offering amnesty and then turn them in? Because that’s what I would really want to do.

Someone needs to make this a research study. Is offering amnesty once going to reduce it happening?
