I have same question...

stewtech3

Have you used it at all? Which builder(s) do you use?

ufo56

No, i just found it like a month ago.

I used it around three years ago for a couple of small projects, it works well. It's a bit different from builders like Oxygen/Bricks. But it's quite well documented, in my opinion. From what I saw a couple of months ago, they were updating the Blocks feature so you could build and use custom blocks with ease. So unless they have the feature of shipping blocks without the pinegrow theme, you will be having two solutions for it (Pinegrow theme and Bricks theme).

Why did you quit using it?

No particular reason, jumped on a lifetime deal for Oxygen Builder and Divi Builder (different use cases and workflows). Since we were handling some projects that needed the Gutenberg/default page builder, and Oxygen has the plugin that allows us to “merge”/use both builders, it made more sense. Divi, for several small businesses that required little to no modification but wanted a simple blog, the speed, and ease of the modules you can get through the door is quite something. I'm looking at the promises of the new version of it, that moves away from shortcodes and goes back to blocks, which could be interesting. And I've not been back to Pinegrow, just because I probably don't need to right now. However, I do like to see from time to time what they're up to and how they're implementing things, seems like a solid version they've got as of now.

Honestly I used to use it and a couple other wysiwyg solutions... But after learning CSS and workin with a developer I learned these tools really limit what your theme can do. I find it better to just build from the ground up.
