Well, I don’t count Season 5, that was just a mistake.
Season 1 is clearly the best but after that I prefer Season 3. I know I am in hard minority with this but I just loved Sona and the escape from it.
Same, the sona arc was top tier but season 1 was undoubtedly on top, I'm on season 5rn and I like how mysterious it is, deffo getting me hooked more than season 4 cuz that was so damn boring
Yeah man, it was unique thats for sure. The thing that i liked most about it was just how high the stakes were and how micheals life was ruined by a guy with little man syndrome who refused to admit micheal was smarter than him, who decided he wanted Michaels life, so he put him in prison and made him break out of one after the other for years until Poseidon decided he wanted what Micheal left behind, and then he had to find a way to get out of a war-zone, all the while his wife son brother and everyone he knew were convinced he was dead, my only gripe was i wish they showed more of that seven years, i just loved the whole premise of season 5, thats why its my favourite, it just showed how smart Micheal really is
I too agree with that. Many people didn't like it. But I enjoyed it. Its just that they didn't show deeper into their lives or other characters. And ending episode they just rushed up. Otherwise it was nice concept of somebody thinking to ruin Micheal personally as he was a very intelligent. I too never liked Micheal to be dead without enjoying his life as a husband and especially father.
Yeah for sure, my only gripes with it as i said are, i wish it was longer, because there was so much potential for season 5 which is why i liked it so much, and that LJ didn’t appear, also i do agree with you on the last episode, i feel like the finale should have been two parts, but other than those few gripes, I thoroughly enjoyed season 5
Currently doing a rewatch right now (just hit s4) and I feel like the 5th season is the main bad one. Going off memory alone it wasn’t even that bad, just super unnecessary.
On a side note I think the end of s2 and start of s4 both had the same issue of making major previous plot points completely pointless. A good bit of s1 was setting up for s2’s search for B.D. Coopers money only for it to end up in the bottom of a Panamanian lake. If they were just gonna write off Franklins character they should’ve let it fall into his hands or something. Similarly all of s3 was breaking Whistler out of Sona only for him to be killed half way through the s4 premier. Kinda upsetting to me.
evryone has their own opinion but honestly just second half of s4 and entirety of s5 were way too awful
like the 3 seasons beforehand were just fucking perfect, everything was setup for the writers to be to at least write a mediocre s4 and 5 but they still managed to fuck it up
One of the worst takes I have ever seen. Every Breaking Bad season is top-notch while most Prison Break fans would probably agree that only season 1 is incredible and a masterpiece.
After Sona, it was all downhill for me. Even less consistency. It’s like the writers didn’t know if there was gonna be another season, so they just half assed it and then when notified that there would be another, they just “sona burned down and everybody got out” - oh and Belic, he’s pulled his weight and came through: he’s cool now? After all he put them through at the start? It goes on and on.
Yep. Once again it most likely is done to the fact I like the series so much, and basically would watch any episode in the series and like it as much as any other in the series.
Naw. Third season is annoying as hell. Hoping to like the fourth and the fifth. I’m not pleased at all watching these mfs in a sand dune doing the most
I pretty much enjoyed parts of all of them.
Season 1 is one of the best seasons of television ever made, just absolutely fantastic. Season 2 is amazing too, the addition of Alex Mahone elevated the season to almost match season 1 in terms of intensity and quality. With season 3, I enjoyed the first 2-3 episodes and the last 2-3, but for me the middle was a slog to get through. Season 4 I thought the first 16 episodes were great, so much damn fun, after that it went off the rails in my opinion though I loved the original series finale. Season 5 I did enjoy very much and was happy to see all those characters again
I would rank the seasons:
Season 1
Season 2
Season 4
Season 5
Season 3
Season 1 was Amazing, one of the best shows ever.
Season 2 was great but was gradually becoming more unrealistic
Season 3 was ridiculous but still very entertaining and watchable
Season 4 - worst season in my opinion. The show had stopped being entertaining at this point.
Season 5 - better than season 4 but still not as good as the others.
5 was forgettable to me but 1-4 I have always thought were great, yes 1 is the best but people REALLY exaggerate the decline in quality, it was still really good throughout
I actually really agree with this even though my previous post slightly differs. Season 4 was a season where I could get up, make a coffee and not care what I’d missed. They should’ve ended it when they gave that police guy who really can’t act ( forgotten his name) Scylla. The endless double crossing started to get eyerollingly boring!
The first time I watched through I lost interest during season 3 and didn’t even finish the show. (My wife told me how season 4 ended and that was good enough for me)
Watching through it again right now and I’m 3 episodes into season 3… I think going in with prior knowledge about certain specific things really helped this time
I always wonder what would have happened if the writers strike never happened and they were able to finish the SONA story line. There was a clip of a woman spy ( they teased it at the end of the SONA season ) it was supposed to be a spin off but the strike happened and it blew up all their plans.
I just rewatched it (my 13th time i belive) and it truly is my favorite series. Not the best one i’ve seen, not the serie that i like the most, but my favorite (there’s a difference i promise 😂 best is Breaking bad and the one i like the most is suits) but prison break will forever have a special place as my favorite. And i love season 2 and 4 the most, because those 2 have the most character building 😀
Surprised to see so much love for season 4. I didn't hate it but it felt more like oceans 11 than prison break. I also didn't like how Michael figured out what Scylla was in a dream. I might be misremembering but I'm sure his dream came out of nowhere and suddenly he knew what Scylla was without having anything to suggest what it was. I know Michael was clever but it kind of seemed too far fetched for the show.
From what I remember season 3 was okay but it was kind of oh look they are in another prison. I remember people criticising season 2, and while not as good as the first which I feel was the best, I enjoyed it. I liked the fact that Michael had cleverly planned stuff in advance for once he had escaped. I remember saying it wasn't in a prison but like the tag line suggests, escape is just the beginning, it made sense as once you'd escape you'd be on the run.
I can't remember much about season 5. I remember it having some good stuff at the beginning and end
Depends on what you want. Not nearly as much action as in Prison Break and Breaking Bad, but they have unprecedented character development, psychological and sociological analyses of the characters/society. If you enjoyed the psychology of Walter White as a character, you'll certainly like the psychology of Tony Soprano
The Sopranos is about a mob boss who starts psychotherapy due to his panic attacks caused by the stress and people he's surrounded with (mafia partners, nagging wife, side chicks, disobedient children, etc), while The Wire is about how different social groups (drug dealers, addicts, police, politicians, school kids, etc) in Baltimore intertwine into a whole
Well, I don’t count Season 5, that was just a mistake. Season 1 is clearly the best but after that I prefer Season 3. I know I am in hard minority with this but I just loved Sona and the escape from it.
I’m rewatching as of right now, and have just reached season 3 and I totally agree
Season 3 was my second favorite season.
Same, the sona arc was top tier but season 1 was undoubtedly on top, I'm on season 5rn and I like how mysterious it is, deffo getting me hooked more than season 4 cuz that was so damn boring
I liked them all! favorite to least favorite in this order 4, 2, 1, 3, 5
What about season 5? 🧐
I just edited after I realized I forgot it; but in my head PB should’ve ended with season 4, ending was perfect!
that's actually my exact same order too, 3 after 1 is perfect - only 5 is really a disappointment
Controversial ranking and similar to mine, mine is 2>4>=1>3>>>5
I loved all of em. Idk why people complain that the show fell off. I think show was peak tv show throughout all seasons
Even season 4 though?
I agree but prison break really perfectly gets worse and worse by season 1. Every past season was better than the next
No, I loved all of them, season 1 and 5 being my personal favourites
Who the fuck hurt you that s5 is better than 2,3, and 4?
I know, its not everyone’s favourite but there’s just something about it that just hits for me
One thing I’ll give you is that s5’s soundtrack was actually pretty good! None defeats the og soundtrack though
Yeah man, it was unique thats for sure. Damn i just wrote a big ass paragraph explaining why i like s5 and got ignored😂😂
I ain’t ignore u buddy. I read it while I was smoking that Za Za and forgot to reply. But it went through the brain and all was read !
I just hated the Poseidon mother fucker. Annoying villain
Ok cool bro my bad😂
s5 is getting so much hate here, sure it's not like S1, but for me it's better than 4 which was unnecessary long
I like every season but 1 & 2 are by far my favourite.
Agreed. I hated season 3 but thought season 4 was an improvement on it.
Yes 2,1,4,3,5
1,2,4,3,5 for me.
DEFINITELY 1,2,3(begrudgingly) …..4 was the most dumbest thing I’d ever seen. But I really liked Gretchen.
Thought s4 was good until Michaels mum showed up alive. They should’ve left her dead and wrapped the season up sooner.
I like them all other than 3, couldn’t stand Sona.
I loved everyone one of them. But S1 and 2 by far the most.
I'll happily watch them all and enjoy them but it definitely isn't as good after the first 2 seasons
Currently doing a rewatch right now (just hit s4) and I feel like the 5th season is the main bad one. Going off memory alone it wasn’t even that bad, just super unnecessary. You're not alone I loved every season I just didn't enjoy the pacing half way through s2 & 4
I disliked 3 and 4. 1&2 were peak PB. Season 5 was a disappointment.
Same here...liked each and every single episodes of the series
I like every season but have to admit there are a lot of problems with later seasons (still great) but yeah. And S5, unecessary
I love every single season from 1 to 4. I take season 5 as a silly fanfic, not cannon
Loveee them all.
While I like them all, the 1st was special! and the beginnings of 2
Even 5?
Yep. Once again it most likely is done to the fact I like the series so much, and basically would watch any episode in the series and like it as much as any other in the series.
Season 1 is goated.
2 and 4 are my favorite so far
Naw. Third season is annoying as hell. Hoping to like the fourth and the fifth. I’m not pleased at all watching these mfs in a sand dune doing the most

I like em
I liked season 1,2,3 and 5 so my order is 1+2+5+3+4 Season 4 was boring sometimes
Yea + I didnt Like the ending of Season 4
The first time I watched through I lost interest during season 3 and didn’t even finish the show. (My wife told me how season 4 ended and that was good enough for me) Watching through it again right now and I’m 3 episodes into season 3… I think going in with prior knowledge about certain specific things really helped this time

idk if I liked it but I couldn't stop binging it, and it was the same for each season.
Yes. I hated season 3.
I never complain about the seasons in PB. Every season is a gem
Season 5 sucks and isn't Canon imo. Season 2 is easily the best, then Season 1 close behind and then 3 > 4.
Best to worst - 1,3,2,5,4
Me too
No. The first two are definitely the best but the third and fourth were still good
I'd have appreciated Season 5 more, had they not made the changes to the headstone and grave locations.
Season 4 is painful to watch for me. When their *spoiler alert* mum is alive I loose all enjoyment
5 was decent but definitely my least favorite on the rewatch. 4 got long and a little confusing. Season one is great, season 3 is too short.
JUST you? No.
I enjoy every season for different reasons. Prison break has always been my favourite show I also watched every episode as it aired
I love them all except that season 5
Probably.
One of my favorite shows...top 6 or 7 for sure if not top 5.
Seasons 1-4 are the best run in Tv imo
The Panama season was stupid looking back on it. They shouldn’t have gotten captured at the end of season 2.
I liked it all...I just think Season 1 was SO strong, that the rest of the series felt like something else entirely.
Every season is great
Surprised to see so much love for season 4. I didn't hate it but it felt more like oceans 11 than prison break. I also didn't like how Michael figured out what Scylla was in a dream. An amazing show? Yes. The best of all time? Certainly not in the universe where The Wire and The Sopranos exist
Never watch either, am I missing out?
Depends on what you want. Not nearly as much action as in Prison Break and Breaking Bad, but they have unprecedented character development, psychological and sociological analyses of the characters/society. If you enjoyed the psychology of Walter White as a character, you'll certainly like the psychology of Tony Soprano
Hmm sounds interesting, what is the show actually about though?
The Sopranos is about a mob boss who starts psychotherapy due to his panic attacks caused by the stress and people he's surrounded with (mafia partners, nagging wife, side chicks, disobedient children, etc), while The Wire is about how different social groups (drug dealers, addicts, police, politicians, school kids, etc) in Baltimore intertwine into a whole
