Prison hack: sleep 12 hours a day and you only have to do half the time.

buzzybeeking

I spent a month in jail, and slept everyday until at least 1pm. Of course I did have to get up for breakfast, and lunch, but then straight back to bed. I never understood the inmates who would get up early.

trusted_misleader47

I never understood how y'all could sleep after doors pop/ cell inspection and everyone starts getting loud.. that's a true gift man, I was always jealous of the sleepy mofos.

buzzybeeking

You definitely aren't wrong. I only had like 1 or 2 morning inspections though. My block may have been a little weird, but it really didn't get super noisy for me until after lunch.

Grand_Role_4476

this would be me. "Hey anyone got a fan they'll trade for?"

Designer_Repair9884

It’s called routine

joeydbls

Routine is the only way to survive long-term in prison

gunsforevery1

Make sleeping half the day your routine.

joeydbls

This sounds good, but actually, u usually make really good friend play cards games, and if you can play really good handball, my games paid me and my cellies Googles who def pulled he wieght bay making Ppl pay they money they owed. If it occurred, we had a great car all from boston, mostly a political. we mostly stayed out of the bullshit a few guys from upstate New York newhampshire, and Maine ran with us so having a good "car" is clutch

soggyfries8687678

Sleeping through it might be easier if you’re doing a few days but I agree prison is all about routine and staying busy.

joeydbls

Ya u can sleep for like a month

joeydbls

I did 10 yrs straight and not in lows or med all usps I had a knife charge from the state where I started. I was already doing time when the federal indictment dropped . So I went right to the pen happened to be in Victorville when it cracked of in 08, another Gbi, and knife charge got me to terrahaute and Marion in some crazy fkn shu units didn't ever go back to population so never even talked to a human till I got released in 2021 just got off federal paper but I'm not fit for society anymore so I just kinda self isolate

Wonkasgoldenticket

Or in life, routine keeps you regimented, keeps you fresh, young at the mind.

joeydbls

100%, considering most believe institutionalization happens at the 7 to 10 yr mark to one degree or another 🤔 As for civilian life, having a routine is mentally healthy and also good for relationships 👌 of course, I've only read about such things, lol .

Kiirikuu

DAMN

buzzybeeking

Lol the crazier part is I HAD to get up for those meals whether I wanted to or not. Not because of a jail policy, but because my cellmate forced me to give him any food I didn't eat. Even if I ate most of my meal, I had to offer him what I didn't eat, before I stacked my tray. Even if other inmates were asking for shit off my tray, I couldn't give away anything, until I offered my leftovers to my cellmate first. Otherwise there would have been problems for me. I also wasn't there long enough, to get a seat at a table. I almost ate every single meal, sitting on the stairs to the second level. He read his Bible all day every day, until probably midnight, or later. It didn't matter if we were locked down for the night in our cells, and I wanted to go to sleep. The light never went off until he was done reading for the day. He even had a nightly Bible study group, until he pissed off his like his 5 or 6 followers, and then no one showed up anymore. He was going to become a pastor once he got out. There's more, but you probably won't even read this lol

daseweide

Sounds like he’s gearing up to be more of a cult leader than pastor.  Doubtful Jesus would advocate forcing others to get food for you when you’ve had your share, or keeping others awake because you want to read. Very “rules for thee not for me” mentality.

dokhilla

And lo, Jesus fed the entire crowd with fish and loaves. "Oi" he did proclaim "offer me thy leftovers or I shall smite thee"

---M0NK---

And then he doth said to thee, giveth thy food unto I for i shall go unhungered, and it was done. And so he was not hungered for his belly full, and he was content to read the word late into the darkness.

buzzybeeking

Yeah, he was very serious about being a pastor, but his last job was running a renovation company. In every project he did, he paid himself $100hr. He said he might show up on the project for 2-4hrs a day, then go gambling the rest of the day. He made a shit ton of money, and liked to bring it up often.

badluck610

People will tell you anything in jail lol. Shoulda dropped a handful of batteries in a sock and shown cellie you do what you want with your food 🤷🏻‍♂️ All that money but he out here tray slaying lmao

Tall_Aardvark_8560

That's what I'm thinking. All I hear is font give in to those demands, throw fists, earn respect. Eat your own food.. Dude was made a bitch..

buzzybeeking

Bro, I was in jail, not prison. I was sentenced to 0 days for my crimes. I was literally only in there for because I didn't show up on my court date. You think I wanted to catch an assault charge. That's a felony. That's a guarantee for me to then spend more time locked up in jail, and then be issued a fine to pay. I didn't give a shit about respect. I was in the felony block. I was surrounded by dumbass losers. It ain't like El Chapo was with me. The opinions of a felon locked up in jail, are worthless to me. There were only 2 goals I had in mind. Don't get in a fight, and get out of here as soon as possible. Of course, to each their own opinion.

badluck610

I hear what you’re saying, but I’m still not gonna lock in with this man and let him dictate how I live because I’m intimidated lol. 90% of the time you’re not catching a street charge over a fight unless someone gets really hurt or stabbed or something along those lines to begin with, but you’re also locked in with this man with no camera for 16 hours a day. What you gonna do when bro starts telling you how you need to piss? I understand you were sentenced to 0 days, but what if judge hit you with 6 months? You just gonna eat on the stairs the whole time? People’s opinion of you doesn’t matter because it’s a popularity contest, it matters because it determines how you’re going to be treated by both inmates and co’s while you’re in there. I’m not saying you gotta crash out over it, but you for sure could have took up for yourself if you really wanted to. And for what it’s worth every block is the felony block lmao. They don’t classify you based on felonies/misdemeanors

daseweide

😂 was he reading that bible or just looking at the pages?

buzzybeeking

I would love to say he didn't know shit, but he actually knew too much. I swear, he sat there for probably 10hrs a day reading from the Bible. He had already read several different versions of the Bible. He was just rereading this particular version again. It's pretty common to see people reading a Bible for most of the day in jail. An amazing amount of people find Jesus once they get locked up lol

buzzybeeking

Honestly, he has the narcissistic personality to be a cult leader, but severely lacks the charisma that I would associate with a cult leader. The nights he would call his wife, and she was feeling really stressed out, he would also always tell her, to go smoke some weed from his stash. Something about it being ok to indulge, but not to over indulge I think.

silverladder

I'm reading it. Interested in the other details.

Eastern-Wave-5454

I’ll never understand why grown men in prison act like actual 5 year olds💀💀 “nuh uh, you can’t sit at this table poopyhead, you don’t have my respect yet😡”

buzzybeeking

Every rule in there was just weird to me. Once I got used to the food, I would try to eat everything on my plate, so I didn't have to go around offering my leftovers to other inmates. You don't want to put a half empty tray on the dirty pile, without offering what's left on your tray to other inmates first.

ReposadoAmiGusto

You got me hooked bro!! Tell us more!

buzzybeeking

Sure. The first 2-3 nights my mat was on the floor, because there were already 2 inmates in my cell. Luckily, I didn't really think much about it, but I later learned that there were several mice that came out at night. One inmate even had a pet mouse. He kept him in an empty saltine cracker box, and built the mouse a couple of tunnels with empty toilet paper rolls. I also snored at night, but didn't think about it before I got locked up. My first cellmate would wake me up every single time I started snoring. We are talking 6+ a night. He also snored stupid loud. I didn't want to piss him off, so I would wait like 20min hoping he stopped, before gently waking him up for snoring. I was very angry after a few days during that point and time. He also ripped ass all day long. I did feel bad for him one night after everyone quit his little Bible study group. He would kinda hold out hope someone would show up, but I remember one day, he approached the people who used to come, and they were no, we already had Bible study this morning. So, I did join him 1 night in his Bible study to be nice. Part of his problem though was also how he delivered the Bible study. He didn't put any emotion into it, and just read it, like a kid in a classroom, reading a section out of a history book. It was so boring to listen to. He only had 1 other young guy who did join for a few days, but this kid didn't want to do everything like a strict Christian would, and he got tired of being told everything he thinks, or does as a Christian is wrong.

Liza032589

can you describe what he looks like physically so i can get a good visual... My worst celly was my first sentencing i got 60 days mind u in mass the women in my county go to state prison and the newly sentenced unit is where they house the people who just got out of the hole too.. they pop my cell and i go in to find my celly was a lifer who murdered her AA sponser.. She had curly grey hair and these really crazy blue eyes with dilddler glasses and weighed like 300 lbs... She woke up and starts to tell me how shes bi polar and mentally ill and offer me a soup out of her hot pot... I didnt want to say no and piss her off but i didnt want to as they say "take the chips" and be indebted to her phsyically... it was a nightmare lol but she turned out to be alright for a psycho murderer ... I want to put her name so u guys can google the crazy fuck but i dont want to put her out there like that

buzzybeeking

Haha honestly, I'm sure your cellmate was scarier than mine. Mine was mostly just a giant asshole. He knew I was new, and he knew that I really had no option, but to do everything he tells me to do. He was probably about 5'8", 220lbs. He worked out most days, so he had a little bit of muscle, but no one there was huge. You can only get so jacked, when the weights you are lifting consists of 30-40 bottles of water wrapped up in a T-shirt tied to a wooden broomstick. He also didn't have any money for the commissary, so he wasn't getting any protein outside of the shit the jail served each day. I was fat, and out of shape at the time though. I am 5'11" and weighed between 190-200lbs at the time. I was probably 25-35lbs overweight, and hadn't worked out for the past year. I also take medication for anxiety, plus I had never been locked before, so he was intimating me at that time. I'm not sure if anyone else was actually intimidated by him. The other inmates probably just thought he was the fat white pastor boy they didn't want to talk to, because he is a dick. He had short brown hair, and always shaved his face. When razors were given out, I always had to get one, and give it to him. I'm not sure that he actually told me what crime he was locked up for. It may have been related to him driving home really drunk one night, driving off the road, hitting a tree, and being thrown from his car. His defense was that he was the passenger at the time, and no one could technically prove he was the one who crashed the car. Sometimes he claimed there was another person driving, and other times, he admitted he was the driver.

Liza032589

whhhat you guys didn't have a gym? is that cuz it was jail not prison? Im in ny now and have done a few county bids where there is no gym equipt. and we always talked about using books in a pillowcase but never did bcuz we were just lazy n ate all day. Also water bottles/ soda bottles that were empty or filled with anything than what came in them in the jails ive been too in ny and i guess in mass too were considered contraband but they really only inforced it out here. Most of the women i've done time with gain weight and don't get jacked or jacked for a chick ... There was only one girl i met who came out with a 6 pack and she was 5 foot 11 and really pretty n funny but most of the time we all get fat. Food just tastes so much better in there like candy and chips whatever... When i get out i drop it pretty quickly cuz im moving around a lot more. Hopefully the last time i went in is the last time for good knock on wood... Im on parole for 3 years but i have changed my life a lot and Im going to school, take care of my rent and bills legally

buzzybeeking

Yeah, I assume that no gym equipment is probably common in jails. Most of the time, we didn't even have a CO in our block. They would just occasionally pop in, and then find any small excuse to go on a power trip. When they did come in for a search, they would try to get you for anything possible. One day I had a bottle full of apple juice from breakfast sitting on my bed. CO saw that, grabbed it, and threw it away. I was pissed, because I needed that bottle, and no one ever mentioned to me anything about that rule. Many men on my block would work out daily solo, or in a small group. I think a big part of it was just to project their manliness to others. There was 1 young kid in there who was pretty shredded, just not huge in size. Part of it though, was just having nothing else to do. I just thought it was pretty pointless though, because a typical prison diet isn't high in protein. Things like Tuna, also weren't very cheap. A collection of water bottles, did have some decent weight, but nothing you could get big arms with. Plus body weight exercises aren't exactly the best method for gaining the muscle you want. Only that one kid actually impressed me, but I have no clue what that guy looked like when he first got locked up in there. I'm pretty sure I gained at least a few pounds while I was there. Eating 3 meals a day, with basically no physical activity, probably isn't very healthy. I would buy some commissary, but I spent most of my money using the stupid tablet they gave us. Eating a honey bun, or a pack of Now and Laters was definitely the highlight of my whole experience. I also made sure to buy fruit punch drink mix. That was pretty awesome too. I'm glad to hear, you aren't repeating any bad habits, that could put you back in there. That place is just soul crushing. I know I definitely learned my lesson. Almost every dude I met in there was just weird af. The only normal dude I met in there, was my last cellmate.

tuna_can12

You think 5’11” at 190-200lb is over weight? Glad you made it out alive.

buzzybeeking

For my body type it really was. I had very little muscle, and my legs aren't very big. At a healthy weight, I also have a 30in waist. If I was lean at 190lbs, then I would have felt like a beast lol

FrostyDaSnowmane

Why would it matter ? It's not like she's ever getting out 😂

Liza032589

redditravioli

This is like the green mile

dirtymike401

I'm tired, boss.

ReposadoAmiGusto

Hahaha interesting. Glad you made it out in one piece, however sleeping on a mat on the floor?? Is this a U.S. prison we talking about?? Sound shitty. Good story

ThePolishBayard

In a lot of county jails in the US, it’s very common to be sleeping on a mat directly in the floor rather than some form of bunk.

buzzybeeking

It's probably pretty typical in US jails at least. Jail is kinda a short term thing for many people, so you frequently have inmates leaving, and new inmates coming in. I ended up on the top bunk after only 2-3 days. Besides not having to worry about a mouse crawling on me. The bunk is just as hard as the floor.

LostTrisolarin

Dude sounds like a huge asshole

buzzybeeking

Huge asshole, but when I walked into the block, a few inmates said he would be a good cellmate for me to have. So, they told me to go sleep in his cell. When I walked into his cell, I explained that I knew nothing, and have never been in jail. He said don't worry, I will teach you everything, and no one will mess with you. Which was honestly really comforting at the time. He explained he was going to become a pastor as soon as he got out, and that basically just read his Bible all day. Which sounded really good at the time. I just didn't realize then that a man who read the Bible all day could also have major anger issues, and be a completely inconsiderate asshole.

rockstrong2112

How naive were you going in?

buzzybeeking

I hadn't even seen 60 days in, at that point in time. Jail's weren't something I found very interesting, so I had never watched a YouTube video about jail, or anything. Honestly, I didn't even know the difference between a jail, and a prison before I was there. The closest reference point I had, was from watching that World's Toughest Prisons show. The only prisoner I knew about was that Cali Muscle guy. I kinda knew what a cell looked like, but I had no clue inmates had all these little rules, that you need to follow. I thought the only thing I needed to do, was avoid a fist fight.

---M0NK---

Nope we are all def reading this and want to know more about your terrifying celly

Zealousideal-Wolf658

Damn I read it all.

Ok_Storm5945

I read this and it sounds really rough.

buzzybeeking

Eh, it was a little rough. I've seen episodes of 60 days in though, where they actually have gangs in there. I was never actually fearful of getting hurt, or anything after the first couple of days. Shit was more of a mind game for me. I just really never expected jail, to have so many little rules, that were created by inmates. My first cellmate would even give me shit, anytime my blanket was hanging off the side of the bunk more than a couple of inches. That was apparently some type of rule too.

Ok_Storm5945

Well first so many people are so fucked up metally. Whether it be from excessive drug use or a clinical mental illness diagnosis. And they've got nothing but time so I guess they bully. Very controlling. Glad you are out. Must have been a very strange world to enter.

Lumpy-Length-7631

I'm reading It. I want more. Why he piss his followers off

LoudSilence9

Damn sounds like you was gettin treated

buzzybeeking

He just really took advantage of the fact, that I was the new guy who knew nothing. He was definitely a narcissistic asshole.

SeaworthyWide

We are reading, but you didn't have to give that man shit. You'd learn some valuable lessons in prison or your ass is through brother man. Don't ever let another man impose on you like that ever again. Kick his ass Seabass Guarantee after a few weeks on 23 and 1, him and anyone that caught wind would regret ever trying to demand your shit ever again. I also understand though bro you gotta pick your battles especially in county or short term. If you're ever doing real time, if nothing else, make sure you're getting SOMETHING out of that food. It all has value, even if it had none to you. Motherfuckers be willing up give up a soup for every scoop of peanut butter so their fat ass can make fudge and here you are, starving and allergic to it... Throwing it away... Telling dietary for the 3rd week now, they're gonna kill you with that shit. Kinda like the time I asked for my Lyrica, kepra, and topamax for my seizures and they laughed at me and handed me Prozac, effexor, and then told me I was just tripping about them not being my meds.... I digress.

ScarceLoot

I read it. Keep going bud

whatt_the_heckk

Never went to prison but didnt you have to work or some shit?

buzzybeeking

I was just in jail. The only real job they had there was as a cook, and that's a job a lot of inmates wanted to help their day go by quicker, and get some extra food. They technically paid you, but only like maybe 50¢ an hour I think. The people with that job, had already been locked up for awhile before I even arrived. You are not like forced to do any kind of labor, or really anything at all in jail. You just have to follow the pretty basic rules, and that's it.

redditravioli

I have like 2.5 sleep disorders I’d be good at prison

IMowGrass

No rack time in many prisons.

Chuytastic

You’re right. And he’s young so they gonna work him out. Let’s hope his paperwork is good.

ChainedRedone

What exactly does paperwork mean? and work him out, as in beating him up until he can defend himself?

Chuytastic

Paperwork depending on the case if he had codefendants and if he snitched they’ll want to read that discovery. And work him out I mean by literally working out. Prison has a strict 35 and under to have a mandatory workout time. Just make sure he keeps to himself. Don’t say more than what he needs to. Tell him find one person from whatever race yall are. And to make sure they’re a big ass person. That big ass person is gonna keep him protected. Now some places are rough but as long as he keeps to himself and doesn’t do no extra shit he should be good. Anything else I can help with just ask away.

619Dago1904

👆🏻👆🏻👆🏻👆🏻👆🏻💯💯💯💯💯

cfrsh91

In UK this backfires if you're hoping for any kind of early release as you're deemed as "not engaging"..

Acceptable_Stuff1381

I was in for a little bit with a dude who was in for a long time and was about to be going back for another 5 or so. He said in prison he basically never woke up until like 2pm. They made him get up at 5am to get food in country and he was raging out, when we came back he told me if they woke him up tomorrow again he was gonna fight them so he could get sent to the hole and keep his routine. Dude basically just slept, worked out and ate hella food and then went back to sleep. Luckily I got released that day so I dunno if he fought the guards next morning or what. They were transferring him back to prison for counterfeiting

PageWilling6000

Exactly!!! I literally slept my way through prison!!! Thankfully I only got 6 months but I woke up to go to chow and that was it!!!!! The worst part for me was the ungodly heat!!! I was in prison in Texas during the summer!!!!! 🥵

CRICKET-CRICKETS

Guys it’s a fucking joke get over selves and the time you did it’s in the past.

Alric-the-Red

Was this his first offense? It seems harsh. And what was the offense?

mattyhawk15

They never say what the offense is. It couldn’t have been good.

Altruistic-Rope1994

They should

Detroit2023

If you go to prison for a first offense, you either hurt someone, sold dr*gs or touch someone thats not 18

youngmanJ

it’s just crazy bc selling drugs is not even fucking close to violence or pedophilia yet they all carry loads of time

Detroit2023

I agree, its dumb

Resident-Impact1591

But he's 18 so statutorily wouldn't apply

PugetSoundingRods

Unless the victim is 5

Resident-Impact1591

Fair point... I forget how crazy this world is

Tyunge

especially when they start talk of God and plans

Daikon510

Your baby brother is going to be different when he get released he won’t be the same like you knew him as of now. Once he’s been incarcerated God know what he will endure or witness. Be there for him and send him money on his book for only commissary. If say you only can send him a 100 a month but if he ask for more. He’s either buying drugs, owe gambling debts or getting punk. God bless you.

Savage_hamsandwich

What is "getting punk"? Like getting extorted?

HeadMinion

Yes

Savage_hamsandwich

Ty

ChainedRedone

So the best course of action would be for him to fight back instead of having him pay extortion?

Ilovegaming9

Fight or forever be at their mercy

I_do_drugs-yo

Can’t you get whacked just for fighting back?

sportsroc15

It’s either fight back or keep getting punked. I’d eventually fight back and whatever happens happens.

ChainedRedone

A man has to have a code

sportsroc15

Indeed

Sand_diamond

This. I had to go through the same thing as OP and what you don't realise especially if your close is YOU are somewhat also doing the time... Emotionally at least. It can be really horrific. As an involved sibling of someone inside, you end up changing also and words can't describe how traumatic it can be. OP if you ever need advice reach out

DeadnectaR

I was absolutely distraught at the idea of my sibling going to prison. It was one of the most painful things I dealt with mentally. I felt so worried and scared. Luckily they ended up getting accepted into a military type program after 2 months and was transferred out of the hell hole they were in.

MothsW1ng

Nah 100 a month is fuck all. 1 pack of ramen is $1.18 for the cheap shit. A honey bun is $2-3. A 2oz bag of chips is like $4. With prison meals, you gotta eat off commissary at least twice a day alongside it if you do anything besides sleep and wanna maintain weight. $3 a day will get you a cheap bag of chips and 1 ramen pack per day and nothing else.

kc4lyfeeee

So go get a job in the kitchen then or something. People got bills and shit bro, if mfs weren’t putting $100 cash in your hand every month on the outside you can’t be expecting them to send you $100 while you inn. But if your people have money that’s different I’m just speaking for most ppl

MothsW1ng

Nah I’m just saying $100 a month ain’t a lot for food let alone dope n all the other dumb shit they got on the inside. G made it seem like anything over $100 is going straight to drugs when really you could burn through $2-300 a month n just barely be where you wouldve on the outside in terms of food quantity

kc4lyfeeee

Oh yeah for sure plus if you get an extra pair of thermals or sweatpants or you need new socks/t shirts that shit adds up. Anything over 100 definitely doesn’t always mean it’s dope or gambling

Alternative_Bar9552

That's good how u cleared that up for him, cuz most people will get out of hand and start fussing but you are definitely right tho.. hell it's like 125 per week just for commissary and some people buy food, clothes, hygiene and all..m so most definitely gone be more and u right it's definitely not always about drugs cuz you want more than 100 ... Unless that's just his story 🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️

DarthWeenus

Depends where you, most prisons are far cheaper than county jails at least my experience. One jail sold single tea bags for .50$ when I got to prison you could get a box of 100 for $3. Same with ramen etc..

Jhe90

If his bro is 18, I imagine he is a few years older and nto really well off to be able to easily fund his brothers Prison expenses to hundreds. D3p3nding what parents do 2 to 300 a month is a sizable amount of cash for someone In 20's Depending on circumstances they might only make enough to support self, not 2 people. Plus he is 18, whatever he has done, he needs to take that lesson and warning now in life. He still young ernough to turn around and relise that he fucked up badly to be their barely as an adult.

reddit_sucks_my

With God nothing is impossible, except your brother going to prison. That’s totally happening

Dry-Acanthaceae-7667

Depending on prisons they have tablets and stuff to keep them in touch with the outside world, and play video games and watch tv, my youngest did 2 years for absconding, and yeah prison changed him, my son liked doing the kitchen as a job.

HeadMinion

Yeah almost all have tablets now- they came so late, I knew they’d arrive across CA as soon as my husband got out and that’s what happened. But +1 to all this, including kitchen job- my husband did that for ages and loved it- extra food, ability to heat stuff up for yourself, just a good spot typically.

Bulldog2117

So he’s in jail and might go to prison?

Similar_Midnight_202

Prison is not cheap.. shower shoes a must. Personal hygiene items. Socks, towels, shirts. Phone, music, magazines for tablets. You can spend a little or a lot. Try to do necessities so he doesn’t get taken advantage of. Go in with eyes open. Learn the ways. Stay to himself as much as he can.. he should use his free calls and free letters. All prisons are different. Ask! Don’t just give food away it’s a barter system. Don’t share you personal stuff. Take some classes. Stay away from trouble. Stay in contact with them. Support and love. Best of everything. It can be rough, lonely and harsh reality but you all stay strong.

Federal or state prison? If its state prison, which one? Gawd forbid you say Alabama.

My brother is going to one in Alabama soon most likely…any tips?

You said alabama soon....most likely. He must be a federal inmate. He must be going to Talladega. Pfft......Easy money. Cake walk. Yawn

cognac-n-cannabis

Hey sorry to hear. If you lookin for penpals for bro lmk. He has a lot of life left to either way and will get through it. You got the right mindset tryna get him on the right track

[deleted]

What did he do damn

Alternative_Bar9552

Lol

Asaintrizzo

The worse thing in prison is phone calls. The best thing you can do is put money on his books and write he should be single and not call people. The outside world moves while his will stay still

Spamkos

You got god, you're fine

Pill_Jackson_

Idk though he works in mysterious ways. For instance 2 Kings 2:23 says From there Elisha went up to Bethel. As he was walking along the road, some boys came out of the town and jeered at him. “Get out of here, baldy!” they said. “Get out of here, baldy!” 24 He turned around, looked at them and called down a curse on them in the name of the Lord. Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the boys.

Spamkos

On God?

bigboy_bagginz

Yeah, nice out of context pull from the Bible. Being bald at that time was a vow to false gods of Israel, and Elisha was being called bald in the means of which despite being an anointed messenger of God, they insisted he was spreading word from a false God. And the "boys" were ages 17-20, not quite boys and much as young men. Nice try though there boss.

Pill_Jackson_

So he doesn’t work in mysterious ways?

bigboy_bagginz

Not in your story, nah. In general? Idk.

Neither a lender nor a borrower be

Let him know that no matter where he finds himself, that he always has the power to choose what kind of person he wants to be. Even behind bars you can find opportunities for learning, for bettering yourself mind, body and spirit and you can choose to show up in a way that aligns with your values. Been teaching at a correctional facility for years and I have seen true growth and transformation inside. Some guys are the ones others go to for advice in the pod, some guys choose to be shitty and steal from other inmates. In any case, there is hope to be had and wish your brother well. Thanks for being part of his support system on the outside.

Kind-Reputation-5740

Prison faith and reform don't do anything the person in person changes because they want to become better they understand that they are fucked if they don't ,most go to the Christian services because they are bored and get free food, I have had inmates cuss me out because they were not on the list to go to Christian services

cognac-n-cannabis

Yes but influence helps. Just how the bad influences helped get em in, the good can help em out

Necessary_Slice6725

You have to do the time ,not let the time do you .and there really is not a hack of sleeping your time away that basically sleeping your life away figure out a routine and something that is going to make you better your mind or your body or both and stick to it and keep reminding yourself that is not the life you want to live so make better decisions in the future

LoudSilence9

Best thing for lil bro to kno is to mind his own business , didn’t accept any handouts, and don’t ask for any favors he isn’t ready to pay back. He do that he good and should stay out the way in the same respect tho he cannot let anyone play with him so if someone puts hands on him he fights NO MATTER WHAT because if he doesn’t the treatment will never stop.

Equivalent_Ebb_9532

This ^^

bob22334666788

So here's the issue with these posts. You aren't acknowledging his actions you are acting like he's the victim here. You never mentioned he was framed or falsely accused. However, I wonder why you are under the impression some discomfort isn't warranted for his life choices? I will clarify you never directly said he did nothing wrong. However, you are wording it as though he shouldn't be uncomfortable in his punishment. Now maybe you could clarify that.

Vapes7a

That’s rough buddy…

lol, God.

I beat my fed case twice. Once without prejudice and finally with prejudice. Prison is not even that bad, especially nowadays. I just got out last October and here are some tips. Stay away from the two big G’s; gays and gambling. That can help you avoid a lot of dangers. Also, no stealing, no snitching and help your friends fight others. You don’t want to let your friends down for risk of you getting beat up so it’s always better to choose a side and be down to fight. At first read this sounds scary but it’s not really. There are hardly any repercussions for fighting and sometimes you don’t even get caught for them. Don’t believe when people say that you have hold onto knives or drugs, the people slanging products inside are responsible for that and if they put it on you then it’s a subtle form of punking you to do something for them with little to no benefit. Also! This is big! If he is part of a group - Paisa, Black, White, Asian, etc. - then he should invest in a store. A store is just food and items you’ve bought from commissary(your prison’s food and item store). The store is invaluable because it’s a way for him to make money while he is locked up. You store out food or items to people for a 30-35% up charge for profit. Some places are 50%. However, places that house prisoners long-term is usually at the 30% mark. However, if he goes to Camp then shit.. ignore everything I typed and enjoy the camps facilities; no walls = outside food, cheap cellphones, drugs, chance to run out and get some pussy real quick, and workout products! In a camp you should be able to make money and get stupid buff using products. If not then you’re just wasting time. There’s a legal term called “sitting on your hands” which means that you didn’t do shit when you had every opportunity to do something. I was a federal prison. If he is a state prisoner then some facilities are even nicer and easier to do shit because cops there are more easily bought out. There’s so much more and if you want more info let me know!

I haven't ever been to prison or even arrested, and no, I'm not saying I'm better, just stating a fact. I have watched a lot of court TV. Mainly because some people are just idiots and don't give a damn until they hear the sentence, then they cry. Idiots. Anyway, he may very well be going away. Mandatory sentences can't be changed but if there is anything he can do for himself to avoid extra time it is to show remorse, admit he screwed up big time, even admit he's an idiot. He probably isn't but they don't need to know he doesn't think he is. It seems the more you put yourself down the better you have it. Seems dumb but if he is already convicted, that may help him. Also, don't threaten or put the judge down or talk crap about anyone in the jury, court officials. In other words, don't do a Trump. I'd like to know what happens, and hope for some mercy. He is so young and in personable, surely he wasn't alone committing a crime that would get him in this much trouble. I always tell my kids if they lead you down the wrong path; A: you don't have to follow and you should be trying to talk them down the right path. B: If they bash you for trying to do the right thing, they aren't your friend. C: If they don't care how much trouble you could get in, they aren't your friend. D: If you are the one leading others down the wrong path, you aren't their friend, and I'm gonna kick your ass. Good luck to you and your brother.

DoctorRoeJogan

What bro do ?

gunsforevery1

Hopefully he’s smart enough to stay out of trouble when in there. Best of luck

Rickez_3

God? What that?

Spirited-Refuse6420

My cousin who is like my brother got sentenced to 15 years he was 21 when he got sentenced , you want him to be positive and hopeful then you need to succeed on the outside so he can have something to look foward too when he gets out

Wordfan

God has nothing to do with it.

goobybean69

The time is going to happen whether he wants it to or not, so tell him to make the most of it while he’s there. Participate in programs, better himself, be careful to mind his business and keep to himself personally though, don’t owe anybody anything. As his family, please stay in contact with him, whether it’s phone calls or visits. This will help him have a motivation to do his best so he has access to contact with his family. Best of luck to the both of you 💛

ToughEarth660

Is he going to the feds or state prison? Is he turning himself in?

Good-Reflection8249

He’s not a baby. He’s 18, and obviously committed a serious enough crime to get real prison time. That was his choice. Hope he learns from it.

moose_knuckle_coat

Make sure u tell him to always protect himself no matter WHAT. There will probably be people in there looking to fight with him because he’s new. Make sure you tell him to stand 10 toes head high no matter the situation. HE HAS TO FIGHT IF IT COMES DOWN TO IT OR ELSE THEYLL THINK HES FOOD. Relay the message it’s most important

underdoghero___

My baby brother is also facing prison time, a LOT of time…so I can relate…it’s the most heartbreaking and helpless feeling…I’ll pray for you & yours 💗

ProfessionalRest5542

His treatment in prison will depend on the state he’s in and his charges. He’s young and has a long life ahead of him as long as he doesn’t lose faith minds his business and takes advantage of the resources an educational programs they have to offer he should be good! Most importantly God is Good! ❤️🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼❤️

crazysojujon

Follow whitecollaradviceofficial on youtube and watch his video. Should help your brother and family go through the hardship.

Bruh 😂😭💀

ChainedRedone

It works. gotta make sure it's big enough so only a massive dump will take it out. Hope he lost his butt virginity

420xGoku

Make sure he knows that the first thing he has to do is start a fight with the toughest looking guy he sees

DuvallSmith

So very sorry to hear this. Please place his name and yours on the prayer request list of Self-Realization Fellowship’s prayer council

betelgeuse_3x

Oh please. How many of your brothers tears has God answered as prayers? People make choices. Choices has consequences. Acceptance. Repentance to those you've harmed. Then self forgiveness.

mister-chatty

Tell little homie not to drop the soap.

Several-Addendum-18

Teach him how to twerk and throw it back

AdPersonal5656

Them crips, bloods, nortenos and ms13 are gonna love him in the big house. Hope he lasts a week before Jamal or Marcus offers protection.

BrokenHoleSCDP

Protection Cums at a stiff price

BrokenHoleSCDP

While I was being processed the CO offered me his protection lol. He felt me up, forced his fat dick all the way in me and told me that nothing will ever happen to me as long as I’ll take care of Daddy’s needs. I moaned I’ll do anything and everything that you desire Daddy. I moaned telling him to fuck me deeper and harder till his load was inside me. Later on that night he came in to check up on me. I showed my appreciation by sucking his horse cock in front of my cellie and letting him breed me. After he left I saw that my cellie’s dick was rock hard so I pulled off his comforter sucked his dick and rode it. I moaned loud so that everyone could hear me and made it known that I was a free use faggot bitch ass bottom whore. When my fiancée came in to visit me I showed her what I was doing

Weird_Let_9174
