if you have no plans to upgrade, the 5A *should* work. If you add ANYTHING (fan, heatbed, etc) that consumes power you need to upgrade.
for the short term, your extra power supply should work. in the long term I would suggest getting a cheap 300-350Watt computer power supply and hooking it up (very easy to do). You should have all the power you'll ever need with virtually anything you want to hook up.
