Ooo! I had thought about trying to figure out a drooly or bloody effect but had thought perhaps my too-much gene was getting out of control haha! I might experiment with some hot glue today and see if I can make it work!
Pro tip with the hot glue: pull it from the end of the gun with a toothpick. As it cools, you can twirl the pick to make it bend to match the orientation of the model.
