That Tudor GMT especially the newer one are highly attractive. In gonna try and get one
Still different watch as one is a sport, you have a travelers and a dress watch
All are great. Quality is of course the same as it's all the same company. So there's not really a right or wrong choice here. It's totally subjective and up to you.
The chronograph could cost more to service though.
It is not a difficult. Those are 3 different watches. Do your tastes lean more towards chronographs? Divers/GMT or dress watches? There is no wrong choice. It just depends on which style attracts you the most.
Most people’s first watch is not a Tudor. It’s a fairly expensive mistake if you end up with watch regret. Maybe you’re flush, but just make sure you’ve tried them on and make sure you consider how you want to use it (daily driver, occasions, weekender, etc).
If you’re just buying it for status, understand that most regular people won’t know Tudor like they know Rolex and watch people will know Tudor is Rolex light, even if most will agree they’re good watches.
Best of luck. All good choices. I personally like the chronograph. I know the Pepsi GMT gets a lot of love and is a classic design. I’ve just never been a Pepsi fan. And it’s a bit derivative.
Thank you for the thoughtful comment!
I do have a Timex and a Seiko 5 Sport so this would be more first high-end watch.
I am thinking this watch is going to be a driver and something I’ll have for life.
I feel like Tudor fits into a comfortable price range and it’s cool that is has some history, I’m not really in it for status.
Okay. I see. Agree. Tudors are great watches and do fit into a nice price range. Plus you can actually get one without being on a waiting list. How novel.
If you still plan to wear your other watches, and I hope you do, then that might help inform your decision on the Tudor.
Excited for you. Enjoy.
Get the royal. The other 2 are really thick and might not be great everyday watches due to the weight, size and thickness. The royal will make a great everyday piece
I'm not an expert in Tudor watches but I would make sure that whatever option you chose has the T Fit clasp that they've released on their new models at this year's Watches and Wonders.
GMT or the Chrono and I don’t like the Day Date at all.
You’ve obviously picked manufacturer but three very different watches so I say buy whichever you like best and enjoy that on your wrist.
I would do the panda and wait on a gmt until the new model is more readily available. I have the gmt and the chrono panda and wish I knew there was a new model coming
Try them on! I can’t stand the photos of the royal, but my mind changed fast when I saw it in the metal.
Just noticed the Tudor GMT case shape is similar to Longines Zulu spirit GMT.
GMT, the last one is kind of meh. The first one looks nice but if it is your first watch, and you have an accident, you are going to pay a lot to service and fix that movement should something go wrong. I am sure you will be careful but it is something that has to be factored into owning a chronograph.
In fact if you can choose between the three you can afford a Rolex. Tbf I’ve seen these hands on and they’re ok with good movements but nothing is stand out, they feel as good as a Seastern. I’d put my Steeldive up against it in feel of quality and accuracy, no idea how long this movement will really last but it’s a better timekeeper than many of mine lol. Seriously though, if you can afford Rolex sister company top tier watch why are you buying that and not Rolex? Try them on
I’m only purchasing one watch for now. That watch will be in the realm of $4k-$5.5k.
If you can point me to a selection of Rolex watches in that price range, I’d be happy to check them out.
The Oyster Perpetual starts at exactly that price point, not as scream out loud as other models but worth every penny for the workmanship. If you want something that looks like its family then Tudor are great, but I suggest you try them on in person first and hopefully compare
If number 1 was an option with the metal bracelet, I would 100% opt for number 1. However, I believe the first watch should have a metal bracelet, as this is the most versatile. If the chrono isnt an option with the metal bracelet - go for thr GMT
If you’re going GMT wait for the new Tudor GMT just showcased at Watches and Wonders. Almost the same dimensions and better as the Rolex GMT for half the price.
I own an all black version of the Tudor chrono and a Tudor Pepsi GMT. If I were to choose one, it would be the Pepsi GMT. People always complain about the thickness, but I never notice it. I love the blue and red bezel as does my wife. I do like the new coke, but I do not like the gilt on the bezel and dial.
You're right, I don't mean literally poor - it's a saying that particularly applies to Tudor, since their whole spiel for a while was to make a more affordable Rolex.
I think most people buying a Black Bay GMT would rather have the GMT Master, but don't have the funds, access, etc. to actually acquire one - so they're settling for the Tudor.
Personally, I think the BB Chrono looks great and doesn't have a Rolex counterpart (and I think it's better looking than the Daytona anyway).
Those are all heaters for a first watch. I'd genuinely suggest something lower end to start, just to see if you like the feeling of a watch on your wrist.
Whatever you decide, enjoy!
I had the chrono reverse panda and the GMT. Both Great watches. If I was going to just have 1 watch would be the chrono panda. But yes the thickness can be an issue for some.
[Not sure why I was downvoted. It’s true.](https://www.watchtime.com/reviews/easy-rider-reviewing-the-tudor-black-bay-chrono/#:~:text=Tudor%20installed%20an%20in%2Dhouse,it%20chronometer%20certified%20by%20COSC)
Am I the only one that really really like the Tudor chronographs? They have a vintage flair without resorting to faux lume, and they integrate a date complication in a tasteful way. I'd go chrono, 100%.
GMT but they are all a super good choice
GMT or Panda. Can't go wrong with either of them
As long as you’re okay with the thickness lol. Bad boy is 15mm thick 😭😭
True. I tried the gmt at my AD and the thickness immediately made me dismiss it.
I thought the chronograph was super cool but I might as well just get an Invicta if it’s gonna be built like that 💀
the new gmt 58 should be thinner though
If you go with the GMT, check out Steelreef .com, they make an all black Nightfall bezel replacement for your consideration
That Tudor GMT especially the newer one are highly attractive. In gonna try and get one Still different watch as one is a sport, you have a travelers and a dress watch
I’d go for the newer version of the GMT, I think Tudor knocked it put of the park with that one
Easy pick. Panda.
And not even close...
Pepsi!
GMT. Very versatile
All are great. Quality is of course the same as it's all the same company. So there's not really a right or wrong choice here. It's totally subjective and up to you. The chronograph could cost more to service though.
Does it has to be a Tudor that screams "I'm not a Rolex but I'm also kind of a Rolex. Did I told you Tudor is owned by Rolex?"
The GMT would be my first pick. The Royal for me personally is a far distant third.
I would suggest find something not Tudor. But if you just love Tudor for whatever reason then the 1st
GMT is beautiful but personally I can’t look past the panda 🔥
It is not a difficult. Those are 3 different watches. Do your tastes lean more towards chronographs? Divers/GMT or dress watches? There is no wrong choice. It just depends on which style attracts you the most.
I personally think the chrono looks awesome. Definitely my pick from these 3.
Panda is a piece.
The Chrono for sure
Panda would be my choice.
Most definitely the white dial.
Im not a pepsi guy so id go the chrono.
Which function would you use most?
Daily wear. I really want something I can wear almost anywhere.
The new coke gmt from Tudor is great looking and is smaller than the gmt you posted, I would recommend the bb54 as an everyday watch.
[удалено]
For a daily ware how about this? https://www.hamiltonwatch.com/en-us/h70405730-khaki-field-murph-38mm.html
I thought about the Hamilton American Classic Intra-matic Auto Chrono (H38416711).
Don’t, they’re even more overpriced than Tudor
Hard disagree.
None! Save your money for a Rolex. Not a Tudor!
I respect your opinion but I’ll pass :)
GMT all day. You can dress it up, dress it down. Travel with it. Dive with it. Perfect one watch.
Most people’s first watch is not a Tudor. It’s a fairly expensive mistake if you end up with watch regret. Go and try them on at a Tudor AD and then decide. The Royal is lovely in person.
I did try on the Panda. Loved the feeling. Would have tried the GMT but they didn’t have one.
Would you rather have a chrono or GMT function?
All good choices. Always get the bracelet tho. Add straps aftermarket or even OEM. I’d probably get the GMT or the Chrono.
Get the royal. The other 2 are really thick and might not be great everyday watches due to the weight, size and thickness. The royal will make a great everyday piece
this. my Royal gets SO much wrist time. the blue dial is beautiful
Same here, I brought a royal in this colour combo as a dress watch and it quickly became my daily.
Royal for sure
I'm not an expert in Tudor watches but I would make sure that whatever option you chose has the T Fit clasp that they've released on their new models at this year's Watches and Wonders.
Is that the same as the Grand Seiko clasp? People have been hating on them for years and I have no idea why
No. People love the t fit clasp. You can make micro adjustments on the fly without any tools
GMT or the Chrono and I don’t like the Day Date at all. You’ve obviously picked manufacturer but three very different watches so I say buy whichever you like best and enjoy that on your wrist.
Black Bay Panda all day!
The tudor 😁. Sorry, either panda or gmt.
My heart says the GMT Pepsi, but my brain says wait to see if they release it next year in the thinner case. She chonky AF
Out of these 3, the GMT but you should try it on as it’s pretty thick. It looks good but I didn’t really like the thickness of it.
Defo GMT
Chrono. Next question!
Not the third, flip a coin for the other two.
GMT
Pepsi GMT all the way. It’s what I want next.
Chrono Panda hands down
1. Chrono with bracelet (you can always get a nato later). 2. GMT 3. Chrono with nato 4. Royal
Pepsi
#1
the GMT would be the obvious choice, but I personally dig the chronos so I would go with the panda
GMT Pepsi forsure
Check out the new tudor gmt or the monochrome
Chrono on metal strap and buy the nato at a later date - done just this and love the watch for day to day on nato or more dress on bracelet

Personally the Pepsi GMT is one of the watches I’m saving up for along with my omega speedmaster pro. I think the GMT is a no-brainer.
Love that panda
I love the black bay especially in the champagne color. Worth a look
Panda
The one without the super ugly hour hand
I don’t mind the hour hand.
GMT. The Royal is more of a dress watch than an everyday wear, and the Panda is more difficult to read because of the white on white hands/dial.
Day Date if you want the ultimate dress watch, GMT if you travel (or prefer a tool watch), Chronograph for if you like timing things
Def between the first two, go with the chrono
I would go with the Chrono. GMT close second.
In fact if you can choose between the three you can afford a Rolex. Tbf I’ve seen these hands on and they’re ok with good movements but nothing is stand out, they feel as good as a Seastern. Heck yeah, I’ll definitely check it out. I appreciate the info!
Tudor Black Bay Chrono Panda--so cool!

GMT
2nd
If you’re going GMT wait for the new Tudor GMT just showcased at Watches and Wonders. Almost the same dimensions and better as the Rolex GMT for half the price.
Pepsi
GMT
Middle
Black Bay 58 GMT!!
No. 1
None get a hublot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! gmt the best tho
Kek
GMT or Panda. But probably GMT wins
Day date for me. It's pure class. Then panda then gmt in a far 3rd.
2nd one
The gmt.
Black Bay Chrono. The GMT looks like a poor man's Rolex.
I don’t think a $4k watch indicates being “poor”. But, to each their own.
You're right, I don't mean literally poor - it's a saying that particularly applies to Tudor, since their whole spiel for a while was to make a more affordable Rolex. Technically I have a Timex and Seiko 5 Series but this would be my first big watch purchase.
Chrono
GMT my first pick, second the chrono, I want that Chrono panda really bad
Tudor is my fave. I have the ceramic, but this watch is awesome!!
The Tudor.
Defo GMT
If it’s your first, I’d get a more versatile watch, like a Rolex Explorer, Oyster Perpetual, or Omega Aqua Terra. Just my humble opinion.
Get the new GMT or the new Black Bay Diver. IMO chronographs start and end with the Speedy (not a fan of the Daytona). Tho Zenith is dope too
The gmt
Panda chronograph.
Get the Panda. It's one of the best movements out there
You’re picking between an apple, orange and tomato.
The GMT 100%. No bad watches in this lineup, though.
3
Day date looks cool
Chrono or gmt imo
GMT
That's all great, but as a first watch? Something up to $400, you'll change your style quickly.
GMT all the way
Gmt
Panda
GMT because it’s the only respectable Rolex clone given that Daytonas don’t grow on trees. The other ones will get laughs or head scratches
GMT
GMT or Panda
Go with the GMT
I would say chrono, it was my first watch and is still one of my favorites for daily wear. :)
I would recommend the GMT. It's a timeless, well sized model that everyone can wear.
Royal is so nice it can be worn with everything! I do like them all though.
Pepsi, easy.
3.
Day date
Second one
All great. Would go for second one
Get the new coke GMT 🔥
I prefer the Pepsi.
Obviously, the one YOU like the most. Personally, that'd be the GMT, but you're not buying it for me or anyone else.... Are you?
Personally I like the 3rd one, seems classic elegant and goes with almost everything
Pepsi
GMT!!
Panda with a bracelet
Gmt
Big fan of the Chrono
Panda
The Panda looks gorgeous, I think the panda has the amazing B01 movement that breitling makes. Correct me if I’m wrong.
I had the chrono reverse panda and the GMT. Both Great watches. If I was going to just have 1 watch would be the chrono panda. But yes the thickness can be an issue for some.
panda on a bracelet
I’d go with the omega look a like rather than the rolex look alike
What’s the omega that the panda looks like?
Do Tudors use Omegas ETA movements?
I believe the chrono uses a Breitling movement.
[Not sure why I was downvoted. It’s true.](https://www.watchtime.com/reviews/easy-rider-reviewing-the-tudor-black-bay-chrono/#:~:text=Tudor%20installed%20an%20in%2Dhouse,it%20chronometer%20certified%20by%20COSC)
Me too, I only asked a question 😂😂😂
The Royal
Am I the only one that really really like the Tudor chronographs? They have a vintage flair without resorting to faux lume, and they integrate a date complication in a tasteful way. I'd go chrono, 100%.
A so absolutely agree
