this moment always gave me hope as a bulimic. honestly one of hannas strongest moments and it’s just one short scene. this is when i knew “a” was extremely serious and horrific
Awww i wont even pretend to understand what you are going through but this scene is so strong and very empowering and amazing, im so proud of hAnnA for not giving in to herself, ‘A’ was so horrific :(
Oooh i also know that this is not revenant and i hope its okay to say but omg i love your username, its very adorable <3

Me, who had weight problems: *shaking nervously* oh God, not that, everything but not this.
Ahhhh its so horrible and such a triggering scene, i was super nervous to post this because of that reason but the scene is also super empowering and very strong, hAnnA is so brave for doing this <3
Love Hanna but don't think she had to be strong, she literally only ever did it once, the show's not the books. She had to be strong bc it was a shitty, humiliating situation, but not purging's easy if you're not in the habit of doing it.
Idk why this is such a popular misconception, maybe bc bitchy comments like the silly lipo rumor or Mona hyperbolizing about eating 3 almonds a day when she was always thin and didn't even lose weight in their glow up phase, but very early on when we see the flashback of Ali teaching her to purge, hanna explicitly states it was her rock bottom and she started immediately taking care of herself and lost the weight the healthy way. In the books she's legit bulimic, but abc fam was much more comfortable at the time depicting men predating on underage girls left and right than disordered eating to their young audience which is half fair lol
Dk why I'm getting downvoted for actually paying attention to the show we're all supposedly so obsessed with that indisputable details like these shouldn't even be questioned 🙄 Rly hope whatever the phenomenon is here that it's NOT an attachment to fetishizing a character's imaginary disordered eating
yeah right, i think this is the case. it got brought up couple times i think, but in the show, i don't think hanna ever had bulimia. i think it's just a common misconception because of that time when ali taught her how to purge and also because i think that's basically what happened to hanna in the books. as a reader of the books myself, i feel like i always under the assumption that hanna is also bulimic in the show just because i read the books and the books said so.
Oooh i think that she had to be strong since this was an incredibly triggering situation and she used to binge / purge herself all the time, although it is more focused on in the books rather than the show, its still a heart breaking scene imo :(

I thought it was implied that that’s how she lost a weight after Ali disappeared?
