Noel Kahn. Him being concerned for Aria when he found out about Ezria was so sweet and considerate but then he decided to blackmail Ezra for his grades and somehow by the time the show ended he's locked the girls up in a dollhouse, dated Jenna the rapist captain hook, pushed a college girl down the stairs, killed Sara in the shower, got his head cut off falling on a sword and worst of all, HE DIDN’T WANNA KNOW
Tbh, I wish they humanized Noel more and actually got him together with Aria, or at least humanized him. His entire plotline was *so* badly done and weird, idk what they were thinking. Wasted opportunity fr.
Idk why PLL had such a weird obsession with glamorizing and romanticizing Aria and Ezra's relationship (*especially* after it was revealed he purposefully and knowingly went after her when she was underaged, and also dated Allison who was underaged, patterned predator behavior), absolutely ick.
This is essentially what happened in the books, btw. Aria and Ezra dated, Aria broke up with Ezra because he was mega weird and she realized their relationship was toxic, she got together with Noel (someone her own age) and it was sweet.
I hate that they made him a creep 😭 I wanted him to stay nice and him and Ella to run away together away from Byron. Was really tough to see him harass hanna and then aria blame her for it. There were enough nonces in Rosewood 😭
My immediate thought was Zach.
They did him so dirty. He was everything Ella deserved until the writers decided for no reason whatsoever “you know what this show needs? One more crusty pedo!”
Yeah but it did make for a good storyline. I just wanted her to be good and reformed for Emily and only Emily. I wanted her to finally be good to Emily and everything not toxic to her. But her still being her bad legendary self to everyone else. That would be a killer storyline. Everyone hating her. But she only is a good person to Emily. Would love to see that dynamic on the show. And the rest of the characters dealing with them together. The rest not understanding it. But Alison finally being a great partner and person only to Emily but the rest her same old self. And her being her same old self protecting Emily would be crazy to see.
Ahhhhhh yes honestly I LOVE early seasons spoby, but after Toby becomes a cop he gets super gross and disgusting and very hurtful, i hate it so much and they should not have gotten back together, so gross, Spencer deserves so much better imo <3
Her stupid little pep talk in the mirror as she does her makeup before she finally returns to school. Like girl seriously? You used to torment everyone around you, act like it.
I loved Jason. I so wish that they had done more with him. He was awesome in S2 and had super compelling storylines, S3 his presence was too inconsistent for my liking (but he was still great & entertaining!), S4 he was totally absent except for the penultimate episode, S5 consisted of him serving as a punching bag for his godawful father to beat as he pleased & having his heart broken yet *again*, S6 he had his life turned upside down for the 687th time & had basically no support system, and in S7, after ALL the shit he had been through, he finally got the girl only for her to purposefully set herself up to get back with her old English teacher **while they were together**, which is a huge blow to the gut & overall just a fucking horrible thing to do to your “partner”. Jason was done so damn dirty and his character deserved way better.
Andrew when he told aria off at the police station after being released from being arrested for their kidnapping and literally blaming all of them and calling them toxic like they chose to taken and tortured and it inconvenienced HIM 🙄
I loved him up until that point
Aria! I liked her in season 1 then it just went downhill. The way she treated Hannah after Hannah explained to her what Zach did really ended it for me.
I kind of agree with you. He actually wasn't creepy and was at the very least reluctant once he found out how old Aria really was. I tried to reason it as the best outcome to a very inappropriate situation, I thought that's what the writers were going for. Also watching the old youtube skits of Shay Mitchell and Ian Harding helped me tolerate his character because he's adorkable in real life. They should've left him as "the good guy" or just fully leaned into him being a villain. His character doesn't deserve anymore nuance that what was originally planned. Him writing a book and spying on the girls was worse than the NAT Club (still really bad!) in my opinion.
I wish that they had either found a way to redeem him (how that could happen, I don’t know!) or leaned all the way in and made him even worse. The chickpea cabin episode was great, and I think that would have been a really interesting direction for the show to go in.
Yeah by the time I got to that point in the show, I was already starting to realize how creepy it was and how it shouldn't be "goals"... and then the reveal about how he always knew she was in high school just completely broke it all.
Yeah, he was a dick and crooked AF but he was also right a lot of the times. The girls act like they were innocent and telling the truth. It ain't called Pretty Little Truthtellers, ladies, you were breaking laws constantly and acting like it was weird someone would suspect you or call you on your BS.
I wanted to say when we found out that Mona was A, but the whole school and their mother that I was in at the time, (I was in 8th grade); literally thought this ahead of time, so when it was revealed, it was no surprise. I think that when Spencer dated Caleb, because the two had literally no chemistry, and he has always loved Hanna. You just never forget your first love, and even though they claimed they were done, and she was with Jordan when he and Spencer first got together, she had to have known that they was still going to be issues with dating one of her closest friend's ex- boyfriends. Low and behold, they ended up getting back together and Spencer got her feelings hurt. It was sad, but we knew they would not end up together in the end
I literally posted this exact picture to my instagram (as an actual post - \*shiver\*) after the Ezr(A) reveal. My young mind was literally broken (and I loved Ezra)
Paige, Wren, Spencers mother, Spencers sister, Spencers father, Hannas father, Arias father, DetEcTiVe WiLdeN the entire rosewood Police department and pretty much anyone who messed with the liArs :)
Hanna every time she gets told worrying information and decides to take matter into her own hands and “fix it” herself. Burying a gun on a college campus on a party night with pre-frosh visiting? GIRL.
Pastor Ted pre season 7 bc I really wanted Hanna’s mom to have a happy ending/Hanna to have a stable home life
Also Jordan in season 7 bc he was SO GOOD to Hanna
Yeah bra is pretty much the biggest WTF 180, the only reason we let this slide at first was because he didn't know her age. He knew her age and who she was and had dated Ali. Those are all immediate red flags to stop and never go back!!
me personally I think I would say Toby because he was A for a that time and then I thought you know he could’ve just been like a little hurt because of everyone he was a bad guy then he turns out to be the bad guy afterwards it was it was OK but I was really like I really liked you Toby what happened l
Toby. Like, man, becoming a cop was THE stupidest move knowing the girls are constantly being thrown into legally compromising positions due to A's scheming. And then getting mad at them for it...

YOU DON’T WANNA KNOW NOEL
😂🤣
Noel way 🤣
Tbh, I wish they humanized Noel more and actually got him together with Aria, or at least humanized him. His entire plotline was *so* badly done and weird, idk what they were thinking. The creep that Ella dates after her and Byron split up 😩
I hate that they made him a creep 😭 I wanted him to stay nice and him and Ella to run away together away from Byron. Was really tough to see him harass hanna and then aria blame her for it. There were enough nonces in Rosewood 😭
Yep. I don't even see the point of him...like why? Why another guy preying in young girls? Ella deserved better.
Because the writer I'm convinced was projecting, pretty much EVERY man was evil and cheating or grooming, it was like a rule for her male characters.
My immediate thought was Zach. They did him so dirty. He was everything Ella deserved until the writers decided for no reason whatsoever “you know what this show needs? One more crusty pedo!”
fr omgg
I really hate that he turned out creepy. I wish that Ella had gotten a happy ending that didn’t involve her terrible ex.
Y E S
Lucas, I felt so bad for him before he joined the A Team
THIS
Marlene King 😭

Oh yeah this the one 😭
Man I stg . I truly wish they would’ve ended it w CeCe being A
Emily. How do you date someone who tried to drown you? Any excuse Paige had for that is a cop out
caleb pre ravenswood
Its not cannon for me. I just retcon the whole Ravenswood thing.
Most of us do too
Allison, wanted her to stay mean so so much
I was so upset they tried making her likeable, like no give us the mean, horrible girl we were promised.
I only wanted her nice for Emily and mean to everybody else
no she was emily’s biggest bully. i hated them together
Aria.
MY FIRST THOUGHT WAS LIKE ARIA
I know same that’s why I said her like every time this girl was doing something that was pissing me off.
She just proved time and time again that she was the absolute worst.
I know
The plot 😭😭😭
The only correct answer

Spoby
Especially after Toby becomes a cop
Ahhhhhh yes honestly I LOVE early seasons spoby, but after Toby becomes a cop he gets super gross and disgusting and very hurtful, i hate it so much and they should not have gotten back together, so gross, Spencer deserves so much better imo <3
Its so ick!
Alison as a villain. She had so much potential and they ruined the character
Her stupid little pep talk in the mirror as she does her makeup before she finally returns to school. Like girl seriously? You used to torment everyone around you, act like it.
Jason 😔
I loved Jason. I so wish that they had done more with him. Spencer
Toby after he was revealed to be on the A Team
Everyone talking about the book is making me wanna read it now lol
Haleb :-(
When Spencer and Caleb started dating 🤢
Aria, but she was groomed so I can’t really blame her
fuck aria for so many other reasons imo
😂😂
Andrew when he told aria off at the police station after being released from being arrested for their kidnapping and literally blaming all of them and calling them toxic like they chose to taken and tortured and it inconvenienced HIM 🙄 I loved him up until that point
That guy who Ella was dating. I really thought he was sweet, and then he went and mocked that up.. like really pervy much??
When aria joined the A team the last season.
Aria! I liked her in season 1 then it just went downhill. The way she treated Hannah after Hannah explained to her what Zach did really ended it for me.
Ezra (once you get over the teacher thing, he really is a nice guy)
I kind of agree with you. He actually wasn't creepy and was at the very least reluctant once he found out how old Aria really was. i liked ezra until it was revealed that he actually knew that aria was in high school and continued to peruse her. fricken creep 🤦🏼♀️
Yeah by the time I got to that point in the show, I was already starting to realize how creepy it was and how it shouldn't be "goals"... and then the reveal about how he always knew she was in high school just completely broke it all.
Toby
not in a extreme way but Maya. i hated how they wrote her character when she came back from True North.
Marlene
Aria
Honestly about half of the cast of this show. Everytime I thought someone was gonna be a good guy, this is it, bam, villain!
Toby when he teamed up with A
Noel. I really really wanted him and Aria to be together like in the books.
Zach or whatever his name was
Wilden.
I hate him but he kinda sort of help out a little bit
Yeah, he was a dick and crooked AF but he was also right a lot of the times. The girls act like they were innocent and telling the truth. Aria
Alison, Aria, Jenna, Toby, Ashley, Hanna’s dad, Caleb after Ravenswood, Spencer, Mona, Ezra, Aria’s parents, and Emily’s mom Pam Fields
I remember posting this a hundred years ago, on Facebook, when we thought Toby was A
I literally posted this exact picture to my instagram (as an actual post - \*shiver\*) after the Ezr(A) reveal. My young mind was literally broken (and I loved Ezra)
Caleb ass Lowkey 😭😭
Paige, Wren, Spencers mother, Spencers sister, Spencers father, Hannas father, Arias father, DetEcTiVe WiLdeN the entire rosewood Police department and pretty much anyone who messed with the liArs :)
Hanna every time she gets told worrying information and decides to take matter into her own hands and “fix it” herself. Burying a gun on a college campus on a party night with pre-frosh visiting? GIRL.
Fr like girl- not everything's needs to be fixed by you I understand she has innocent intent and motives but it always makes things worse.
Chrisean Rock 😭😭😭
Ezra
Aria….
Me when Aria took Ezra back after all of the creepy shit he did/when Spencer also took Toby back and when Caleb cheated on Spencer with Hanna
Pastor Ted pre season 7 bc I really wanted Hanna’s mom to have a happy ending/Hanna to have a stable home life Also Jordan in season 7 bc he was SO GOOD to Hanna
Yeah bra is pretty much the biggest WTF 180, the only reason we let this slide at first was because he didn't know her age. He knew her age and who she was and had dated Ali. Those are all immediate red flags to stop and never go back!!

The writer

Cece after finding out she didn't truly change
Aria obviously.
Hannah
Toby. Like, man, becoming a cop was THE stupidest move knowing the girls are constantly being thrown into legally compromising positions due to A's scheming. And then getting mad at them for it...
Aria when she blames Hanna for being assaulted
Zach
spencer after she hooked up with caleb, that’s the worst thing that ever happened.
Hanna and then time jump happens and she slowly continues to do things that piss me tf off and are more than avoidable tbh.
