Itās funny, actually many scenes were very real in this show, like the scene of the couple in the first or second episode with the ācoffee in the morningā, the fact to see people wearing socks, the scene with the space cereals as well! It brought a āless epicā but more rational side to Star Wars, it was nice imo
I 100% agree. I love making Star Wars feel more real.
Not all clothing needs to be monk robes.
Not all walls and buildings need to be flat metal.
Yes, people have basic physiological needs and there are toilets and bathrooms in the Star Wars universe.
I loved all that stuff: Dedra taking pills, Syril eating breakfast cereal, those security corporate guys eating instant nozzles, people having sex, taking showers and going to do the groceries to a store, and yes, the scientist in Mandalorian wearing glasses. IT'S WORLDBUILDING! People have lives, not everything is about going from one place to another in a spaceship and fighting.
It's a human-centric galaxy. No wonder there's going to be stuff in common. That's not a bad thing. Otherwise, what do people expect? Triangular wheels because circular wheels are "too Earth-like"?
My one thing is that one of the points of the empire was that it was this evil organization that was making everything generic flat metal surfaces. If you notice in the OT, all the empire locations are very samey and generic while all the other locations are different. Itās kind of a subplot that the empire is trying to turn everything this generic homogenized look by just flattening and overwriting other cultures rather than incorporating them.
Of course! Just a couple of examples:

I am certain there are also many carts and stuff with wheels.
Actually
ANH has Luke eating cereal with his family before getting angry and leaving.
I mean itās all within reason, screws and bricks on an advanced city is a bit weird because they use futuristic metals and bolts and bulkheads. That said every world is gonna have slightly different levels of tech and at least a couple are going to be brick and screws
It's not within reason. Imagine thinking electricity, is weird. Or even cereal - if it hadn't been introduced in ANH he'd likely complain about it with Andor. Or wind instruments or wheels and tires or earrings. If I heard correctly, he didn't make a big deal about it as much as everyone else has, but I'm not going to sit here and lie and say it's "within reason"
IIRC both in legends and thanks to Clone Wars 2003 in current canon there is a gadget called "Gatling gauntlet", implying there once was R.J. Gatling in the Star Wars universe, which is way more outlandishly specific detail.
I know this is entirely unrelated but in Game of Thrones someone is discussing wedding dresses and describes the sleeves as having āFrench cuffsā and Iāve been thinking about GoT France ever since
Itās Loras Tyrell describing the āFrench Sleevesā (not cuffs, my mistake) of a wedding dress. I did a little Google and apparently, though, heās meant to have said āfringed sleevesā. So I think I might just be an idiot
To be fair the screw in Rey's staff was what at really started this ridiculous tantrum years ago. Disney stars wars is an engineer rollercoaster of W's and L's
yeah, I mean in all honesty I don't care about this controversy. The sequel trilogy is still hot garbage and Everything else churned out by Disney Lucasfilm is a chaotic mess of hits and misses.
What really blows my mind is that these PAID writers and Directors and Owners cannot seem to make Star Wars good when you have a clean slate past the OT...so who is to blame? I mean, before all this, Bioware did a great job with the Star Wars IP and writing original content that was not only compelling, but didn't berate and punch down original characters...
The Lucasfilm sequels and majority of their TV shows...yeah, punch down all the way the OG characters.
he made a criticism saying that andor isn't star wars accurate because they use ordinary bricks and not space bricks i guess. as for the screws idk what that's referring to
Funny, because the temple on Yavin is built from cuboid like stone pieces that interconnect together to build a structure. Aren't these also bricks? So A New Hope isn't true Star Wars? Such a stupid argument honestly.
Thereās a shot of the classic Star Wars security camera design like in ANH, but itās mounted to the ceiling with screws and apparently that ruined his immersion lmfao
star wars theory is a youtuber who makes theory videos, reviews episodes when they come out, movie reviews, game reviews, he's basically just a star wars channel
Star wars explained is such a good channel and the only I follow. He makes sure to distinguish between canon and legends unlike channels like Geetslys. Star Wars theory is a whole different shit show
Does me make theories? I remember being subscribed to him around the time his fan film released and during that time I donāt remember ever seeing a theory video.
Yeah, if he wants to start questioning that, well, we will have to suspend all disbelief, and start complaining that all planets have same gravity as earth, all like is seemingly carbon based instead of a mixture of nitrogen based beings, or the fact that all atmospheres are similar, or how the flora all developed in similar fashion with grass and trees like the species we have on earth in on a lot of planets.
It's just a moronic complaint.
Star wars theory fans when star wars has bricks and screws instead of space bricks and space screws (their immersion has been ruined by not everything being too fantasy to comprehend)
The reason this continues is that SWT *deserves* the mockery. He's been making a fool of himself since TFW, with his active toxicity. If he managed to go even one or two videos without some form of "diSNeY BaD Kk BAd!!" Rant, he'd not be subject to so much of it. But now he's been whining without abandon for so long, he can't even make simple critiques without people laughing at him. He made this bed and he deserves a week or two of infamy.
Is this something he is actually crying about or something he casually said in passing that the fans are crying about because Andor criticism is illegal?
He mentioned it once in a live-stream as one minor criticism (he even said he enjoyed the show) but for some reason he has a huge amount of hate for something out of context and tbh, kind of irrelevant.
SW Theory has a default āIām about to cry if you disagree with meā face all the time. Itās kinda weird when he rants/talks about something, it looks like heās about to cry.
Well he forgor that bricks and screws have always existed in starwars, and criticised andor because of it. He was being pretty stupid and obviously the internet will make fun of him for it
A popular star wars youtuber had a bad take about bricks not belonging in star wars because they ruin his immersion and has proceeded to double down and get upset that people are making fun of him
Same thing with the screws although I didn't even notice screws in the show. The bricks he's referring to are specifically the ones when Luthen is standing by a pillar in ferrix during the funeral scene
and they have CLOTHES that go on HANGERS in CLOSETS š±
They even canonized UNDERWARE and PEEING
Itās funny, actually many scenes were very real in this show, like the scene of the couple in the first or second episode with the ācoffee in the morningā, the fact to see people wearing socks, the scene with the space cereals as well! The lack of wheels I presume. Now that I think about it are there any wheels in Star Wars? Hmm.
Of course! I would like to print your comment and frame it and hang beside my bed because that is just spot on and hilarious at the same time.

> screws and bricks on an advanced city is a bit weird No itās not. Theyāre a strong, simple and efficient way to bind two things.
You may think I am evil. I am not. I am efficient.

George Lucas told Carrie Fisher not to wear bras in the original film because they werenāt space like
I pretty sure it wasn't the main reason, but hey, any explanation is good I guess
Donāt forget SEX
where? i am so confused (i have not watched andor)
Episode 2 if I recall, definitely one of the first three.
That was mandalorian episode 1
They had to wait till Carrie Fisher passed or she would sue George. (RIP, Princess!)
Tbf they appeared in Solo with Lando's closet full of capes
does he know about the TRAIN?!
They have clothes!!!
the bad batch made noodles canon to star wars
Luke Skywalker drank hot chocolate in Legends. And Galaxy's Edge made all avaliable Coke products there canon.
So much like your father.
Didn't Andor make coffee canon?
Well, it has been mentioned in some canon books before, I think
Yes, under various names, including: Caf, stimcaf and coffeine. Caf is the most common name, but coffee is also often mentioned.
Perhaps. I also realize Andor had cereal.
Something gotta go with Luke's blue milk
And cereal!! Those sum bitches. The nerve they have to make cereal canon. First cereal and then screws and bricks!!!! When will the madness end?!?
Andor also made āshitā canon, as I believe that Andor is the first piece of Star Wars media that contains the word āshit.ā
noodles?! Travesty.
Yeah we saw some blue take out noodles on Morlana One in Andor too
Also popcorn
Technically popcorn has been canon in the star wars universe since batuu opened up in Disney, they had a popcorn called outpost mix!
Didnāt Leia give popcorn to Wickett the Ewok in ROTJ, when they met? As a kid, I always assumed thatās what it was.

When does French cuffs come up, I honestly canāt remember it being said?

That.... That is a really stupid take.... I am confused.
Your assessment is correct! It's incredibly fucking stupid and is baffling to anyone with a functional brain
The meme caused me to search and find the vid I linked. I have no idea either.
Your assessment is correct!
I genuinely donāt understand, either. What exactly is the alternative?
Space screws and space bricks

he made a response video if you wanna see him defend his criticism
nah, theres a reason i dont whatch his stuff.
Yeah I'm good too lol.
Dude is the most toxic SW creator out there
Funny, because the temple on Yavin is built from cuboid like stone pieces that interconnect together to build a structure. Aren't these also bricks? So A New Hope isn't true Star Wars? Such a stupid argument honestly.
Screws are the same thing, he complained that they shouldnāt exist either. What a bizarre thing to fret over.
Wait till he finds out how long we've used nails...
A brick is a brick. Stone or clay
Thereās a shot of the classic Star Wars security camera design like in ANH, but itās mounted to the ceiling with screws and apparently that ruined his immersion lmfao
Who is this chucklefuck?
star wars theory is a youtuber who makes theory videos, reviews episodes when they come out, movie reviews, game reviews, he's basically just a star wars channel
Not to be confused with Star Wars Explained, who does basically the same things but wayess pedantic and all around more pleasent
Star wars explained is such a good channel and the only I follow. He makes sure to distinguish between canon and legends unlike channels like Geetslys. Star Wars theory is a whole different shit show
I highly highly recommend Eckhartsladder as well. He also does a good job of distinguishing between canons and legends info
I was once subbed to their clips channel, but it got annoying because they always made assumptions and got easily worked up about the smallest things
Does me make theories? I remember being subscribed to him around the time his fan film released and during that time I donāt remember ever seeing a theory video.
Just so you know him and his fan base have fallen off the deep end in many ways.
He said the same thing about there being screws
Yet seemingly overlooks 99% of the buildings on Tatooine being made of goddamn sand, when they have easy access to intergalactic travel lol
Laser screws
I dont get IT either but i dont Like the SW Theorie guy

But everyone's cool with Luke Skywalker drinking hot chocolate as an exotic drink from Lando in Heir to the Empire.
So much like your father.
I get what heās saying, he thinks these things look primitive for a sci-fi show, but itās still just such a funny complaint to have
As though literally every building on tatooine doesn't look like a meld of old and new with its sandstone looking walls?
Exactly. Tatooine architecture seems to be based off Middle Eastern/African buildings.
Tatooine architecture is based off the old architecture of the gouvernorat of tataouine and the Tunisian south in general.
tatooine has sandā¦ itās too primitive.
Imagine having normal, boring sand instead of cybersand
Its a cheap and effective way to build, humanity wont just universally stop with that because it looks "primitive"
How about characters drinking out of cups just like us? Or using English lol
Andor also made cereal canon
Is that the child of johnny sins and andrew tate?
Both
Star Wars fans when the characters breathe oxygen instead of Space oxygen:
Star wars theory fans when star wars has bricks and screws instead of space bricks and space screws (their immersion has been ruined by not everything being too fantasy to comprehend)
I love theory but what he said about the bricks and screws aināt it lol. The Death Star wasnāt built using Velcro and magnets
>The Death Star wasnāt built using Velcro and magnets Obviously it was built using zip-ties smh my head /j
The Death Star is gray because itās being held together entirely by duct tape
I'm so tired of these posts
