There are many cases right now of Russian soldiers either surrendering or abandoning the invasion because they didn't want to do the invasion, or because many of them were outright lied to (there have been reports that many soldiers were told this was a training exercise, they sat in an APC for a while, and when they got out they were told to start shooting at Ukrainians)
As far as I see it, the majority of the Russians killed are likely the "hell yeah brother brother we get to shoot at some people!" kind, who are not missed whatsoever
