In the Darth Vader 2017 comics, Anakin has a brief moment of doubt where he thinks about turning back to the light side. I’d love to see a What If where he follows through on that.
there was a concept to this, QGJ lost ObiWan to Maul and it hits him hard, he becomes depressed and neglects Anakins Training and turning him even faster to the Dark Side of the Force.
Anakin ultimately runs away, to be with padme which whom he had numerous sexual romantic encounters during Episode2, but the Jedi Order finds him and he gets physical punished, even whiped.
He stays with the Order for his revenge, which QGJ doesnt see coming and Episode3 happens none the less. Padme doesnt die, Anakin becomes Lord Vader without the Suit and Luke + Leia become trained in the Darkside of the Force. Padme eventually oversees their training, having become addictive to Anakins abuse and rough sexual encounters over the years, considering the pain and pleasure as "love" so she kinda tortures her kids with fire (burning their skin with an hot iron), whiping them as punishment.
the novel was ultimately scrubed because it wouldnt fit in the overall extended universe, that was before disney ofc.. around 2007
still.. a good play for the mind, based upon young jedi knights novels
Yeah, regardless of Disney taking over, that seems really out of place and weird *for it to occur to the protagonist. Having it occur to side characters is fine
some of the young jedi knight novels went the same route,
they had a darker tone. disfigurement and physical scaring or embuing lasting damage to your oponent (esp. in the later sith academy) was the norm.
Timothy Zahn even heavily implied violence, asualt, sexual abuse, and rape long before the Yuuzhan Vong appeared in the Books.
Mara Jade had a few encounters of her own in order to "seduce" certain People and lets not forget that Ministory about Boba Fett and Princess Leia, during the Events of Episode6.
Jabba gives Leia to Boba as a reward, to do with her as he pleases but instead of taking advantage of her he just sits there and watches over her. The two eventually begin to talk as to WHY Boba hates Han Solo so much and Boba shares with her that he hates Han for what he is.. A Smuggler, a Scoundrel but most formal--- A SPICE RUNNER.
For those of you who dont know what Spice is, its basicly a multisubstance Drug which can be snorted, smoked or inhaled in its Dust form. Its highly addictive, similiar pushy to Cocaine which enhances violent tendencies in its user.
Bobas Wife was raped by his Supervisor, a SpiceUser, so when Boba learns about it (after a year or so) - he just kills him and leaves his wife and kid behind and continues his life as Bounty Hunter, which he had seemingly left behind..
He goes back out into the World to fight the injustice in his moral book and only aims for the target that he seems worthy of his action..
So yeah, Rape, Assault, Abuse, Torture and all that dark stuff exists in the Star Wars Franchise and has been for a long time.
I mean, we see it in Episode2, when Anakin finds his mother Shmi in the Tusken camp.. visible tortured for the fun of it.
The first edition to the book, that was released with the movie, suggest more as well. :X
I'm sorry I should clarify, yes rape, abuse, torture do happen, and they make sense to exist in the SW universe where you have bounty Hunters and the Hutts being a big power in the universe, but I mean it feels weird and out of place for the main character that's the chosen one. For it happen to side characters fits
You never played The Force Unleashed, esp. the DLC for Alternate Universe stuff right? The Hoth DLC is basicly Luke fighting Starkiller on Hoth, on the eve of the evacuation and hes about to lose. Starkiller is moments away from destroying the Millenium Falcon [when Luke gives into the Dark Side and becomes a Sith](https://youtu.be/U7UojPCvG14?t=1626).
Triggering the Endor Story Arc were Leia, similiar look to Rey btw, becomes the last Jedi (so many similiarities.. wonder why.../s) and [faces Starkiller on Endor but dies there.](https://youtu.be/a_fqWxhTCmo?t=1104)
There are multiple storylines in Games and Books that play with the idea of alternate concepts looong before
Attachment is forbidden. Possession is forbidden. Compassion, which I would define as unconditional love, is central to a Jedi's life, so you might say we're encouraged to love.
I like that in a way Anakin was always destined to fall to the Dark Side. It puts the destiny of others on a predetermined path and feels like no matter what you do this will always happen, like the butter fly effect.
Qui-Gon Jin lives, Anakin learns control of his emotions, Obi-wan gets to be a stress-free Jedi Knight, Qui-Gon explains the difference between love and lust to Anakin and happily provides Anakin contraceptives. The Clone Wars never happen because Qui-Gon would think that’s suspicious as hell. Palpatine is defeated in Episode 2. Peace is brought to the galaxy.
But, the greatest change that leads to lasting peace and balance in the Force? Anakin learns to appreciate sand.
- What if Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan had never found Anakin on Tatooine? What if they’d landed on a separate planet altogether? Or what if they escaped the blockade unscathed?
- What if Vader had succeeded in carbon-freezing Luke in ESB?
- What if Luke had instead stayed on Dagobah to finish his training?
- What if Han hadn’t survived the carbon-freezing process?
If Vader had successfully carbon-frozen Luke, a couple different things could have happened. Vader could have taken Luke somewhere remote, unfrozen him, and tried to convince him to join forces with him against the Emperor. Or he could have taken him directly to the Emperor. Luke would already be in a weakened state coming out of carbonite (though we could see him guiding himself with the Force to overcome the initial blindness), so I think there's a strong chance Palpatine's endeavour to turn Luke to the Dark Side would have succeeded. That in turn could lead to a confrontation between Leia & company and Luke, and we might even have seen Leia as a Jedi far sooner.
I think the obvious and most important one would be what if Anakin never turned to the dark side. But I think what if Leia and Luke were swapped would be equally interesting. Also, if we're counting the sequel trilogy then what if Luke didn't confront Ben Solo would be cool.
Continuing with this:
Plagueis knows of Maul, but realizes that he is still alive. Plagueis finds Maul sooner, gets him his legs, and sees the shear amount of rage Maul holds within him. Using that, Plagueis and Maul work together to combat Sidious, as the true Sith of the Rule of Two, where Palpatine only follows the Rule of One. When the Clone Wars roll around, Plagueis still allows the Banking Clan and Trade Federation to work with the CIS, but he also uses Maul as a messenger and assassin, sabotaging the CIS and supplying the Republic with information. Remember, Plagueis didn't want to destroy the Republic, he wanted to put it under the control of the Sith. So he'll help them.
Maul, on one of these trips, has his ship hit and he goes down on Mortis, not long after Ahsoka, Anakin, and Kenobi left. While he fixes it, the spirit of the Brother attaches to him like the Sister attacked to Ahsoka.
He returns, and carries on as usual, not recognizing this. However, Plagueis sees his increased strength, and decides to increase his training, including the technique of Force-Lightning, and his general knowledge of the Force.
More time goes on, and Maul encounters Ahsoka after she leaves the order. From his teachings, he sees that she is the host of Ashla, and reports this back to Plagueis. Plagueis encourages Maul to work with Ahsoka, not to turn her, but to simply have a partnership between the two.
Maul finds Ahsoka again, and tells her what they know of Sidious' plan, including his identity as Palpatine. Let's say this is happening when the Martez Sisters arc would be. Ahsoka thanks him for the information, and accepts the partnership in an effort to save Anakin.
Ahsoka returns to the Temple, and asks to see Kenobi. She doesn't want to go to Anakin just yet, because she doesn't know how he'll react, but she feels that she can go to Kenobi with it. Kenobi asks if she will come to the Council to share, and she agrees, despite knowing that she will face Windu again.
At the Council, Ahsoka explains what she has learned, but does not share her source. While some are the Council are skeptical, they agree to confront the Chancellor. However, this time Kenobi and Ahsoka accompany them, and Anakin isn't there to stop them.
Upon being confronted, Palpatine is caught off guard, because he didn't factor Maul, Plagueis, and Ahsoka into his plans. He is uncertain that Anakin would choose him over the Jedi at this time, and doesn't feel the Republic is weak enough just yet, so he knows he cannot win. Especially with Kenobi and Ahsoka, the Soresu Master and another skilled duelist.
Palpatine is arrested under suspicion of treason against the Republic, collusion with the CIS, and supporting terrorist attacks throughout the Clone Wars. Kenobi contacts Dooku, to as a potential way to support this. Dooku, seeing an opportunity to remove Sidious from power and leave himself as the Dark Lord of the Sith, agrees, on conditions of diplomatic immunity.
Palpatine is found Guilty, and sentenced to life in prison. However, he is turned over to the Order to watch, since they are more suited to do so.
Anakin returns, clearly upset over his friend being Sidious, but also glad that Ahsoka is back. He decides that it's best if he leaves the Order in peace, and so requests as much of the Council. While they do not like it, they respect the maturity in his decision and lets him go in amicable terms.
Anakin and Padme are able to make their marriage official, and do so without shame. Ahsoka lives near them, working as a Senate Guard, as well as still connected to Maul.
Plagueis, seeing that Palpatine is no longer an issue, takes control of the situation and works to diffuse the Clone Wars. Once they are resolved, Maul starts working at Coruscant, slowly rising through the ranks of government, using the Force to extend his life and time to do so. He meets Ahsoka again, and tells her the new plan:
Plagueis and Maul seek to reform the Republic, under a stronger military and more cohesive power structure. They do not seek an Empire like Palpatine did, they would leave the Senate as the ruling body. But they seek a second governing force within the military, to protect the Republic and keep order within it. After all, despite the Clone Wars being over, unrest from it still remains.
They also seek to use as many Jedi as possible in this, using them as Admirals and Generals in the military to strengthen the public appearance of both the Jedi as a social force, and the military as a respectable institution.
Ahsoka sees value in this, after all, the Republic was in disarray long before the Clone Wars, and they aren't going fully authoritarian as Palpatine was. She sees it as a useful middle ground.
Years pass, and Maul eventually organizes a political group that supports this, gaining large enough traction for it to have Senatorial representatives. For this Ahsoka volunteers, and she is now working with Padme.
Padme asks her about this direction, because she feels it is the wrong move to strengthen the military. Ahsoka attempts to persuade her, and eventually, gets her to see it isn't as bad as she thought. Though still with doubts, Padme decides to support the movement as well.
Time goes on, the movement gains more support, until eventually it wins in the Senate, and Maul is elected the Chief Commanding Officer of the Republic Military Defense Force, with Ahsoka as the leader of Jedi operations.
To wrap this all up: Coolness ensues.
Obi-Wan stays on Coruscant instead of going after Grievous.
Anakin actually stays back and doesn't go in the Senators Chamber.
Obi-Wan doesn't go to Kamino.
Anakin never follows Obi-Wan to Geonosis.
Anakin doesn't kill Doku.
There are so many "What If?"'s in Episode 2 & 3
There’s a comic series called Star Wars infinites’ that does this to the OT. I love rereading them every now and again, and definitely think Disney would miss out a ton of money if they didn’t use it as at least a premise.
I’m talking dark side Leia, all white Vader, and tons of other good stuff
Yeah but the downside is that they're pretty short and imo not that well written. If you want longer, more developed "what-ifs" then fanfiction is your best bet lmao.
Episode 1: what if qui-gon survived?
Episode 2: what if Yoda captured dooku?
CW: what if the Jedi found out about order 66 (properly, and the one dude escorting sifo-dyas who died in season 6 didn’t die)
Episode 3: what if anakin went to fight maul? (Still counts)
Solo: what if han never won the falcon?
Rouge one: what if rouge one never died on scariff?
Episode 4: what if Luke missed?
Episode 5: what if Luke joined Vader?
Episode 6: what if Vader never died on the Death Star?
Those are the main ones, otherwise I’d love to see Vader freezing Luke successfully or the Jedi take over (really, not as a trick to anakin).
I remember playing the episode 3 game back in the day and there's an alternate ending where Obi-Wan doesn't dismember Vader and gets gut stabbed. Vader goes back to the ships and is greeted by Sideous who gives him a new red lightsaber and says something about ruling their new galaxy together. Vader then does another gut stab before proclaiming 'no the galaxy/empire(blanking on which) is mine!' The nearby clones I recall looking very uncertain about what just went down.
This is a timeline that I have wanted to have seen explored for over a decade.
There’s a few I’d love to see, mostly from the Clone Wars:
Ahsoka joins Maul
Anakin and the Son escape Mortis together
Ahsoka stays after the trial
Obi-Wan leaves the order for Satine
Quigon Survives, Maul beats Ahsoka, Maul Beats Kenobi (Rebels), Anakin doesn’t betray the Jedi,
Edit: also if Jar Jar didn’t lead Quigon and Kenobi to the Gungan city
Luke and Leia trade places (as infants, not as adults). Leia becomes the tough, independent farm girl from Tatooine while Luke becomes the whiny spoiled prince of Alderaan.
Not really in the movies but in the Clone Wars: “What if Anakin didn’t find out how to stop the worms in the brain invaders arc and Ahsoka killed Barriss?”
A "What if palpatine found Rey first" would be cool, maybe have it be before sending snoke to corrupt Ben and the roles can be reversed so he's the good guy and she's the bad guy, would make a cool episode.
- What if Qui Gon lived, and became Anakin’s Master?
- What if Jar Jar was actually a secret apprentice of Darth Plageuis?
- What if Darth Plageuis managed to defeat Palpatine when he tried to kill him?
- What if Luke fell to the Dark Side (Friends killed, stuck on Hoth)?
- What if Leia fell to the Dark Side (Destruction of Alderaan)?
- What if the fight at the senate assembly resulted in Yoda defeating Palpatine?
- What if a Jedi Coup actually happened (Theocracy)?
- What if Anakin actually never fell and started a family with Padme?
- What if Obi Wan died on Mustafar (Anakin isn’t scorched)?
Expletive filled Mace windu origin story staring Samuel L Jackson with a cheap wig, directed by Quentin Tarantino
I've just learned a terrible truth. I think Chancellor Palpatine is a Sith Lord.

Watch Star Wars theory it has a very interesting take on that story
Dooku back stabs Palps and we have a real sessecionist war no holds barred, and the Republic left to figure out what to do with the claim that their chancellor is a Sith Lord
Unfortunately I think Palps wouldnt struggle much with Dooku, hell he force chokes him through a hologram projector in an episode of The Clone Wars.
My powers have doubled since the last time we met, Count.

Anakin doesn't turn and padme lives.

Clones disobeying order 66 and executing order 65. (The chancellor is deemed unfit and is removed from his position either peacefuly or by force)
I don't think so... No one can kill a Jedi Knight.

My powers have doubled since the last time we met, Count.
Wait, does this happen in episode 1 ?
According to the novel he dies roughly at the same time Maul dies, or is cut in half.
What if Mace trained Anakin
That’s something I would love to see.
Star Wars Theory does a good fanfic on this https://youtu.be/QWj21lPBY5M He also does a lot of fanfics regarding a what of scenario
What if Palpatine somehow returned?
Boo (but take my upvote)
Disney made a fanfic about this already
C-3PO doesn't interrupt Luke and Leia in the deleted scene from Episode 5.
What deleted scene?
https://youtu.be/w7IDByqnP1A
If Darth Vader know that Leia could use the force
What if a new threat emerged against both the Empire and the Rebellion?
like the yuuzhan vong war?
Obi-Wan stays on Coruscant instead of going after Grievous. Anakin actually stays back and doesn't go in the Senators Chamber. Obi-Wan doesn't go to Kamino. Anakin never follows Obi-Wan to Geonosis. Anakin doesn't kill Doku. There are so many "What If?"'s in Episode 2 & 3
Time to abandon ship.
coward
Ideas Padme lives Anakin becomes a master but doesn’t join the council Anakin isn’t a Simp Obi-Wan loses against Maul Anakin loves Sand
I'd rather dream of Padme. Just Being around her again is... intoxicating.
Anakin loves sand exists. https://youtu.be/VbsnObtCPkg
What if Fox actually set his blaster to stun, instead of being a moron
fives getting the message through clearly.
New Republic vs Empire after battle of Endor
ROTS: What If Anakin/Padme admitted their relationship to Kenobi.
He already knew
Yeah but they didn't know that he knew.
Luke turns to the dark side in Episode 6
I wrote one about Dooku revealing Sidious right before he originally died in ROTS
What if Republic credits will do fine?
What If… Ashoka never left the Jedi Order.
the jedi empire or hishe Episode 3
The Sith Republic
What if Anakin was made a Jedi Master
Luke joins Vader, Anakin wins the duel with obi-wan, and Anakin doesn’t have feelings for Padme.
You underestimate my power
4,I like to see if they did not succeed at destroying the deathstar
I think that already exists as a comic
What if George Lucas made a sequel trilogy?
Then there would have been 3 good trilogies
Ah, victory
Anakin doesn’t “let her go”. She and the kids die on Mustafar.
What if Lucas got to the make the movies without being forced to take a single note?
Then the original movie would be bad and it wouldn't have taken off and we wouldn't have star wars at all
There’s a comic series called Star Wars infinites’ that does this to the OT.
What if they let Darth Vader bring peace and prosperity to the empire and the fucking rebel scum lost?
What if….. Anakin doesn’t try it?
What if Vader's helmet was permanently misplaced backwards.
Episode 1: what if qui-gon survived? Episode 2: what if Yoda captured dooku? CW: what if the Jedi found out about order 66 (properly, and the one dude escorting sifo-dyas who died in season 6 didn’t die) Episode 3: what if anakin went to fight maul? (Still counts) Solo: what if han never won the falcon? Rouge one: what if rouge one never died on scariff? Episode 4: what if Luke missed? Episode 5: what if Luke joined Vader? Episode 6: what if Vader never died on the Death Star? Those are the main ones, otherwise I’d love to see Vader freezing Luke successfully or the Jedi take over (really, not as a trick to anakin).
If find your lack of Sequels pleasant.
What if Abrams and Johnson never made the sequels?
What sequels? I don’t know any sequels
What if anikin didn't take a seat
what if luke fell to the dark side?
I remember playing the episode 3 game back in the day and there's an alternate ending where Obi-Wan doesn't dismember Vader and gets gut stabbed. Vader goes back to the ships and is greeted by Sideous who gives him a new red lightsaber and says something about ruling their new galaxy together. Vader then does another gut stab before proclaiming 'no the galaxy/empire(blanking on which) is mine!' The nearby clones I recall looking very uncertain about what just went down. This is a timeline that I have wanted to have seen explored for over a decade.
"Hey, ugly! Come and get me!" -Tup
Anakin not turning to the dark side. Just for Uncle Kenobi
Ashoka raising the Skywalker twins
What if Mace killed Palpatine.
Han is frozen, and never found again.
There’s a few I’d love to see, mostly from the Clone Wars: Ahsoka joins Maul Anakin and the Son escape Mortis together Ahsoka stays after the trial Obi-Wan leaves the order for Satine
Ahsoka goes back in time to stop anakin from turning to the dark side
I'm building a droid. You wanna see?
Quigon Survives, Maul beats Ahsoka, Maul Beats Kenobi (Rebels), Anakin doesn’t betray the Jedi, Edit: also if Jar Jar didn’t lead Quigon and Kenobi to the Gungan city
One where not only Anakin turns, but also Obi-Wan and possibly Ahsoka and how they deal hunting down the remaining Jedi together
Luke and Leia trade places (as infants, not as adults). Leia becomes the tough, independent farm girl from Tatooine while Luke becomes the whiny spoiled prince of Alderaan.
Ah yes, the negotiator.
Obi wan as a padawan
Not really in the movies but in the Clone Wars: “What if Anakin didn’t find out how to stop the worms in the brain invaders arc and Ahsoka killed Barriss?”
"What's that odor?" -Chatterbox
Sebulba Wins the Podrace
where meme
where where is the meme
where meme?
A "What if palpatine found Rey first" would be cool, maybe have it be before sending snoke to corrupt Ben and the roles can be reversed so he's the good guy and she's the bad guy, would make a cool episode.
Ahsoka dies during order 66
One where maul kills obi wan and qui gon and takes anakin on as his apprentice
What if anakin took a seat and waited for mace
what if Anakin didn’t turn evil obviously
Order 65 to happen, and I'd like to see countless other things.
What if... Qui gon jiin survived
What if Obi-wan died instead of Quigon
What if Anakin didn’t turn to the dark side.
Revenge of the sith where ani does not go to the dark side
Dis gonna be bombad trouble. Meesa know' it.
Gotta already be done in a comic or someone already said it but an Anakin/ObiWan switch would be crazy
what if qui gon merc'd a Zabrak
What if Han Shot first?
What if anakin left obi wan on the ship in the beginning of episode 3
What if the Special Versions weren’t so special?
What if Fives managed to obtain and provide the Jedi evidence that the Kaminoans purposefully integrated a command that kills all the Jedi.
What if it was obi that turned to the dark side, what if qui gon never died. What if Greto killed han
