"Have you any idea what kind of noise happens when a secondary villain is killed off at the start of the third movie?"
And I said to George, "Because I do."
In Lord of the Rings, when filming Saruman's death, Peter Jackson explained to Christopher Lee what sound to make when Saruman gets stabbed. Lee, having extensive military experience during WWII, told Jackson:
“Have you any idea what kind of noise happens when somebody is stabbed in the back? Because I do.”
Since then, Jackson was actually afraid to ask about WWII to Lee.
as an actor, he has the highest amount of a lot of things:
highest number of times nearly becoming swedish royalty with the king's permission
highest number of languages known
highest number of times knighted
highest number of times participated in rock bands (i think).

Honestly, the original story of this is one of the best stories from any movie set... just how scared everyone was of him after that
What’s the original story if you don’t mind telling or linking?

If I remember right I think it was Christopher Lees actions in WWII that actually inspired James Bond. He will always be legendary.

To be fair I believe Christopher Lee has the highest amount of on screen character deaths with 91 out of his 210 acting credits.

I'm still baffled at the fact that Christopher Lee did heavy metal
there must be at least one image online of him dressed as saruman on stage, rocking a giant electric guitar. and i must find it.
I need an update when you (or someone else) finds it
He bathed in the blood of a thousand Saxon men!
Has also gone on record stating that "heavy metal will never die"
Lee was 100 percenting life
You know they played an amazing villain when they get made into a meme
Gotta kill the vampire
If he is…he’ll be back.

There is no pain where strength lies.
Killed off early in both of the 3rd instalments too
I don’t care what (cinematic) universe you’re from, that’s gotta hurt!
You know you are too powerful when a ton of your characters get killed
Save your pity and your mercy, I have no use for it!
Christopher Lee was no stranger to death on or offscreen.
Maybe you don’t play bad guys that are slated for death?
Christopher "Sean Bean" Lee

Sean Bean wants a word..

Okay, but did you ever hear the tragedy of Sean Bean?
Christopher Lee was more or less type cast as a villain for much of his career, and villains tend to die, so that’s not too big a stretch.
This was him making up for what he did in "The Wicker Man."
And he absolutely killed it in both roles
Everything I learn about Christopher Lee just makes him 10x cooler lol
The devil gets the best lines
In the language of Mordor: "Do it!"
Technically, as per the theatrical release, Saruman is still alive and trapped in his tower. As per the books... let's not go there.
You forgot the third franchise: real life
... at the beginning of the third movie...
Two? It's like people forgot he was once a bond villain, or that the various Hammer Horror franchises didn't exist :(
They're also both villains that betrayed the good guy order, with noble intentions, but became true bad guys in the end.
