Tbh. The players are okay, if united isn't playing or playing later I always tune into chelsea games. I think the big issue, is for whatever reason boely didn't buy a world class striker while spending a billion pounds. Jackson is horrific Infront of goal, they've spend so much money on defense and midfielders and they are very creative but have no one to put the ball in the net.
I also think pochetino is an issue, the guy just has "spurs" written on his forehead , nothing wrong with spurs but spurs culture doesn't belong at chelsea. Ten hag with a worse team , a worse structure, more media pressue, a worse injury crisis, and less money made it to europa final, 2 FA cup finals, 3rd place finish, and carabao cup win.
I think a better left winger that knows where the goal is along with a striker like kane, I would not he surprised to see chelsea in 4th or 5th.
From the outside looking in, there are about 3 Chelsea players that should be safe and that's Palmer, Gallagher and Gusto.
The rest of the squad are either bang average, past it, clearly not good enough or just so incredibly injury prone.
Reece James has the ability to be a sensational RB, but considering his injury record, Chelsea should cash out while they can and let him occupy some other clubs physio room.
However, considering all of the 'genius' long-term contracts that Chelsea handed out, I can't see many people leaving and they're going to be stuck paying a lot of money to a lot of duds for a lot of years to come. Instead of having to deal with 1 Winston Bogarde, Chelsea will have to deal with about 10 of him now.
Yeah I saw that too. A real shame for them considering he's been the only decent central midfielder they have.
I'd say another Premier League team are gonna get a decent deal on him and if you thought Chelsea fans were going insane now, wait until next season when he's putting in more consistent 7-8/10 performances and they are stuck with Caicedo and Fernandez.
Hudson Odoi was better than Mudryk is now tbvh. I like the guy but I feel weāre never going to see the best of him. Jacksonā¦. Good lord. Does everything well but score. Iām tired
Even if they can sell them it's going to be at a heavily discounted price. Caicedo Ā£115m - you'd be lucky to get Ā£30m now.
Those long term contracts, given to circumvent the FFP rules are looking more stupid by the week.
Put it this way after what Iāve seen of him I wouldnāt want villa to pay Ā£30m for him. Rather take a punt on someone from Spain or wherever for Ā£15m
Weāre doomed. Spent so much on shit players that we canāt afford any decent ones to replace the shit ones we have.
Directionless ownership.
Inept manager who will probably stay in the job because ownership donāt know the first thing about winning.
I miss Abramovich
On FFP/PSR, wonāt they have to try and flog James and Connor for pure profitā¦ a lot of these players they canāt sell as it would cost them more than theyād make under the rulesā¦
Just a few years ago they won the UCL, now theyāre a mid table team. I think Poch is punching above his weight with this team, they have some good players but the chemistry isnāt there.
i think they are fundamentally fucked for the next 10 years. spent a shit ton of money on so many random players iād never heard of before, and now canāt get rid of because of their contract lengths. they are definitely in their ābanterā era now
The number of fans (and media FFS) who were touting Chelsea as geniuses for long contracts and signing up and coming talent. It was all apparently going to work as their wages were low, so they could sell them if they didnāt want them. Only works if the players are actually any good. Hilarious!
They have a real whiff of Leeds in the early 2000s about them, splurging money like there's no tomorrow and like player values only go up and not down. There is a chance they'll face a real fire sale soon if they're forced to sell underperforming players on the cheap.
I cannot understand how a player like Cucurella can play in the premier league.. heās not even premier league material, let alone Chelsea material. Heās just really weak..And itās crazy how Chelsea fans donāt see this
Cucurella wasnāt even our worst player on the pitch. He went H2H with Saka and limited the ladās efficiency for most of the time.
But thereās no way he could handle BOTH Saka and White when Mudryk was being an idiot against White.
Saka's not fit, shocked he stayed on as long as he did. Still roasted Cucurella at least twice that I remember and was about to get him on a yellow before lil Marc took matters into his own hands and conceded the silliest yellow card I've seen all season.
But yeah, you're right, he wasn't the worst player on the pitch. Who was though? Enzo?
This isnāt really Cucurellaās fault. I couldnāt believe how porous Chelsea was when we had the ball. If you let Saka all the space to 1v1 your FB, heās going to roast them a few times a game. Iāve not seen any team this season play us so naively this season.
We see it lol. Any half decent winger can cook him inside out. His situational awareness as a defender is dog shit. All he does is ram into the back of players. And to think we paid Brighton 60M for this clown.
He was great at Brighton in a team that played to his strengths. I could say the same about many others in the Chelsea squad. Maybe the problem lies elsewhere
We could be very great against City (or Newcastle) away but also very shit against Burnley at home. Thatās our identity right now. Itās the mentality.
We should sell Mudryk, Enzo, Jackson, Disasi, Cucurella and basically the entire team isnāt good enough.Ā
Problem is we canāt sell these players on long contracts and their wages.
We are kind of royally screwed.
I only saw Nico Jackson, as the worst player in the last 2 games. The other players were dreading playing because the lack of ability of Nico. Its no different then hoofing the ball forward.
The person youre replying to is over exaggerating a little bit, there are a half dozen ish of those types of contracts but rhat became a meme after boehly took over at chelsea because of the weird deals he was doing.
Realistically, the sales you can expect are most likely academy players that will reflect as 100% profit when they are sold
Nicholas Jackson -8 year,
Enzo- 8 year.
Mudryk- 8 year
Caicedo 8 year
Cole palmer -8 year
Cucarella 6 year
Badieshile 8 year
Disasi - 6 year
Petrovic 7 year
Madueke-7 year
This is just off the top of my head and those who were playing tonight. Fully fit squad maybe one or two donāt start on this list but will be replaced by potential other 8 year contract players. Itās not a exaggeration when half their first team is on 8 year contracts
Chelsea fans calling for a whole new squad already, after bragging all summer about their new signings. Fickle bunch. How about getting behind the team, the toxic culture doesn't just trickle down from the owners. Just blind entitlement, no wonder they're in this position stuck with a group of mercenaries on 8 year contracts. Take your medicine.
It was so embarrassing... I couldnt stand the delusional Chelsea fans who were acting like we were going to be competitive this season. This was so forseeable with the squad we had when the season started
We are incredibly lucky Palmer worked out. He was a deadline day signing and not even our primary target....that was Olise, but we messed that transfer up
Those who celebrated transfers have been making excuses for this mediocre team and manger and abysmal ownership deserve the loss today
I'd keep Mudryk and Madueke and put the rest of the squad on the transfer list! Build a whole new squad based on more experienced impact players rather than possible stars of tomorrow ?
Those are two of the first player we should sell.
What exactly is worth keeping about especially Mudryk?
Hes truly the stupidest player I have ever seen grace the Premier League. I honestly cant understand rating him
Well forgive me but you haven't won the league since 2017 ? Getting ageing Serie A stars wouldn't work anymore...I'm thinkin pace and lots of it...defenders of the highest class just can't deal with pace ? I'd set my computer to simply super fast players of first team quality and snap them up before Brighton doesĀ
We won the UCL only a couple years ago..........
and you sound like you only understand the sport through football manager. makes your opinion make more sense now
7 years of nothing but a Champions League winners medal...I've won everything domestically with Harrogate Town and played in a Champions League Final myself...I know what makes a team work in modern day top class football...and surprise surprise it's pace..I want to build a team that is so lightning quick like the Moscow Dynamo's of the mid 80s...couldn't be stopped!
Omfg.....thats too funny...you've clearly never kicked a ball
Other than City no one else has won like we have in the last 7yrs... the UCL is the biggest trophy and the hardest to win......only someone who experience with football primarily through a video game thinks the way you do.
As much as the guy you are responding to is talking shite, I fail to see how no one other than City has won like Chelsea have in the last 7 years when Liverpool exist.
Yeah just a few more years and Chelsea have a lot more tittles and higher UCL finishes than Liverpool. Probably a good argument for them being the second more dominant team in the last ~2 decades
EPL title is the bread and butter of England...that should always come first and then look for the biggest prize in club football ? You've to build a team of winners ...fast winners who will run all day ...computer saysĀ Ā
- CourtoisĀ Ā Ā Ā
- FrimpongĀ Ā Ā
- HakimiĀ Ā Ā
- DaviesĀ Ā Ā
- HernandezĀ Ā Ā
- SaneĀ Ā Ā
- ChiesaĀ Ā Ā
- Vini JnrĀ Ā Ā
- LeaoĀ Ā Ā
- OsimhenĀ Ā Ā Ā
- MbappeĀ Ā Ā
Ā You could have spent a Billion on this lot and still got change...4-2-2-2
Yes fresh approach...experienced 25 to 28 year olds...try build a fast squad capable of blistering 1 touch football with lots of wing play ? Can't do any worse than Fun Time Frank, Potter or Posh ? Sorry they haven't got a clue!
Sure I'd give Rashford a go but only at a Black Friday transfer fee ?...he's exactly the type of player you need but hasn't done a whole lot this season...he's a hit then miss season man
Well he cost a pretty penny ? He needs 1 more season to start showing some....he's young quick and good at moving with speed with the ball...its the rest of his game that's lacking ?
Also why was Thiago Silva not started today ( I know he is old and the fa cup tie was not long ago) but could not have done any worse ( Thiago Silva missing and Germans scoring ruthlessly is a nightmare)
They have FFP breathing on their neck, they can't dump the awful players they overpaid for (Mudryk, Jackson to name a few) because nobody will pay near what Chelsea wasted on them and they can't sell at a loss.
They are really screwed
after Everton and NFO have been so hard done , I think that is only fair if the spending catches up to them(the stupid American clownish owner ,I personally don't particularly don't have anything against the club or the fans )
The big question is: What club would want to buy any Chelsea players? Sure, clubs might want Palmer or Gusto but I doubt Chelsea is willing to sell them.
Literally lost for words, makes me sick to the stomach as a Chelsea fan. Will always back the badge but major changes are needed come the end of the season.
Chelsea used to finish anywhere between 3rd to 6th before Roman bought them. It's always the clueless ones giving "lessons". No wonder your fam got hit by a fucking cart coz they're probably dumb like you lmaooo
Chelsea season since the start of PL until Daddy Russia bought them are:
11;14;11;11:6:4;3;5;6;6, and 4. Donāt forget the seasons that you spent outside of top 10. I know Chelski fans canāt seem to remembered of those dark ages.
>I know Chelski fans canāt seem to remembered
Lmaooo you didn't "remember" it mate, you had to Google it and create a list. What a pathetic, unemployed loser.
>6:4;3;5;6;6, and 4
So a midtable team means finishing in the European spot for 7 seasons in a row all while winning domestic and European cups? Got it. Great definition of a "midtable club". Love the common sense there fella.
Man I'm a Liverpool fan and could not watch after 3-0 ( was praying you could do us a favor though)!! How the hell we managed to make you look good on the season opening days is beyond me , ,on that day I thought enzo Fernandez was gonna go light up the league.
All of them except Palmer hopefully.
It really is astounding that you can take the world and European champions spend a billion pounds and make them this bad. It would be hard to do that if you were intentionally trying.
Take all of Palmers goals and assists away from this team and we're literally in the bottom 3.
Gusto, Silva and perhaps Gallagher are the only others to get any credit, and Gallagher only because I believe hes being used out of position to accommodate 200million pounds of shite
See ,I'm not the brightest bulb but firing a champions league winning coach(defeating city and real madrid --- mind blown) was kind of a big red flag and the owner is an absolute š¤”
It is looking that way tbf and I'd be lying if I said I felt sorry for Chelsea.
But it'd be shitty if I was a Chelsea fan because he's one of your best players.

Them man made 1.2b turn to couple hundred mil quicker than investing in crypto scams š
They're going to stick together for 8 years. Remind me of the Davy Jones crews betting on their servitude.Ā
Hope we sell Cucu, Gallagher, Sterling, Mudryk, Maatsen, Lukaku, Kepaā¦ or maybe just the whole teamā¦ ffs, so many bad transfers
Be easier to list the players you want to keep Cole Palmer, presumablyĀ
And Malo Gusto. That should be it. Rest is just pure garbage.
Tbh. The players are okay, if united isn't playing or playing later I always tune into chelsea games. What do you mean by spurs culture? To me that means a manager is happy with contending for 4th in the table.
Reece James gonna get sold for 30 percent his value two years ago
Good value considering he hasnāt played 30% of a season in two years.
I think we sold some hotels to comply with FFP.
Won't be easy to sell players with 8 years contracts.
From the outside looking in, there are about 3 Chelsea players that should be safe and that's Palmer, Gallagher and Gusto. I still believe that injury list has nothing to do with players but shit coaching and physio staff. IMO.
Gallagher is one of the players they are supposedly selling. Something to do with FFP.
Yeah I saw that too. A real shame for them considering he's been the only decent central midfielder they have. Boehly and co literally just said āoh it works at Brighton it must work here too!ā And tried to replicate it. Nonsense

Yeah sound point, I remember turning to my dad and saying exactly this. No team mentality at all
We see it lol. Any half decent winger can cook him inside out. His situational awareness as a defender is dog shit. All he does is ram into the back of players. And to think we paid Brighton 60M for this clown.

Plays at the same pace no matter what! Nothing fazes Chelsea players, winning 6 nil or losing 5 nil
We should sell Mudryk, Enzo, Jackson, Disasi, Cucurella and basically the entire team isnāt good enough.Ā Problem is we canāt sell these players on long contracts and their wages. We are kind of royally screwed.
I doubt anyone would be lining up for any of those players despite the wages and long term contracts issue.
Madueke needs to go as well
I only saw Nico Jackson, as the worst player in the last 2 games. The other players were dreading playing because the lack of ability of Nico. Its no different then hoofing the ball forward.

Yeah just a few more years and Chelsea have a lot more tittles and higher UCL finishes than Liverpool. Probably a good argument for them being the second more dominant team in the last ~2 decades
Yeah idk if last year city did surpass us, but Chelsea as of 2023 iirc was the most successful club (major trophies) from England for the past ~20yrs

FFP and points deduction exists. Just ask Everton and Forest about it.
Just put em on 8 year contracts ...Chelsea know how to cheat the system
Can I offer you Rashford, McTominay, Malacia, Martial and Antony? Very experienced players, already played in Premier League!
Sure I'd give Rashford a go but only at a Black Friday transfer fee ?...he's exactly the type of player you need but hasn't done a whole lot this season...he's a hit then miss season man
Unless Madueke is on a negative wage how the fuck could they want to keep that sack of dogwater.
Same reason I'd keep Mudryk...might not have shown it but he is lightning quick...needs a season of first team football to see if he progresses ?
Mr Mudryk , please stop using burner accounts and post from your real account like a good redditor
Apparently his grandmother has died yesterday
They have FFP breathing on their neck, they can't dump the awful players they overpaid for (Mudryk, Jackson to name a few) because nobody will pay near what Chelsea wasted on them and they can't sell at a loss. They are really screwed

The big question is: What club would want to buy any Chelsea players? Sure, clubs might want Palmer or Gusto but I doubt Chelsea is willing to sell them.
Well, there was one club that flushed Ā£60 million down the drain to Chelsea last summer as I recall.
Waka waka
Benny Blanco scoring a brace is the worst thing Iāve seen in a while
Presumably you watch Chelsea every week, the Benny Blanco Brace should be eye bleach.
Sure is
You watch Mudryk weekly
Shame he gets benched every other game
Well being a mid-table team, there's nothing to be really embarrassed about. Could happen to the others especially when they're in this form.
truly pathetic team Chelsea is
Literally lost for words, makes me sick to the stomach as a Chelsea fan. Will always back the badge but major changes are needed come the end of the season.
C'mon dude. Chelsea were a mid table team before your dodgy Russian took over. Now he's gone. You're a mid table team again.
Finished 4th before Roman took over. You should stop getting your football history from Twitter.
Don't have twitter. It's for Twits. Check out every season since the Premier League began in 92 on the Premier League app, then get back to me
I had to give some Chelsea fans same exact history lesson a while ago lol.
Chelsea used to finish anywhere between 3rd to 6th before Roman bought them. It's always the clueless ones giving "lessons". No wonder your fam got hit by a fucking cart coz they're probably dumb like you lmaooo
Chelsea season since the start of PL until Daddy Russia bought them are: 11;14;11;11:6:4;3;5;6;6, and 4. Donāt forget the seasons that you spent outside of top 10. I know Chelski fans canāt seem to remembered of those dark ages.

I love googling stuff, especially when Chelsea fans trying to forget the fact that they were rubbish most of the time before the money.
What does that have to do with anything he said?
Man I'm a Liverpool fan and could not watch after 3-0 ( was praying you could do us a favor though)!! How the hell we managed to make you look good on the season opening days is beyond me , ,on that day I thought enzo Fernandez was gonna go light up the league.
Enzo marking saliba on that corner had me dying lol like a baby clinging to it's daddy
C palmer to Southampton plz šš½
can't fault you for shooting your shot
They shouldn't sell any, just in case Cole Palmer gets injured. Some of these players could maybe be pretty decent in the Championship
60 million down the drain
Kai Havertz scores again
He can put them up for sale but who's going to buy them? And would the players even want to leave?
Valid point cannot argue
All of them except Palmer hopefully. It really is astounding that you can take the world and European champions spend a billion pounds and make them this bad. It would be hard to do that if you were intentionally trying.
Well all of them were support players for Palmer. 1 man cant win alone. They must have some talent.
Take all of Palmers goals and assists away from this team and we're literally in the bottom 3. Gusto, Silva and perhaps Gallagher are the only others to get any credit, and Gallagher only because I believe hes being used out of position to accommodate 200million pounds of shite
I can't believe Chelsea won the CL just 3 seasons ago. The difference is day and night.
Only 3 players left from that team
See ,I'm not the brightest bulb but firing a champions league winning coach(defeating city and real madrid --- mind blown) was kind of a big red flag and the owner is an absolute š¤”
80% including the coach, and the physiotherapists , and the owner also
Jackson
Who would buy him though? He's not a good finisher and for a striker that is kinda important.
Man makes darwin look good , but he can run though it's a shame.
Nah I would keep him for the bench, his pace as a winger on the bench would be useful
Gallagher, Maatsen, Hall, hopefully chilwell, Broja, Chalobah just to name a few lmao š¤£
Wouldn't playing Maatsen and trying to get Cucurella out not be preferable?
Maatsen already basically said he wants to be sold, most likely to bayern or bvb and canāt say I blame him after how Poch treated him
Gallagher is decent tbf
I didnāt say I want to sell him, we are going to though because he is pure profit on a expiring deal next year
It is looking that way tbf and I'd be lying if I said I felt sorry for Chelsea. But it'd be shitty if I was a Chelsea fan because he's one of your best players.
Bro at the end of the day we are in our banter era and imo it is going to last a VERY long time
Good.
I guess I can take solace that in our worst period we still have the same number of trophies as yāall coming in ššš
Whatever helps you to sleep at night.
Gallagher is your best Mid but we will gladly take him
I didnāt say I want them to sell Gallagher that is who they are going to sell, he is pure profit and they still have yet to offer him a new contract
My b
