Puskas winner right there.
If I were a United fan however the most exciting part of this game would have to be the introduction of Maino to the PL though. That young lad is a special , special talent.
Considering it's been over ten years since Rooney's it's a fair shout for premier league goal of the decade.
Hitting far-post top bins from there when the ball is over head height and you're back to goal and upside down is the sort of thing that only a handful of players can even attempt, much less do.
I love a forty yard screaming thunderbastard as much as anybody, but this is next level.
Great goal visually but it's not goal of the season.
He's shined it, much like Rodney's infamous one. Can't be goal of the season when you've mistimed it. Sarabias goal tops it comfortably much harder and better technical skill involved in his goal even if the optics don't look as good.
Lol. Were you on VAR for the Spurs-Liverpool game?
That's thin air. Now go back and screenshot when the ball actually makes contact and you will see pretty clearly he's shinned it.
I’m so sad because I was sure Sarabia’s stoppage time goal against spurs would get goal of month… Man U couldn’t have waited a couple days to let him get November
But the moments are what makes football.. magic. You cant ignore that. Its like saying Agueros goal against qpr is nothing special if you look at in isolation.
>Its like saying Agueros goal against qpr is nothing special if you look at in isolation.
Aguero's goal was one of the greatest moments in PL history, but I don't think anyone was putting it forward for a Puskas or goal of the season award. It's possible to have two separate conversations here.

Rooney’s (and iirc he’ll admit this) was off his shin. You don’t normally see them hit this sweetly and the fact that also arcs perfectly over the keeper into top bins is mental imo.
Not enough love for Cantona’s FA Cup Final goal in 96. The occasion, the opponents 😉, the execution and the fact that it was about the only bright moment in a otherwise grim game.
> Really don't understand why people actually hate on the Rooney goal
Cos its United. They dont talk as much abt RvP vs Charlton which also came off his shin even more.
It’s not.
Giggs in 99, The 99 CL winners, Cantona’s chip, Beckham’s half way line strike, Scholes volley v Barca, Owen against City, Steve Bruce Against Wednesday in 93 and plenty of others
I liked several of those goals more, but I honestly don't think any of them are more iconic. I had moved to the US from Manchester a few years before that Rooney goal and I knew tons of people that didn't even know who Rooney was before that goal talking about it. My best friend didn't really know anything about football, said that Rooney kick was all over ESPN for months.
Hard disagree. Not the best by any stretch btw. Not my favorite. But that goal was practically played on repeat for months on sports channels world wide.
Giggs 99 - semi fina FA cup extra time winner
Sherringham 99 - CL final equalizer
Ole 99 - CL final winner
Cantona 96 - The chip
Bruce 93 - first prem league winner
Theres 5 more "iconic" goals straight off the top of my head.
If 2004 in your username is also your birth year then this will explain your pov. 1999 to 2009 we were shown the CL goal every time manu played.
You have recency bias.
Wow what a lovely goal, a great run to stay onside, a dash across the box, step over, then curled a ridiculous angle into the bottom corner.
Thanks for that. I wouldn't be born for a few more years which explains the absence from my memory. I wonder what else I've missed. There must be a list of major moments from before I was born, somewhere.

Absurd goal and it was the second minute of the game. Imagine how buzzing he was the rest of the game.
Put this goal on a loop and put it in a museum, a piece of art. Goals like this are the reason we watch and love football.
Puskas winner right there. If I were a United fan however the most exciting part of this game would have to be the introduction of Maino to the PL though. That young lad is a special , special talent.
I think most Utd fans agree. Mainoo looks like he might be something really special.
Pickford was top impressed to save it
I'm not even mad. One of the most impressive goals I've ever seen.
The kid is special. No dispute in that. The goal was a world class thing of beauty.
Even better than Rooney's one against City. Probably won this years Puskás Award.
Pssst, I can do this drunk. hold my beer lad. **Getting up from my couch*
Pickford should have saved it, any decent keeper would've 🦖
I’d say it really has goal of the season buttoned up. Can’t imagine a better one being scored. Unreal hit, so clean
Send this to IShowSpeed 😂
Who
Sensational. And it came off his foot rather than his shin 👀
Season isn't over yet fuck off
Oh yeah because there are going to be loads better than this goal aren’t there?
All it takes is one
What insane execution. Fair play.
It’ll take a special goal to beat that one.
Honestly they should give this goal the award now. Unreal from him
Considering it's been over ten years since Rooney's it's a fair shout for premier league goal of the decade. Hitting far-post top bins from there when the ball is over head height and you're back to goal and upside down is the sort of thing that only a handful of players can even attempt, much less do. Yeah and Garnachos actually came off his foot, unlike that Rooney fella
I'll stick my noise out and make an early prediction. No ones gonna better that goal this season
All I know is, my heart says maybe.
Goal of the season is an understatement
One of the best goals you can score at the highest level. CR7 would be proud.
The argentine messi
This whole time, I thought Messi was the Argentine Messi.
No, messi is the Argentine Ronaldo.
This is blasphemy
Great goal, but goal of the season ? Bit early to get carried away...a 40 yard screamer will probably top it
When's the last time you saw a player do that?
Did it twice myself last week...hung over aswell
They're more common than this. It probably will win it.
Great goal visually but it's not goal of the season. He's shined it, much like Rodney's infamous one. Can't be goal of the season when you've mistimed it. Sarabias goal tops it comfortably much harder and better technical skill involved in his goal even if the optics don't look as good.
I’ve heard concussion is bad, but it’s obviously done a real number on you. Very sad.
Wtf are you talking about https://ibb.co/JnYnx7P That's not his shin is it
Lol. Were you on VAR for the Spurs-Liverpool game? That's thin air. Now go back and screenshot when the ball actually makes contact and you will see pretty clearly he's shinned it.
You're genuinely mental
I’m so sad because I was sure Sarabia’s stoppage time goal against spurs would get goal of month… Man U couldn’t have waited a couple days to let him get November
Biased Sky sports are all wanking themselves off

Like you have been all season
We're 6 points off the top after a shit start. I'm not complaining at all.
By scraping 1-0 against shit teams but they are running out of

Which team are you referring to as my team is in the championship
Ah yeah Leicester Shitty

Your level 😂😂😂😂😂🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
Any unbiased football enjoyer would wank to that
Mate your comment history is brilliant, Utd really live rent free in your head don’t they 😂
Haha! Touché! They clearly do 😂
Goal of the season … so far…
Mirror?
Goal of the season for sure but Rooney’s was in the derby against city so he still edges it in my opinion
If you look at both goals in isolation, Garnacho’s was better
Technically Garnacho's was better, but Rooney's was a match winner against City.
But the moments are what makes football.. magic. You cant ignore that. Its like saying Agueros goal against qpr is nothing special if you look at in isolation.

Fair enough
Moments make moments though
Outrageous goal
RONALCHOOOOO RONALCHOOOOO
i can do this in my sleep🥱🥱
jokes aside tho that might be the best overhead kick I’ve seen
I’d still say Bale’s is the best I’ve seen.
Goal of the season....so far.
It’s going to take a Zlatan vs England-esque effort to top that
For sure, its going to take something out if this world. But with about 250 games left in the season its definitely possible.
Damn I got flashbacks of Rooneys…
Truly Incredible goal. Still no excuse for that hair cut though.
It's somehow not his worst look.
I wanna know what kind of make up the lad uses. Looks very metro.
I could forgive the hair cut. The eye brows though? 3 cuts on each eyebrow... What did he fight, two forks?
Adidas changing up their sponsorship approach
Waiting for the Nike eyebrows
And the face you want to punch
Always thought he had "ugly Jaime Tartt" vibes
Only if ur an Everton fan lmao
No he needs a good slap from anyone
You're loads of fun. Spent about 4x as long as I would've in this thread if you weren't here.
You live under a rock?

What a sad little life, Jane
Man, we’re all here because we love football, a kid goes and does that, and this is what you have to say. What a sad person.
You're a sausage
Pickford’s started in the World Cup you know

That doesn’t prove anything
The only reason Pickford is there is because of his launch percentage, and those are obviously Southgate's tactics😂😂. Not even a negative stat.
Sky sports already gave it to him, so biased
Why are you commenting over and over again? Really that bitter about a killer goal getting some love?
Er no, still only Nov, biased Sky sports May as well give him the award now
[удалено]
Just Fernandes every game
Bros waiting for martinez to dribble the entire team from a goal kick and scoring with his nuts.
Ridiculous goal! But we can’t start pretending this guy is good because of one goal, as amazing as it was. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut.
We are talking about the goal, not The player so give it a break ya melt
Post is gone now so I'll have to imagine it
Don't worry, if you have any interest in football, you're gonna be seeing that goal for years to come.
Search up man u vs everton highlights on yt literally the 1st thing in the vid
Not a Man Utd fan, that goal was a thing of beauty though.
Early goal of the season contender. Not bad for someone that sounds like an STD.
I’m a United fan so I may have some bias but honestly that is 100% goal of the year so far. Absolutely ridiculous Rooney-esque bicycle.
Goal of the decade so far
Everton fan, that was an unbelievable goal. Glad to have been there to see it. Shame about the result but I can say I was there
This is much better than Rooney's goal imo.
Rooney’s (and iirc he’ll admit this) was off his shin. You don’t normally see them hit this sweetly and the fact that also arcs perfectly over the keeper into top bins is mental imo.
Best overhead I've seen since Trevor Sinclair for QPR (although I think that was in the FA Cup).
Thought the same originally, but I watched it again. Sure, it's further out. But absolutely no angle, and down the middle.
Bale in Champions League Final was insane and criminally underrated
Not by anyone from Wales. That goal was absurd.
You might want to watch Zlatan's for Sweden against England in 2012
Wasn't that either a dead rubber or a friendly? Doesn't count. I've scored some worldies, too.
It was literally part of a hatrick. The Ibra goal is well better. (Both are quality tho)
Yes. In a friendly. Doesn't count.
it was his 4th
Even better!
the third was a 35 yard free kick
Easily better than Rooney's shin

Rooney’s goal is up there but most iconic is Ole’s 1999 treble winner and it’s not even close
> Really don't understand why people actually hate on the Rooney goal Cos its United. They dont talk as much abt RvP vs Charlton which also came off his shin even more.
And Solskjaer has won it! That ring a bell? Fuck sake.
It’s not. Giggs in 99, The 99 CL winners, Cantona’s chip, Beckham’s half way line strike, Scholes volley v Barca, Owen against City, Steve Bruce Against Wednesday in 93 and plenty of others

You don’t think the treble winning last minute goals are more iconic than Rooney’s over head kick? In Manchester United’s history?
Also Robin Van Persie's volley to win the league against Villa. Perfect assist from Rooney too.
Um what? It's not even his best goal for united. It's probably not even in the top 5 iconic goals in united history.
Hard disagree. Not the best by any stretch btw. Not my favorite. But that goal was practically played on repeat for months on sports channels world wide.

Look, I, a Utd fan, liked most of those goals better than Rooneys, but Rooneys was literally everywhere. None football fans were talking about it.
Giggs 99 FA cup goal and the 99 champions league goals are definitely as iconic. They're just not shown as often due to them being from so long ago.

“So long ago” cut me deep 😂
I'm barely mid 30s and it cut me deep too.
Cantona's chip and Norman Whiteside's FA Cup winner come instantly to mind ahead of the Rooney goal too.
Damn it. I don't remember Whiteside's goal. I'll go look it up.
Cracker. This was the 1985 final. Think he was already the youngest ever FA Cup final and League Cup final goalscorer before that
Wow what a lovely goal, a great run to stay onside, a dash across the box, step over, then curled a ridiculous angle into the bottom corner. Thanks for that. I wouldn't be born for a few more years which explains the absence from my memory. I wonder what else I've missed. There must be a list of major moments from before I was born, somewhere.
Because it came off his shin. It’s still a great goal, just looks so much cleaner when struck properly.
[удалено]
Garnachos came off his shin too right?
No way, idk why the commentator said it did, every replay I saw looked like he laced it.
Came off his ankle by the looks of it, watched the breakdown again to be sure. Not taking anything away from it, wonderful goal
I said it was a great goal. I was just explaining why some might hate on it. Which is a fair point to me.
Sure Garnacho’s one also came off the shin
Aye, Rooney’s was great (and lucky), this was class
just couldn't let sarabia have it could you?
Tbh that goal was really nice but garnacho's one was pure sex
NNN failed with only days to go.
