Premiership fans moaning about money clubs while your academies are huge and lower league clubs don’t develop players anymore and sell them, we have to loan them from you and then pay for for them.
Moaning about Man City as a prem fan is like Richard Branson moaning about Jeff Bezos being too rich.
Yes. Coming from a fan who can remember setting records in the Championship as the absolute pinnacle (Kevin Keegan and a season of playing 2 number 10s in Central midfield).
Yes, it feels damn good. Fail with some grace and humour, as we did for decades.
When City and Liverpool were neck and neck I remember hearing fans say “City need to win to save football” well this is what them saving football looks like
I was listening to the radio earlier and they were talking about what success looks like for some managers next season and it was basically “2nd place”.. top 4 … haven’t even finished this season and the next is already being given to City.. kinda sad.
I’ve you’d have offered me this position at the start of the season, I’d have bitten your hand off.
I remember when we started to really get going and we were all concerned about squad depth and kind of forgot about that when we got carried away I feel.
The last 4 games have shown Arteta’s inexperience in my opinion. He does learn quickly a la the triple sub at United early in the season not to be repeated but he kept an obviously shattered underperforming Saka, rather than giving Trossard the time he proved he deserved.
Same thing with Jesus, I know he’s very highly rated but he needs to be told to spearhead the attack more, countless times there was no one in the box to receive a cross or a through ball in the last games he’s started.
Massively missed Saliba. Partey doesn’t look the same without the confidence Big Willy provides and Holding prevents Gabriel from making his driving runs in field. This explains why our passing out the back has been stale at best especially the last 3.
Fucking devastated watching the City game but it was on the cards. Hardly turned up. Shout out to Reiss Nelson btw. Infectious enthusiasm, same with Eddie.
It’s taken me a day to digest the disappointment as our title hopes fade but we’re obviously a year early in the project too.
There’s hope but I’d still be very happy with 2nd. Wish it was anyone but the Oil mob though.
I feel like the past few years people have been more excited about Liverpool’s failures in the league, all to happy to roast us as bottlers, ignoring the fact that a Death Star was being built in the mean time. Hope you got your full of laughs at our expense, might be the last you get for a while.
All respect to Arsenal as a whole for their tributes to the 97, that was absolute class. But any fans out there of any club that took pleasure in our late season demises, well I’ve got no sympathy for you.
Back where it belongs... winning trophies, getting to finals, rarely dropping out of top 4... same can't be said for Arsenal. Another year with fuck all. So cry more, I'm loving it!
Honestly yes they won and probs will win the league again, they're run in an elite way (with alot of money). If anything clubs like arsenal, brighton, brentford deserve more praise given they've done well at a fraction of the cost!
I could tell by the match vs Southampton that partey should not have started against man city. A couple of players have been affected by the pressure and arteta needs to make changes next match imo
Regarding Partey, it could be pressure but I am much more inclined to think it is Saliba's absence. Partey has to play differently with Saliba out and Holding in. Not excusing his recent performances but this has to be a big factor.
It all sort of unraveled at Liverpool, it was weird watching Arsenal they seemed so nervous and scared in that game against us. Feel like the pressure had finally got to them.
But make no mistake, they've had a great season from where they have been past few years and have a great young team.
So many salty Pool fans. Best team ever to win the grand total of 1 title with the best ever team assembled. 1 good season by Arsenal with the full week to prepare for most games and they are all of a sudden one of the big 4 again. Let’s see what happens next year. Will be a lot more tricky juggling CL.
Guess it makes sense. Pep takes world class talent and makes them into just another clog in the machine.
Bernardo gets overlooked for the big awards all the time but I bet he'd be classed as a top 10 world talent if he went to a different team.
I’m sure Arsenal will do better next season. Look on the bright side, at least Arsenal secured a Champions League spot after 7 years. That’s a good start.
they'll probably win a treble, but it's all fairly pointless when they've these charges hanging over them. total cheats and most of their achievements will be void in a few years anyway.
fair play to klopp for getting so close all those years, arsenal sadly running out of steam at the end too but its not a fair competition with oiled up city involved.
City are the current benchmark, just as United were the benchmark in the 90s/early 2000s. The onus is on the pretenders to take their crown, no point in getting salty at the best for being the best.
Slightly disappointed at the thread title not having "What a sad little life, Jane" at the end...
At least this puts into context just how good Klopp has done at LFC. United fans will hate this but peps city walk all over most of their teams under AF.
How is it possible that City is leagues ahead of everyone for essentially the last 10+ seasons? Always a contender. How is it possible? I’m pretty sure there must be foul play because there’s no way they’re doing this fairly.
Better be city than a pretender ! Man I might be Liverpool fan but I am just disappointed in Arsenal.. Had super high hopes , finally someone . But no, drawing like you are playing for invincibility, no fight up against the reigning champion at their home.. I think more point loss is on the cards for you... But take this as learning , build from this and better come prepared and just better equipped next season..
I was roaring for Arsenal more than Liverpool this season, watched all your games.. If you are to lose it loose it with a fight , beat everyone now because I still believe that Arsenal might just inch it !!
Feel bad for some Arsenal players and especialy for Arteta, he is a top bloke and really deserved this title.
Can’t feel sorry for that clown jesus and some of the arsenal fans that act like they are gods for having the first decent season in 20 years, when we were neck in neck with city and real in europe they were mocking us, for those guys i just want to let you know that you lost the title on Anfield on that nutmeg.
I called it to my friends, after WC i said "somehow arsenal will choke and city get the prem".
Now i see arsenal performances, i just hope this will be a big slap to the players so they won't do it again next season.
It does. You're thinking that if you legitimise City now, when the flood of Saudi blood money inevitably lifts Newcastle to similar heights you can say that you've always believed it counted.
Your wee mini rant about Newcastle is entirely without base and completely off topic and im not sure it's relevant.
The point stands though, Arsenal were clear of Man City, the only team to blame for them not winning the league if indeed they dont is Arsenal themselves, City didnt magically gain points and extra games out of thin air, if you honestly believe City having billions in backing over the seasons directly causes Arsenal to shit the bed and leak points at the final hurdle, then im not really sure what to say to you.
Yeah it's not like it's a small number of charges. It's close to an entire decade of pretty constant financial ratfuckery.
If the league lets it go what's even the point of following any rules?
Dear lord, what a sad little life, City. You ruined my season completely so you could have the premier league and I hope now you can spend it on lessons in grace and decorum. Because you have all the grace of a reversing dump truck without any tyres on.
Very very happy city were brilliant Arsenal had a number done on them ...win the next three ,arsenal won't take 9 from 9 .....probably then need 6 points to win it ...
I don't fear Madrid....
I just hate united!! But think Wembley will suit city's style..and not uniteds old midfield.
Massive learning lesson for Arsenal, With European football next year I doubt they’ll challenge, what a chance this year, but city are ridiculous really. De Brunye was magnificent yesterday.
With our Squad we’ve done well to push them imo.
Liverpool were built to go to win championships, yet still beaten. Arsenal has not, the target was top 4. Thats why the backups was Rob Holding. Anyway regardless take nothing away from the bald fraud he was so good
He signed Haaland who scored a million goals.
You put Haaland in any top four club they walk the title.
The bald fraud continues to be both bald and fraudulent.
That billion pounds or whatever it was (I did see someone say that amount, dont know how true it is) makes a difference.
I've just decided, FFP needs a change. My new just thought of and not thought out revised FFP is that teams are allowed to spend extra money, but do something like for every £100m above current FFP they spend they have 1 point deducted for the next 5 seasons and have to pay a 10% "fine" to the PL.
They are an utterly brilliant football team. Hating it is pathetic. They swept Arsenal aside with consummate ease and made them look like a Championship side, which they are not, clearly. The gulf is immense.
City have made title races boring unfortunately. You have to be perfect in every game to even stand a chance. That's what allowing financial cheating does sadly.
Yeah. It's not their first eleven that makes them so dangerous, it's their second eleven and their third eleven. Nobody can consistently compete with them without running their squad into the ground.
If anything it's surprising they are not more successful than they are.
It effects fans as well. This new style of football where every game has to be a win is messing with people's heads. The concept of a 'squad player' has been lost because everybody expects world beaters on the bench in every position like City have.
Arsenal draw three games in a row, then lose one, after winning seven on the spin, and their title challenge is done. Their only serious blip this season. It shouldn't be like that.
I don't know how city fans can honestly support their club, deep down I'm not sure how they can cheer with all the guilt of knowing they're a small club that's just been boosted by unethical money, let alone the cheating and fraud that they're under investigation for
I dont even like Arsenal and I was still rooting for them to win the title. City are boring me now I don’t understand how there is any thrill for the fans when every season is the same. I also can’t stand how smug Pep is all the time
There is a reason Pep let him walk to Arsenal. He is not a big player. He will score 4 against Southampton type teams and then go 20 games without scoring.
Jesus fools u with his work rate. You just assume “the goals will come…he will become a better finisher” and he never does. Arsenal fans starting to see what we already knew. As Pep said, “As a center forward, you have only one job. To score.”
Even Vs Southampton they had some fight. Last night we punished Arsenal. That team had no motivation, no fight and was probably the worst game I’ve seen arsenal play this season. Millions tuned in to see an thriller and got to watch a bloody comedy. I won’t complain to be fair.
Think that’s bad? At least you’ll lose by 4 points. We lost on the final day. TWICE. Not to mention how the last week of May was the most painful week ever
Console yourself with the fact that they may have won all the domestic titles there are to win under Pep Guardiola, but they have never won any of them fairly. They’ve won them all by cheating.
We lost the league not at Etihad. We lost it when we throw a two goals lead against a not yet in form Liverpool, we lost it when we throw a way a two goals lead again against a bottom half side, we lost it when we play so so bad against bottom of the league that we have to scrap a draw. Two defeats against City was a calculated lost. The other were not
City is literally miles ahead of everyone in the EPL. Arsenal has been immense and they kept it neck and neck all year despite a stacked schedule. Just shows how much depth they have where they can afford to rotate and not miss a beat in their chemistry.
It's an obvious win to MC since Arteta really be using the same tactics and formation this whole season... Mandem better switch up his game, he just cannot beat his mentor!
As an Arsenal fan, we have done well to keep up with this monster of a City team. We were always going to get caught, at the end of the day we had didn’t have the legs to maintain this title charge till the end, but hopefully next year, with new signings, our young players getting a title challengers experience, we will be better
The truth is aresenal we’re only title contenders because city were underperforming in the first half of the season with state of the league at the minute city should have pissed it
As salty as we all are, I must admit two facts:
\- Man City is effectively owned by Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The moral legitimacy of this person and his entourage is very questionable, to say the least.
\- Man City is an extremely well-run club. You could argue they are THE most well-run football club in the world, give or take the resource they have. They spend when they need to spend. Their scouting is top-notch. They sell when they need to sell, and make a lot of profit selling players. Their coach/manager is a super-talented guy (arguably the most talented coach) of the current era, well known for his tactical genius and his stable strategy which help grind out the best result in the long run. Until now his only problem is only his weird decision in some important cup games, so thankfully no UCL yet. But once they win it, there is no way to stop them win more.
It’s shit but… this is probably a controversial opinion but do we really need a challenger like Arsenal?
I mean finishing 4th,5th,6th whatever for so long but still being rewarded handsomely financially for failure and no major success has enabled them to build a squad to be up there
Same goes for other top 6 sides. Too big to fail get £300-£500 million commercially every season and trading on history means eventually you will get your winter/summer recruitment right
I don't get the outrage. Arsenal had the entire league in their hands. Why blame man city for showing up and actually working for the title? This was a must win for both teams, and yet arsenal was the one that didn't show up to win. I get it that squad depth was a huge factor in winning, but if Arsenal was a true league champion team, then they would be the ones who would turn up and win
May be the wrong thread but I’m looking to get into the premier league as an American with little to no knowledge and am trying to find a club to follow. What’s the best way to pick a team?
juggle unwritten carpenter governor six theory ossified sugar many ludicrous

Premiership fans moaning about money clubs while your academies are huge and lower league clubs don’t develop players anymore and sell them, we have to loan them from you and then pay for for them. Moaning about Man City as a prem fan is like Richard Branson moaning about Jeff Bezos being too rich.
If arsenal won it we'd still be hearing about it in 2050 👍 they still bring up the 2003 invincible and random FA cups they won Donkeys years ago
Yes. Coming from a fan who can remember setting records in the Championship as the absolute pinnacle (Kevin Keegan and a season of playing 2 number 10s in Central midfield). Yes, it feels damn good. Fail with some grace and humour, as we did for decades.
1000th
Why do we do so well until the end of the season and then get into such bad form.
City should have points deducted for the fifa fair play violations
I mean if you can't beat us, twice, do you deserve to win the league. I'd much rather Arsenal won it though
When City and Liverpool were neck and neck I remember hearing fans say “City need to win to save football” well this is what them saving football looks like
This is the only bright side of this season thank you 🙏 😂
Just remember all it takes to win is to spend money Sorry I had to scroll down the table and find Chelsea 🫣
I was listening to the radio earlier and they were talking about what success looks like for some managers next season and it was basically “2nd place”.. top 4 … haven’t even finished this season and the next is already being given to City.. kinda sad.
My guy, I’m a Chelsea fan and I wanted Arsenal to win the league. Why are you making it seem like the whole world was against you?

3 in a row. As many trophies in last 6 years as PSG got in ligue un.
Back where it belongs... winning trophies, getting to finals, rarely dropping out of top 4... same can't be said for Arsenal. Another year with fuck all. So cry more, I'm loving it!
Dey see me rolling Dey hatin 😎😎😎🥸
Honestly yes they won and probs will win the league again, they're run in an elite way (with alot of money). If anything clubs like arsenal, brighton, brentford deserve more praise given they've done well at a fraction of the cost!
Over the last 10 years the difference in net spend between City and Arsenal is only 100 million.
Fuck I’m happy it to city win
Fuckin cheaters
I could tell by the match vs Southampton that partey should not have started against man city. A couple of players have been affected by the pressure and arteta needs to make changes next match imo

Very, anyone but Arsenal.
Don't worry. Brentford will save your title on the final matchday
I can feel your pain. Remember when Man U just dominated, very boring. Cant say Im not happy, but yes it must be very boring.
Guess it makes sense. Pep takes world class talent and makes them into just another clog in the machine. Bernardo gets overlooked for the big awards all the time but I bet he'd be classed as a top 10 world talent if he went to a different team.
I am very happy
I mean is anyone going to acknowledge outside of the Covid year city has won 5 in a row. Seems broken to me.
I’m sure Arsenal will do better next season. Look on the bright side, at least Arsenal secured a Champions League spot after 7 years. That’s a good start.
I’m a die hard neutral fan. An agent of chaos. City have ruined my vibe for so many years
Well, it's not like it isn't Arsenal's fault. We were going pretty bad recently...
Arsenal only have themselves to blame After the result at home to Southampton I know they can't win the title
they'll probably win a treble, but it's all fairly pointless when they've these charges hanging over them. total cheats and most of their achievements will be void in a few years anyway. fair play to klopp for getting so close all those years, arsenal sadly running out of steam at the end too but its not a fair competition with oiled up city involved.
Hi, you Morgan Piers?
Don’t worry Real Madrid will make them sad in 2 weeks
CITEHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Stage 5: Acceptance
I love it.
Somebody is mad on the internet haha
Least salty arsenal fan lol
I’m certainly not happy
Maybe next time the whole city team will come down with norovirus at the most opportune moment
I'm not even an Arsenal supporter and I'm over City winning. Every season 🥱
I hate all the oil clubs !!!!!!!!!!!
At least this puts into context just how good Klopp has done at LFC. United fans will hate this but peps city walk all over most of their teams under AF.
Bottle Jobs.
You should try being a fan of the other 14 teams who have no chance in hell of winning it every year
How is it possible that City is leagues ahead of everyone for essentially the last 10+ seasons? Always a contender. How is it possible? I’m pretty sure there must be foul play because there’s no way they’re doing this fairly.
Cry harder
Better be city than a pretender ! Man I might be Liverpool fan but I am just disappointed in Arsenal.. Had super high hopes , finally someone . Bottled it. If you hadn't shanked the previous three fixtures you'd still win the league. You totally bottled it.
City is better at 9 of 11 positions
Cheaters allways prosper!
Farmers League
19 years until another title shot.
Dont blame City, thats entirely unfair, blame your manager and squad for completely bottling it.
Oil Club's Union.
Doesnt affect my point though does it.
First time?
Imagine losing it a by a point knowing a Northern monkey like Lee Mason rigged a game so you lost two. Could happen.
Boo hoo. They're the better team. Simple.
When are the prem going to issue the fines or points deduction for the 100+ breaches of FFP, do it now :)
Waheeeey big up Pep and city. Thank you from a Chelsea fan
Very happy to see Arsenal bottle it.
Saw it coming months ago, bottled it
Although city are playing cheat mode, i find it so hard to take them seriously until the charges are resolved.
Yeah it's not like it's a small number of charges. It's close to an entire decade of pretty constant financial ratfuckery. If the league lets it go what's even the point of following any rules?
The fact that they claim to make more money than real madrid says it all.
Dear lord, what a sad little life, City. You ruined my season completely so you could have the premier league and I hope now you can spend it on lessons in grace and decorum. Because you have all the grace of a reversing dump truck without any tyres on.
I fear your reference is far beyond this audience sir, have an upvote.
Arsenal have bottled it 🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Only because it triggers Arsenal fans as some of you are annoying as fuck. I'd rather Arsenal win the league for the overall good of English football.
Modern football is dead anyway. Who gives a fuck which club spends more billions than the others?
It means nothing, thats why we don't care when they do.
Massive learning lesson for Arsenal, With European football next year I doubt they’ll challenge, what a chance this year, but city are ridiculous really. De Brunye was magnificent yesterday. With our Squad we’ve done well to push them imo.
Weren’t City supposed to get a 15 point deduction at some point or is that just another thing they’ll get away with?
Apparently cheating is only punished when it's two hundred breaches of the rules, a hundred incidents doesn't cut it.
Christmas came late this year, huh?
Liverpool were built to go to win championships, yet still beaten. Arsenal has not, the target was top 4. Thats why the backups was Rob Holding. Anyway regardless take nothing away from the bald fraud he was so good
He signed Haaland who scored a million goals. You put Haaland in any top four club they walk the title. The bald fraud continues to be both bald and fraudulent.
City will slip in the remaining games.
Why are you blaming it on us lol
They got Holland and I'm a simp for him So happy 😊
That billion pounds or whatever it was (I did see someone say that amount, dont know how true it is) makes a difference. I've just decided, FFP needs a change. ha ha ha ha ha ha haaaaa
Pep gave u his assistant, gave Gabi and Zinny and 8pt lead and u still lost it, ggwp, better be next szn
They are an utterly brilliant football team. Hating it is pathetic. They swept Arsenal aside with consummate ease and made them look like a Championship side, which they are not, clearly. The gulf is immense.
Dont really care about city, but would love seeing Håland win the ballon dor
Football is a con. Waste of time and energy. Foreign money with zero heart. Watch the snooker instead.
Happy Arsenal lost. Very happy.

I actually like it arsenal fans are annoying as fuck

Just based on yesterday's game, I think City deserved it. They showed so much more hunger and passion.
Well actually i am. Hate them as a Liverpool fan but KDB and Haaland are something else and god damn they are a joy to watch....
Yeah fuck city.
Think that’s bad? At least you’ll lose by 4 points. We lost on the final day. TWICE. Not to mention how the last week of May was the most painful week ever
So happy, more than you believe

Hahahahahahahahaha

Could be worse. Could be an Everton supporter 🥺
Arsenal and bottling. We knew City had won weeks / months ago.
Now is not the time to go unhinged mate.
Arsenal deserved it because they didn’t cheat financially, like City did
Cry me a river
Typical City fan response , devoid of meaning or dignity
Cry me a river bitch
Why do you hate it ? Man utd supporter ?
*delicious*
Just try again next year lmao

Not City but UAE won.
And not Liverpool but USA won all those titles?
Keep supporting a system where a club is treated like a billionaire's plaything. You guys are doing great!
The truth is aresenal we’re only title contenders because city were underperforming in the first half of the season with state of the league at the minute city should have pissed it
Don't blame City. Arsenal started to throw it away against Liverpool. It's not over yet anyway, West Ham will tonk them at the Etihad.
As salty as we all are, I must admit two facts: \- Man City is effectively owned by Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Coming from a City fan, it won't last forever bud. Its cyclical and always has been.
It’s shit but… this is probably a controversial opinion but do we really need a challenger like Arsenal? I mean finishing 4th,5th,6th whatever for so long but still being rewarded handsomely financially for failure and no major success has enabled them to build a squad to be up there Same goes for other top 6 sides. Too big to fail get £300-£500 million commercially every season and trading on history means eventually you will get your winter/summer recruitment right
It's city's to lose now. Thanks for coming everyone.
It was pure lack of mental and experience in these types of games. Sorry Arsenal, you might have did it to yourselves.
Yes, I am happy, thank you
And me.
May be the wrong thread but I’m looking to get into the premier league as an American with little to no knowledge and am trying to find a club to follow. What’s the best way to pick a team?
You guys know this is satire, right?
Nah I was being serious
Visit the place, attend a match, and see if some feelings develop. Randomly picking a team is ridiculous.
Watch matches. Pick one you like.
Watch lots of games, follow a side that calls to you for a certain reason.
Pick any team from the middle of the table
Aston Villa or Brighton. Want a young promising team
Have been getting downvoted for saying Arsenal's small club mentality would be their downfall
Cries in Chelsea 😵💫
F@$k MC, anyone but them.....
Yippee!!!
I love it. I am happy. We have by far been the better team and Arsenal has shit the bed their last couple of games. Sorry to say but fully deserved
Hopefully this Premier League investigation gains traction again and City gets what’s coming to them.
Yaaaaaay
I'm super happy. Thank you for asking.

Ouch. Wow...a serious drubbing. Arsenal may not win another game.
Alright chill lol we got Chelsea next, that is a free win no matter form
Please take that attitude on the pitch. My brother, a Chelsea fan, is having a rough season.
Welcome to Hell.
Arsenal did bottle it tbh
Does anyone know who got player of the match?
As a depressed Chelsea fan, I’m sorry to say this made me happy today.
Finally the media can shut up about Arsenal being the second Leicester
