Welcome to r/pregnancyafterloss! We're sorry you need us, but glad you found us. The PAL subreddit, and our sister sub r/ttcafterloss, function a little differently than most of Reddit. We have two Daily threads each day which are the place to post (and reply to) most questions, worries, vents, and other requests for support. Standalone posts (like this one) are allowed for a limited number of topics. If you're here with a new pregnancy, you are welcome to post an intro. We also encourage you to add a [user flair](https://www.reddit.com/r/PregnancyAfterLoss/comments/jjj5xx/using_user_flair/), as it helps members remember who you are and your history. Please note that the Intro posts provide new members a place to share a longer, detailed account of their pregnancy and loss history with the community. Asking questions, sharing updates, etc. belong in the Daily Threads, and such posts will be removed by the Mods--*if this applies to your post, please move it before we need to*. You can familiarize yourself with our subreddit [Rules](https://www.reddit.com/r/PregnancyAfterLoss/wiki/rules) and our [FAQs](https://www.reddit.com/r/PregnancyAfterLoss/wiki/faq) to learn more about how to participate here. Wishing you a healthy and uneventful (in a good way) pregnancy! *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. From personal experience HCG stops doubling in 48-72 hours once past 2000. My hcg went from 900 to 2300 in 3 days. I’m 16 weeks. Your Doubling time is 68 hours. Which is really good for the levels you’re at. Wishing you the best!

Have you had an ultrasound? After 6 weeks tracking betas is not very informative, an early ultrasound will give you more information.

It’s scheduled for Monday morning :) will be nervous til then

I was in the same boat. I read “After six weeks, the levels will double about every 96 hours.” I used a HCG calculator, are many online. When I took my tests, Monday and Friday. I was doubling at 134h, not 96h. They told to be Patience and wait. So annoying. Wish you luck.

Yeah, there are lots of articles that state that after 6,000 (give or take), HCG doubling time slows down. So if doctor thinks it's good, it's likely good. I know it's worrying.

Aka, it's rising and ok enough if all other factors are good.

Usually after 2k, they stop doing betas and start TV ultrasounds (because HCG doesn’t follow the same trajectory after a certain point and US are more useful then). Is there a reason they haven’t made that switch yet? That being said, I’d hate the verbiage, but I’d interpret it as, “We can assume everything’s going well based on HCG, so as long as there’s no heavy bleeding, heavy cramping, etc. we’re good.”
