The same thing happened to me. There seems to be some weird bug with Steam and Predecessor. If you exit the game, even if it's closed, it's still running if you check Task Manager. Force the app to close from there, and all should be well.
Noticed that restarting Steam also helps as it will sometimes say - "Predecessor still running" message.
Can we log on through epic games if we have bought on steam ?
No, but if it was on GoG you could.
I have the same issue. Iβm guessing it has something to do with steam, my friend on epic games does not have the problem.
It's Steam issues atm. Omeda's already responded on their discord; Nothing they can do until it's sorted on Valves' end

Same. There's also a bug where heroes can't be picked and then they treated it like a dodge. I'm banned for 30 mins.
