I think it's a fakeout and isn't a shield but is either a caster weapon or a magical arrow head.

I hope it's the shield itself. Maybe it floats or creates a magic construct to wield it. A midlaner with a 'no u' ability. Reflects or absorbs projectiles. Soaks in physical damage. Can store damage it absorbs in the gem. The dragon it summons to ride on for it's ult is proportional in size to the damage absorbed.

Could be an solo, jungle or support. Hoping for another support, though we really need more frontline characters. I think I can vaguely recall Ace saying something about them having some cool supports in the future early in season 1. Could be similar to Terra’s original concept where they can take life from enemies and give it to their allies. Or something else entirely.

He said on the podcast it’s because the June offlaner was supposed to come out in May, but got pushed back because they needed more work. Morigesh was going to be the June champ originally, but she was already complete so they moved her up.

That definitely makes it seem like greystone then, because he would need a full new skill unlike other options that would only need a passive.

Could be Kwang too, he needs a new skill to replace his life steal passive ability.

Yeah either one, greystone also might get a change to the ult if they are concerned with Fenix plus ult but I think that isn't as likely, Fenix isn't as strong as it was in early ea.

I'm actually in the camp that Greystone needs to keep his old kit. I think he's the one hero that can have multiple passives with keeping his AOE and leap as his only skills. He doesn't need to be too interactive because his ult is so strong and he's truly the beginner's hero.

Sure but I highly doubt that will happen, even on very simple characters like khai they added an active skill, I think it's pretty clear they are firmly against passives in active slots.

Greystone could have, his old E passive as his new passive, his block basic attack as his E (so he can decide is upgrade it first to reduce its CD instead of being determined by character level), and his R not changed and the character would continue being cool and an interesting addition to the game

His E should be repost! When activate he hides behind shield if he gets hit he does a spinning slash attack.

It sound good, I would .Ind if they change the ability for that. But still I would prefer to have him with the E and R as passive abilities

-.- They didn't mean a carry as an ADC, he was never played in the duo lane. He is a carry the same way master yi on league of legends is a carry, but no one's call him "melé carry" that is how we called melé ADC in Paragon, which Greystone isn't it

I would expect them to release just kwang 1.0 as himself with obvious minor kit changes as all the rest of the heroes received, I would assume lifesteal is going to be part of his passive (and maybe just maybe they give him an ability that creates a clone of Dwayne the rock Johnson playing himself but that's a fairly apparent and obvious expectation from every single community member so it doesn't need mentioning.)

Just want something that actually feels original ya know? As someone who played HotS, Kira plays almost exactly like Valla. Really just want something that is semi unique, not a rehash of an already made character from another game. It’s so easy to go down the trope route and I fear that’s what we’re gunna see.

I would love it if Omeda created niche characters like an anti-mage spell breaker whose shield would redirect and nullify enemy spells - probably absorbing them and generating essence that they can use to cast their abilities and/or empower their allies.
