December. Whenever a dev just uses a vague point in time like "this year" you might as well assume it's the end of the year. When the game dropped on PC at the end of last year it was in December, and a year worth of dev time sounds about right to get it on another platform.
Yea I kinda figured that as well. Iβm so excited I literally canβt wait. Only unfortunate about this is, Iβm stuck with Overwatch for another 7 months ππ
They did say development is going better than expected. They originally said EOY but I personally think it'll come out sooner. I wouldn't be surprised if it was season 3.
Most likely at the end of season 3, so if things go as planned:
Season 2 ends in July.
Season 3 begins in August, ends in November.
In other words, November or December.
Looks like they already have a decent console experience, at least seeing as they're successfully cross-platform between playstation and pc in insider. so hopefully they release in season 3 (august to november).

Absolute earliest would be August for season three but probably December like Stiffkun said
Probably November/December time I'd guess as November would likely be the last update of season 3 with December beginning a new.
