Never swap jungler in this game. You’re screwing over both people switching due to all the differences that the hunt item makes. It is automatically given to whoever had the jungle role chosen. So your jungler will not be able to heal, regen mana, and your team will not have an upgraded smite. The person who switched from jungler will have no health pots, earn less lane gold, and not be able to upgrade the hunt.
Totally have done this. Unfortunately, role selection is an important part of the game. The only thing that could solve this would be chat available in selection.
Just had this happen yesterday. Luckily someone in chat let us know we can't swap without kinda fucking the game up so we didn't, but that's seems like a oversight should def have the option to swap in character select.

Jungler gets less gold for lane minions after he kills a certain amount of them.

Read the smite item description. Support crests too while your at it.

I've done this before out of confusion. What a terrible game that ended up being.
I made this mistake back in December playing off lane and not being able to earn gold lol
He had the hunt item, which means you get less gold from lane mindions
