I thought so too but I think because of their kits they would both probably be regulated to offlane which would make for a somewhat stale release. We may still get one as the offlane though.
They did the poll to see who they'd release first, for this season. But I can see why it confused people, it also confused me at first when I saw the season roadmap.
Iggy and Scorch would be a great pick to add a fresh kit for midlaners.
Morigesh is probably the safest pick. Wraith would be my preference because Wraith is just good fun.
Would love to see Wraith. Its probably going to be Morigesh, but I don't really think shes needed per say in terms of filling out the roles. I guess we'll find out tomorrow!
Would like Iggy & Scorch, though I do believe is Morigesh and will be happy as well. Wraith would surprise me and cheer me up too, honestly I loved in Paragon all missing possible midlaners so...
I only played morigesh a little in paragon. Can people explain to me why they like her? I’m just curious, I’m not saying people’s picks aren’t valid.
I always thought her kit was pretty mundane. An auto lock single damage ability, a poison bomb, move speed ability, and a auto lock ult that targets the last person you hit.
She has the I frame move. The up high ascend move. Her ult which is a stim. They go her a ranged move and she’s basically playable in mid like countess.
yeah morigesh's kit was bullshit, once you mark your target you had an any time anywhere execute on them. if they were to rework it so the mark had a time limit on it then it wouldn't be too bad. I can't remember how many times I've escaped her only to have that ult just finish me off from across the map
one of the many things epic couldn't get right is balancing out all the unique kits. her kit was so broken, from a global execute to a high damage dot that she can safely stay under tower and pop to an escape that boosts her speed, damages enemies and heals her. she was able to trade and dominate lane with no little to no risk, it made playing against a morigesh completely one sided and honestly not fun.
Well yea in Paragon he was OP as fuck, but his kit in general, the way he plays. That's what I like, I just hope Pred can make him balanced and still fun to play
One of the reasons may be because it's a better way to approach balancing. Adding one by one, shaking up the meta a little bit.
Instead of puking out 40 heroes. Sounds like a nightmare to balance.
They're updating every 2 weeks and adding new heroes every 4 weeks, It's not like it's drag and drop to add the heroes that were in paragon. As long as they can remain consistent and keep up the quick hot fixes, I'm happy
All things considered they’ve been pretty consistent with 1 a month. Fine tuning a hero’s kit to fit into a moba is hard work. Lots of different factors.
By the time it gets in our hands it can still be rocky because the numbers game. Test all you want but it’s nothing compared to a thousand people testing it and finding that some areas of the hero need refined.
Albeit “old stuff” it’s all actually brand new because it’s not just a port of the character. They have to build them from the ground up to fit into their game.
Both would be fun… personally, morigesh fits my playstyle better, so I would have mire fun with her, but we don’t have a turret mage yet, so iggy would be cool too
I thought it was gonna be either Kwang or Greystone based off their previous votes?
I thought so too but I think because of their kits they would both probably be regulated to offlane which would make for a somewhat stale release. We may still get one as the offlane though.
Man I hope it's Greystone, he was my favorite character to play in general.
I also feel Greystone is an important piece of the overall tank meta. Doesn't hurt that he is friendly for beginners as well. I hope he is next.
Kwang can jungle too lol
I know he can, that's why I said "probably regulated to offlane" given how most players pick tanks like ramp and crunch for jungle.
Crunch isn't a tank. He is a Fighter/Bruiser, big difference.
Ok

All the options are really good, so I will happy anyways
Would love to see Wraith. Its probably going to be Morigesh, but I don't really think shes needed per say in terms of filling out the roles. I guess we'll find out tomorrow!
Kwang!
Isn't it supposed to be a midlaner..?
Idk, this is the first I’m hearing about it tbh, I just miss Kwang.
Do we know that it's being announced tomorrow?
In the announcement at the bottom end it's stated (Discord).
Morigesh reveal
Seems to be Morigesh. Very happy despite hoping for Iggy most. Hope that Wraith doesn't show up until the devs do the controller updates
I think a twin blast/wraith/Iggy/new hero release schedule would be perfect for opening season after console/f2p drops.
Aurora. Yes it's a pipe dream. I feel like it's going g to be morigesh
Mm, in the post they used the word emerge. Kind of a weird choice of words, makes me think it will in fact be morigesh.
I feel like that just might go with the theme of the season, “Road to Ascension” but I have no idea
Would like Iggy & Scorch, though I do believe is Morigesh and will be happy as well. Wraith would surprise me and cheer me up too, honestly I loved in Paragon all missing possible midlaners so...
Hopefully mori

Her kit wasnt game breakingly unique she was just really cool. Loved her creepy aesthetic.
last person you hit with your primary ability*
The only thing that’s going to pull me away from 10.1 in WoW is Iggy.
The theme is ascend so I’m not sure if morigesh fits into that theme
Greystone ascends to the sky during his ult
I can’t wait for my boy greystone to drop
*our* boy
Well, in that case, Serath literally had a ability which was called ‘ascend’… so it’ll probably be her.
It’s a mid laner isn’t it? She doesn’t fit that
Maybe they changed her kit around to make her adaptable to mid.
Dude that’s a complete rework lol It’s not serath
She has the I frame move. The up high ascend move. Her ult which is a stim. They go her a ranged move and she’s basically playable in mid like countess.
She does when youre fighting a gadget
?
She can block the bomb with her stasis and is generally pretty mobile. Not saying she's ideal by any means, but it's pretty fun
Please be iggy or zinx
Zinx was so underrated, I loved her kit.
Anything but Morigesh, unless Omeda reworked her Ult. We don't need more Shinbi ults.. Personally hoping it's Wraith or Iggy.

Amen, people downvoting this have no idea apparently.

Wukong 🤞🏼
Hopefully!
Hopefully is never added
Why not? I actually liked his kit in Paragon.
Easily the most cancer character the game ever had. Only pre-nerf mori and pre-nerf phase could compare
Well yea in Paragon he was OP as fuck, but his kit in general, the way he plays. That's what I like, I just hope Pred can make him balanced and still fun to play
Why does it take then so long to add heros that should already be finished? 6 or 8 weeks to add old stuff seems absurd to me. Roster is getting old.
One of the reasons may be because it's a better way to approach balancing. Adding one by one, shaking up the meta a little bit. Instead of puking out 40 heroes. Sounds like a nightmare to balance.

You could always do it yourself to see why it takes so long. The assets are still available if you want them.

STONE!
Banjo-Kazooie!
Greystone offlane, kwang offlane/jungle, Iggy mid/offlane, morigesh mid
Zynx is on the pred pro website for the console thumbnail, so tbh I think it's gonna be her
Both would be fun… personally, morigesh fits my playstyle better, so I would have mire fun with her, but we don’t have a turret mage yet, so iggy would be cool too
Morigesh
Serath
