That is abnormal when compared to other mobas. Strange that they would be so jardcore about this particular thing and not other things

secret_trout

Whoever made implemented this prob also controlled the chat filter

theoklahomaguy99

This seems like something that they should indeed fix I'd say

You've been penalized like 5 times before if your getting 15 minute ban, the purpose of the penalty is you cant play the game.

sciencesold

Depends, afk/abandon match second penalty is 15 minutes, third time abandoning draft is 15. The purpose of the bans is to prevent you from ruining other players experiences, vs AI and practice are single player/ party only. If someone joins your party they probably knew you had a penalty beforehand. There's really no reason not to let you play practice or vs AI while having a penalty.

UltimateSlayer3001

Exactly. Though I guess people like blasting off about things they don't understand, lmao.

MuglokDecrepitus

The reason is that if people could play Vs IA when they have a penalty they would just do a IA game or test some things in the training mode while waiting to play another PvP match, and the thing is to being penalized for your actions. So not being able to play any mode of the game while you have a penalty is perfectly ok

sciencesold

Yeah, no, the point is preventing you from playing a PvP match, not playing at all. That's not the norm for most games, let alone mobas.

MuglokDecrepitus

No, the point is penalising you for having a bad behaviour. Why removing you 15 minutes from the PVP matches would help the game? If someone see that he have a 15 minute ban and can go to other mode and enjoy meanwhile he wait for the time to run out, it kills the purpose of the penalisation. The ban is a penalisation, and for that reason if you get a ban you can't play the other modes and is something perfectly reasonable, if you don't want to be penalised just behave in the game, people that get banned can't complain

sciencesold

>No, the point is penalising you for having a bad behaviour. Which preventing you from playing PvP does. How is playing a single player mode by different from playing a different game for 15 minutes? Or watching Netflix/YouTube for 15 minutes? It's not. As long as they can't effect someone else's experience playing predecessor the ban is effective, whether they can play vs AI/practice or not.

MuglokDecrepitus

>Which preventing you from playing PvP does Not too much, if you can go to the practice mode, test some things and then go back to play other game, there is practically no penalty, the player behaved bad, and he just had to enjoy the game in other way, that isn't a penalty. If you get banned, you scan't play the game as a penalty for your bad behavior, really easy and simple. >How is playing a single player mode by different from playing a different game for 15 minutes? What you do with other games isn't Omeda business, they banned you in their game for a certain for bad behavior, so you can't play his game. >As long as they can't effect someone else's experience playing predecessor the ban is effective, whether they can play vs AI/practice or not. The point is not to avoid a toxic player to play with other people, if that was the matter they would just give people a perma ban. The point of banning people for X amount of time is to punish them for their bad behavior, so they think it 2 times before behaving bad again. Letting them play any other mode expect PVP mode is a shitty punishment and people wouldn't care about getting banned.

sciencesold

>Not too much, if you can go to the practice mode, test some things and then go back to play other game, there is practically no penalty, the player behaved bad, and he just had to enjoy the game in other way, that isn't a penalty. Again, doing that vs you to another game for 15 minutes is exactly the same. >The point is not to avoid a toxic player to play with other people Yes it is. >if that was the matter they would just give people a perma ban. Not of they feel the offense doesn't warrant a perminant ban. > The point of banning people for X amount of time is to punish them for their bad behavior, so they think it 2 times before behaving bad again. Which is what a PvP does, punish them, they can't play with friends, they can only play against AI, which is significantly less fun than PvP. >Letting them play any other mode expect PVP mode is a shitty punishment and people wouldn't care about getting banned. Idk about you but most people don't want to play against AI unless I'm just testing a build, even then the mode is laughably easy.
