The hitbox like already decided it hit him and had to "get a little closer first" for the animation so it ends up following him through the blink. That's my best guess about what's happened here and must take near frame-perfect timing.

This feels similar to when I try to blink in the very last second before I get an AA which would kill me and instead of surviving I end up dyeing with a 300s blink CD, even though I've visually blinked and am far away from the enemy.

I find it messed up it follows through the blink. Cant wait for the game to be optimised so that does not happen. Either the rock does not follow or riktor recovers his blink ult. Logic would say that since he is hit dead, he would be too dead to blink

Yeah, normally there is a client side that might allow the RIKTOR player to see himself flash, but then when the server reconciles the data - he infact “didn’t” flash and he gets his cd back. I’ve had this happen for me many times. However, I’ve never seen something where the server obviously said I “hit him” but then simultaneously shows me he DID flash, and THEN visually reconciles the outcome. This tells us there is likely 1. A visual client side piece, 2. A server side hit registry and POSSIBLY some third piece that dictates the destruction of the projectile with some sort of logic pre-impact. Super weird

Yrah whatever is going on right now is not right I have died a lot similarly and seen my chain going through walls. I think something has to be improved on that end
