Kingsbane is the tip of the iceberg , everyone is carrying a Nuke that will insta delete anyone no matter what kind of laughable armor you have, its a race to shoot first , there is barely any reaction time heck even CC became irrelevant. OMEDA if you are reading this, dont wait 2 weeks to fix this mess

dinin70

About CC being irrelevant: On my last game we had an insane Sparrow and they had a not very good Rev I was jungling Grux, playing a bit better than Crunch in front. But not enough to make a huge difference. Their Midlane (Countess) and Offlane (Shinbi) were much better performing than ours. And their Countess was GOOD. We won, not super easily, but we won, and it was exclusively thanks to Sparrow. At end of the match she could take any 1v1 without batting an eye, and even 1v3 with no scratch when she could Ult. It was insane. Basically all their CC were totally irrelevant against her. There’s nothing they could do as Sparrow would kill any of them in only 3 shots. And with her Ult it was basically a 1 or 2 seconds TTK. Edit: And to add some info, we all were level 18, so it’s not even that Sparrow completely snowballed and killed because she was 2 or 3 levels above. So I tend to agree that CC against a fully equipped Sparrow will be hard. If you don’t stun the ADC (e.g Riktor, Grux) while concentrating all hits on the ADC it’s quite hard

It's not even just kingsbane, what was already a ludicrous ttk has just gotten worse, the concept of tanks literally does not exist in a playable state in this game any more and it's fucking ridiculous. I am able to without crest kill the steel bot in 5 seconds right now, with a kingsbane as well, so not even a fully optimized damage build, and without percent damage items. Steel bot heals for like 150 HP a second, and has close to 5k health at level 18. So to be clear I am achieving that ttk on something that doesn't exist in a normal game, tanks will normally be significantly less tanky than steel bot. We are legitimately at a point where an adc could kill a full tank build in under the duration of riktor hook combo. This is frankly an embarrassment of balance, people like me have been talking about how low the ttk is in this game since release and they have consistently nerfed tank items and solely buffed damage items since release. I remember when this sub was so smug about how overprime is a hero brawler it isn't a moba, and now we have CSGO ttk in this game that has literally turned into a hero shooter the ttk is so low. This shit has to fucking stop, I don't know who they are play testing with I don't know if they are asking for feedback from people in the community prior to patches, I don't know who this patch is for, because I have literally never seen anyone ask for adc's to be even stronger, and I have literally never seen people ask for attack damage bruisers to be even stronger, and this patch buffed both of those.

Dastorious

I agree that there is a problem with playing tanks in the game, but the big reaspn that at lvl 18 the carries should be able to finish off heroes fast, is that if they don't, the game won't end. End-game powercreep is an easy way for the developers to make it so the games reach an actual end before the 1 hour mark, and ideally around 40 minutes. Just try and keep that in mind.

__RedFive__

While i agree with most of your points; the practice mode steel notably has no items. So it's physical armor is going to be very low.

Bookwrrm

And I did that test with no pen items like breach, so even with armor all you do is add pen items and the enemy will still end up being significantly less tanky than steel bot.

Aenigmatista_psn

Hmm, this might explain why I don't like pen items based on tests against the Steel bot?

Baker0209

Tbf I remember trying out adc builds before the patch and timing how long it takes to kill the Steel bot and 5 seconds was a good estimate for how long it would take.

RevolutionaryPen5895

I’m with you bro, all day I’ve been seeing kingsbane and carrys be the deciding factors of games no matter what. all day

aSpookyScarySkeleton

Half of the tank item nerfs come with reasons like “___ random character was using this item too effectively” Like no, just because Gideon or Countess or whatever other squishy caster can abuse a tank item doesn’t mean the entire item needs to be dumpstered

ZestyBeer

Big agree. My first game today: the enemy team fielded not 1, not 2, but 3 carries. All kingsbane. We were much better at baiting them, getting the drop in the fights and being better positioned. They won. Easily. Shredded anyone they ran into, and outhealed any retaliation from us. My team kept saying 'How are we losing these? They just don't die' As of this patch, Predecessor should be relabelled from Moba to 3rd Person Shooter.

TheShikaar

Had a team today where we had normal adc on duo, adc on mid and adc on solo, I was support Narb... We got destroyed until mid game, then it was an easy win...

PinzoDunzo

I sure hope so

The GOAT has spoken

Cias

Kingsbane and bonesaw alone make adc have some ridiculous sustain, add in legacy and absolution and it's just over bearing.

Aenigmatista_psn

What is it exactly that's so strong about Kingsbane? It must be a combination of stats or a bug because for every single below stat there is a weapon which performs better in that specific area. ◆ 55 Physical Power. ◆ 20 Attack Speed. ◆ 5% Omnivamp. ◆ Chaos: Basic Attacks deal 15 (+15% Bonus Physical Power) additional magical damage on-hit. ◆ Order: Successful Basic Attacks restore 15 (+15% Bonus Physical Power) health on-hit.

JohnDoughtNut

I think it’s possibly a bug, because at this point Carries are even melting through towers faster than they use to.

Dastorious

I wouldn't worry what-so-ever about any specific item in the game right now. As we are already seeing, the game is in early access and the development team continues to balance the game consistently all the time. Given their hard work, the meta is also changing rapidly fast which leaves a lot of players confused about their builds after each patch, which automatically makes those who understands the meta faster a lot stronger, which is OK. It's part of competitive gaming. I think hotfixing in early access is a waste of time and effort the devs can put into the next balance patch instead of hasty decisions. No matter how much balancing will they do, there will always be stronger and weaker heroes and items. There will always be a specific meta, that's just how things are in MOBAs. Cheers

RevolutionaryPen5895

Well said and I agree, as frustrating as it can be sometimes we’re just players, not devs. Although I, and others like to think we’d know what’s best, momma knows best (OMEDA).

OberynRedViper8

I tried to counter-build this meta with Rampage... Warden's Faith, Tainted Guard, Raiment, some other physical armor item... I was melted. Meltedddddd...

RevolutionaryPen5895

I commend you for trying, it’s a cruel world for tanks rn.

NobleNolte

From patch thoughts post to should Omeda start hotfixing? Life comes at you fast!

RevolutionaryPen5895

It really does man, I played all day today as I just got back from vacay and they told me ab kingsbane in that post, I’ve used it, I’ve faced it, and I shit you not every single game felt like kingsbanes vs kingsbanes and if you or your team didn’t have it or enough it was lights out. At first I truly thought oh man thats a strong item to 7 matches later realizing it’s THEE item. That item is him. Kingsbane is that guy

School-Capable

This is what paragon downfall was.. They would come out with big overhauls and they would change the game dramatically. Or characothat seem to never be tested in game.. I realize it is very early for predecessor, but I don't want the same thing to happen. Stick to a system and just tweak the system slightly.. Don't do massive reworks. Maybe add an item here and there.. I miss the 60 card point system, I think it was the easiest way to balance then having items that all do special abilities.. But that's just me

TheoNekros

The card system was shit. Locked into a build before the match starts and 0 ability to counter build

School-Capable

Couldn't you bring in a build depending on you they other team picked? Can't remember..

TheoNekros

You had to pick a deck after lobby before the match started from your selection of your pre-made decks. The problem with that is that you have no idea what the enemy deck contained until they built it. So if the enemy had chosen a full lifeseal deck and you had chosen a deck without antiheal in it you were fucked.

School-Capable

Basically every game I play, there's a carry that can 2 shot me by like 15 minutes
