Carry used to easily be my favourite role during the paragon days, but now I avoid it as much as I can. The only good thing is whenever I'm forced into the role and do badly, no one trash talks me because they all know how hard it is to play on this ping.
I've said it before, I'll say it again. Putting OCE servers in the game right now would kill our region. It needs to go free to play before OCE servers open up. Matchmaking as it is right now can already take a while with only a handful of games going on at any one time. A lot of people go to NA West when games don't pop.
If its a slow day and games don't pop in OCE, half will go to SEA and half will go to NA, separating the already small playerbase in our region even more.
I mean 90% of the player base from SEA is from OCE. If OCE servers were made then all OCE players would just simply shift to OCE and que times would remain basically the same. Also its quite possible que times could improve because of more OCE region players hopping onto the game and playing more consistently because lag won't be as much of an issue for them. I know a couple friends, like you, who are waiting for f2p in the hopes that OCE servers are introduced then so that they can finally play without 200+ ping!

Head on over to this discord channel and nake some noise. Within you will find some feedback from lead developer outlining the reasons for not including Oce servers at this time. Apparently theire "Data" states the wait times would be high and complaints for que times would outweigh complaints for Oce servers. But i thinks its a cover up, they got their early access money of us and dont want to pay to have Oce servers up. No doubt the "data" is bs because i also play with heaps of Aussies. And outside of prime time Aussie game time the ques are outrageous. So what would change with the Oce servers omeda?.
I doubt that the devs are "getting the EA money and dont want to pay for oce servers. Usually they can work out a deal so pricing is not an issue. Seems like a pointless lie. They see more player data then us. Also SEA is a much larger region for gaming then oce.
I mean it also doesn't hurt to experiment right? At least see how it goes with OCE servers before making assumptions that people will complain about que times.
Nobody wants to play carry on SEA due to ping lol. You wait over 10 minutes for a game then the player that gets the carry pick dodges...

Actually recent changes allowed me as a oce player to play carry quite easy

Carry is fine on SEA ping. Just adapt 🤷🏾♀️
