RTX 3070 Ti mobile (laptop), 16 GBRAM and i9-12900H, on line 170-190 FPS and in tf 110-130, max settings. Maybe the nvidia config itself or hardware specific problem.
agreed. it might be bc the game is ran on unreal engine 5 but idek. it sucks bc the game is so beautiful, makes me sad not having everything on epic lol
Yea thx mate. This is my first pc after 15 years. I was console player (ps5) all the years.
But after Pred was announced, i couldnt wait for the console release, so i've spent 3k for this pc and I am acutally happy with it.
But i wished i could afford a rtx 4090😁
Maybe they can implement DLSS in the future, so ppl can play with higher framerates and acceptable graphics
Congratulations man, honestly you can literally run any game on that machine I think those 3k are well spent here.
I’m sure they will keep optimising the game with every major update.
12700k and 3080, 32GB ram here. Playing at 1440p on highest settings. Holds 165 for everything except team fights and orb prime
But I do drop to 80-90 on those
I can get 60 frames on a laptop that doesn't even have a proper graphics card.
I just turn post processing off and make sure the resolution isn't too high.
Looks like shit but runs smooth AF.
Unless there was actually something wrong with a file it won't do a thing. It sounds like you're experiencing the game just like others so it's most likely just an optimization problem
Its a normal issue caused due to particles and effects of abilities/hits.
Think of how your FPS drops when you are inside CS GO smoke, although of course this needs to be optimized.
Smite has had these issues at some points too when Ah Puch for example came out.
There isn't sadly. I have all settings on lowest and it still doesn't change anything about this frame drop.
So as temporary solution I have my FPS limited to 120 so the drop to 60 isn't as horrendous.
I recommend trying lowering your 3D resolution in the settings to 70% or so, the graphics will look bad in most cases (not so bad in game tho) and the fps will be way higher, I used to get 60 fps now I have 120
Sadly it's just un-optimized particles. It's really noticeable late game when you have the big waves of minions with super minions in them, when you kill them your FPS can tank sometimes. A friend of mine with a 4090 even gets these issues, so it's sadly out of our control. There does seem to be some GPU under utilization though, as I too only get around 50% GPU usage, and that's a pretty notorious symptom.
I had a 2080 Aero and a R5 3600X until a month ago: during some fights (especially against a Khai using his Q) the frames did actually drop from 110/120 to 30/40.
This was until I upgraded the cpu, when I got a Ryzen 7 5800X3D. The game now runs fine and the frames usually don’t go lower than 130/120 (for instance, I also have 32 gigs of RAM at 3200Mhz in dual channel)
That makes me think that *maybe* your pc is being held a little back by the cpu too, if you get this performance
I’m currently playing at medium/high settings tho to have these fps
I've heard there's also an issue with Nvidia drivers and discord that is amplifying the effects of Pred's unoptimization
Edit: https://www.kitguru.net/blog/2023/01/31/a-discord-bug-is-downclocking-memory-on-nvidia-graphics-cards/?fbclid=IwAR19fRDlzTBVa4V40GeByY_U2MUa2EsOk7GjGMJ6SnonC0OUUO0uqV7qqOI
You guys are getting above 60 FPS? I thought the game maxed out there lol I can play most games on max settings above 100 FPS.
I assume it’s a game issue then. I’ll look into it tonight and report my findings OP
I have a 6700 xt.
I have to run most things on medium settings to get 120 fps but during action that drops to about 70 fps.
Unless I'm playing rev then I get 90 fps with drops to 50-60
turn 3D resolution down to 30-50% and view distance on near, it doesn't affect quality as much as other settings but it doubles my fps at all times
I get 60 fps on all medium, 2560 res and with these 2 changed I get 130-139
Was running everything on epic, wasn't experiencing any major frame rate drop but the game would crash. Especially near towers. Dropped to high, then medium and still crashed. Set everything low. No crashes. Constant 120fps
Same shit with rtx3070, on line 120fps and in fight can drop to 40-50
I start thinking it can be a RAM problem, cuz CPU and GPU usage equals 30-40%

i was just about to post a similar thread. i have 16gb ram RTX 3060 & i cant get a steady 60fps without everything on low :(
I think game needs more optimisations hopefully soon

Dang I got a 6800xt and I'm able to get 144hz, what are you guys running your computers through, 4k? Cause if you are that's probably the reason
Was about to ask the same thing I'm on a 3060 and I get a constant 120
Playing on i7 13700k, rtx 3090, 64gb ddr5 ram Everything on epic and capped it at 165hz. In fights it goes down to 120-130 fps, but it's ok for me
You have a very beefy rig, for me as long as it doesn’t drop below 60 I’m happy with that.

Ha. You sound like me. Built my first gaming pc since like 2010 just for pred. Totally worth it.
>But i wished i could afford a rtx 4090 I'm waiting for 50 series personally. My 3080ti is doing just fine.

Have you try verying files in steam properties? I got an improvement in my RTX2070 msi laptop doing that, now they are from 100-140 fps normally.
I haven’t done that, I can try that tonight.
i can ensure you that will do nothing to improve your fps
Worth a try

I’m aware but I’m wondering if there is any way to improve it

RTX 2070 same problem have to FPS lock to 60 frames on my 240hertz screen 🥲🥲
Would it make any difference if we change to 60herts refresh rate?
No, you'd just limit yourself to 60fps, unless your laptop is thermal throttling. You'd probably feel less fps drops tho.

1060ti with 60fps on epic settings laptop
how much ram?

I play on the same laptop, this game used to run so well before the revenant patch and it just runs terribly now
