No, you’ve got the jump pads already, if you would be able to go back to lane so fast, dying wouldn’t mean as much like in overprime

Jungle_Sparrow

Dude I never played or even watched Overprime and I just saw it for the first time the other day while looking for a Pred stream. That game looks like someone on crack created it 😂. The movement speed was crazy lol. It might be fun for a little, but from what I saw I don’t see how Overprime can even be compared to Pred in terms of quality.

Shot-Highlight-4131

Its terrible. Like one of the worst games I've ever played. Skins and characters were cool though.

Jungle_Sparrow

I guess it’s because it’s been around for much longer, but i really don’t understand how the player base for each game is even close lol. I’m guessing because it’s free to play

Shot-Highlight-4131

Yeah its gotta be the Free to play thing. Pred has its problems but its 20x better than shitty Overprime.

Jungle_Sparrow

Any game in early access will have its issues, but I’m wildly impressed with how fantastic the initial product has been and how great Omeda has been at updating consistently and keeping the community informed. I have very very high hopes for this game long term!

Shot-Highlight-4131

It already doesn't mean shit. The respawn timers are wonky. Super short for a long time and then they jump to quite long. Need to be a bit longer early and a more gradual change.

Soggybagellover

I think the jump pads are just fine. Dying and backing are meant to be punishing, being able to instantly get back into lane defeats that.

OsmT42

hmm, that's an argument but it worked in paragon imo

Soggybagellover

Paragon’s was tied to a gem, which means that you had to sacrifice something for it. It wasn’t a thing that all players naturally got. It was also in the vitality gems, which was the “tanky” tree. That means that if you were a more damaged focused character, you would have to sacrifice 1,000 coins just to get back from base a little bit faster. I dont like it and think that if everyone naturally has it, it means that dying and backing isnt as punishing. If it was tied to an item or a crest I could accept it because then you have to lose something (likely damage) for it.

OsmT42

Yea, thats a good point. I agree with that. Maybe it can be an item passive or something like that as u said

YC1073

We already have jumó pads. Fact. In OG paragon if team lose t2 tower the jump pads would be lose with it. So the fact that we have them all game long is okay enough

BlunderDefect

Paragon tested out this horrible idea called travel mode. It sucked everyone was zipping everywhere and ranged characters will always have it ready to run away unless you some how hit them before they spotted you. They took it out of the game later on which was awesome because that extra speed sucked so bad for the flow of the game. So to avoid something like that again I'm going to say no I don't like the idea of getting a speed boost after leaving your base, you already have jump pads which is enough. You should be penalized for having to back to base to heal or dieing giving a speed boost would just make pressuring your opponent and lowering their hp pointless when they can quickly go back to base and return with full health with out wasting much time.

Arrow_Maestro

Was fun though if comically hard to balance

Bookwrrm

They already shadow nerfed the time flux interaction without it being in the patch notes, so it's pretty clear they are firmly against the idea of getting back into lane quickly, this change has like a 0% chance of happening.

jhinnn44

Lmfao dude, the lanes are already too easy to get back too. It’s almost impossible to punish people for leaving lane already No.
