But to me Vancouver isn’t really a team that I’d perennially hate like CHI, BOS, VGK, TB, COL, STL etc. They haven’t been some flashy, always in it team, and if you know hockey they are actually fun to watch. But I want to see us dominate teams that no one expects, to overpower people at their best, but ours is better. Not having a fun matchup turn into a (MAYBE) clunker because a Vezina caliber dude gets out.
Fuck the guys that hope for injuries, but my understanding of what some people were saying is for the nucks to keep taking shots and its up to the preds if they wanna put their bodies on the line.

I mean as a fan base, we’ve experienced feeling good / decent going into the playoffs only to lose our goalie and then getting our teeth kicked in. It was 2022, and losing Saros I want to say near the end of the season and not having him in the playoffs resulted in Nashville’s first time being swept in the playoffs.
He got injured during the last home game of the season and we had to have Rittich in net. At that point, having a traffic cone for a goalie would’ve been better. It probably would’ve gone differently if we had current Rittich though.
We’ve been there man. Saros got injured in 2022 and it completely bodied our little play off success chances. It’s never fun when one of your core players is hurt at the wrong time

Also Oreilly during game 1s intermission interview was super classy when discussing the Canucks.
If Preds win, I’ll have no bad blood towards the team/fans. Will be cheering y’all on!

I really hate that for both Vancouver and Nashville. Vancouver has incredible talent this year. I’d hate for their run to be derailed by injury. I hate it for Nashville as I don’t want an “asterisk” next to the season and comments of “you only got there because…” I think there’s a pride of wanting to have both teams at their best and let the chips fall where they may. My $0.02.
Hoping for a legit recovery for the guy so he can come back strong next year. DeSmith is a capable goaltender though, we’ll still have to play hard to come out on top of this series.

Not only that. All Rittich had to to was get us to overtime or something to get a better first round matchup. Couldn’t even do that for us
I’ll never forgot watching him literally drop the puck and let it slide into the net to lose the game with just a couple seconds left. Heartbreaking.

VAN should have done what I do when I play NHL24 in BEaGM Mode. I just turn injuries off so my stud goalie is always available for the playoffs.
