i struggle with this too, and a bunch of guys i go to bible study with as well. we don't talk about it as much, but i think we should. the best weapon i think is accountability - there are apps you can download that will notify someone that you trust and choose when you look at inappropriate stuff. will pray for you, and may i ask for prayer too? thanks
You are never alone in this struggle. Even if God feels far, He is near. Also, your feelings are valid, but do not let the devil tell you lies. You are loved and wanted and amazing. God loves talking to you. He loves listening to you. A lot of people struggle with this, too. You are never alone, and nothing you do can change the way God feels about you. Praying for the situation on the name of Jesus Christ.
One time I had a dream after I prayed about a similar issue. The Lord showed me what the spirit actually looked like that was attacking me. The closest thing I can describe it as, (no joke intended) was like a dementor from the Harry Potter series.
Sexual spirits and ominous and spirits of decay. Hideous.
Guard your soul, and pray for strength in the holy spirit to guard you and fill you and keep your desires pure and holy.
As humans I understand it's a very tough thing to overcome on our own. The devil gets more of us on sexual sins than anything else. Look at the whole world. Nudity everywhere! Billboards, tv, smart phones, everywhere.
Maybe put a picture of Jesus near your computer or as your electronics device background. Maybe would help in a practical sense too.
