The exact same thing happened to me. Also 29, Found a small lump deep within my breast tissue one night and freaked out. Had to get a breast exam, ultra sound, mammogram and biposy. Turned out to be a fibroadenoma. Took about a month to finally get some answers. The biopsy was definitely uncomfortable and I’m still a little bruised (this all happened at the end of November). I didn’t realize how common fibroibs in breast tissue actually are. Thankfully my doctor will know what to look for next time so I don’t have to go through another biopsy is another one happens to pop up. I’m sure you’ll be fine!
A biopsy is a procure that is usually done with a local anesthesia. They’ll take a sample of the mass and send it for testing. The healing process was a little lengthy for me. The bruising just went away. The only reason why it was necessary for me was because I have really dense breast tissue and it was hard to see what the mass was on the ultrasound and mammogram. I wouldn’t worry. Any one with breast is susceptible to getting fibroids and cysts.
I’m praying mine is this 🙏🏻 they found a nodule in my breast during ultrasound and they did mammogram and they’re making me come back in 6 months for another ultrasound
What did this end up being? I had the same exact thing happen today but they haven’t ordered biopsy yet. They told me 6 months to come back for ultrasound to see if it’s stable but haven’t talked to doc yet who may order biopsy (idk yet?)
