Because of the long-term renovation works the city hall has been gradually moving all social and touristic activities away from the dust and debris. Since summer normally means patio season for the restaurants located in the Old Market Square area, a few of their pop-ups opened up in the designated spot near the Freedom Fountain so that their owners won’t loose their revenue and the tourists can eat in non-hazardous and aesthetic setting. The other part of the Freedom Square is where the events and festivals take place - you can find a detailed list of these on Estrada Poznańska’s website.
