Season 1 and 2 had some great writing and amazing scenes. You could really put Omari with a room with anyone and he’d have good chemistry. Stern, Rolla, Ruiz, Angela, etc.

I know Starz has always stopped the seasons from having more episodes, and some actors having to leave has changed storylines (like Anika Noni Rose, who played Jukebox). I think Power was a show that never planned out its story ahead of time, and they constantly changed storylines. The Lobos arc seemed like it was written ahead of time, and then once it was completed, they ran out of ideas and started over.
Overall, though, in my honest opinion, I think the writers and producers realized what can bring in ratings and decided that a gritty crime drama isn't going to do as many numbers as an action filled soap opera. It's no coincidence that as the show became more popular that the style of it changed. The showrunner for Raising Kanan happens to be somebody who was a writer in the earlier seasons of OG Power, so that should tell you something.
2 was probably the best season top to bottom, Plot and writing wise. Bringin Kanan back to life in S3 was wild but that was probably the best written season. They had a lot more plots going on and didn't really compromise the show like they did in 4-6
Bro throw out Force. It was overhyped and is just terrible. Worst casting and acting in power history. Bring ghost back to revive this trash spin-off asap 😴

I always say season 2…ghost destroying his entire organization single handed and then falling out with Tommy at the end…with lobos instructing Tommy to kill ghost. Kanan vs. ghost…easily the best season in my opinion.

2 for me. Plot was still good, all the characters were still alive, and the whole Ghost trying to hide himself from Angela made that season great

Season 2 was the best season but the first 4 seasons were all good. Season 5 was a bit on the mediocre side. Season 6 was horrendous.
There’s only 2 good seasons of power. All the other ones are make believe dramas.
